16 Shopping

During breakfast my mum came up with a plan, saying that the men will finish with the decorations while the women go for shopping and help Golden pick up the best cloth for her birthday party and by the time we return let everyone get a present for her, I knew the present for my sister,it's a one she won't see coming.

we arrived at the designer's shop and my mum went crazy choosing different outfits wanting me to try all of them, some were heavy why some where too revealing, but after three hours of different gowns I settled for a strapless royal blue fitted long gown and a silver purse and sliver heels, it was so beautiful that I really felt I had a fairytale life and after that we went to the beauty salon where my sister insisted I dyed my hair more gold colour and I went along with it,after so many beauty treatments I loved the girl that was staring back at the mirror and I realised that I haven't let myself be pampered and I felt happy.

Getting home the whole house was fully decorated and I loved it, but what was shocking was the way Kenneth was looking at me as if he is seeing me for the first time.

When gold walked into the house I was so dumbfounded,she looked so beautiful that I couldn't find the right words to say to her,and just to make matters worse she was staring at me. I got nervous and started blabbering.

Hey what is wrong with you,and why are you sweating?, Nothing am just tired I will go and have dinner and then retire to bed, tomorrow is your big day I guess you will need to sleep early. Kenneth just left without saying much, I don't know what his problem is but after tomorrow he won't be my problem anymore as I was leaving I saw my sister talking to someone in the shadow in the direction that Kenneth just went, I went to ask my sister why she was talking to Kenneth in secret, but before I could reach he had left but the last I heard was her talking about money,I got furious thinking that Kenneth was asking for money from my sister.

Sister why are you talking to Kenneth? I saw fear in my sister's eyes as if she was caught doing something wrong but she quickly masked it up and she said that it was a surprise that she was planning for my birthday and didn't want to ruin the surprise,and I asked her why she was planning it with Kenneth but her reply was that it wasn't ken. I asked her if she was having money problems but she said no. sister if you have problem with money let me know, the only reason I work is for my family to be comfortable. little sis Richard is doing well he just closed a deal worth 30 million USD just before we arrived here and am also doing well in the hospital,am on my way to becoming chief surgeon.

I relaxed after what my sister said and as I passed the room my parents was staying to wish them a goodnight, I overheard her telling my dad she is worried about my marriage, and that tomorrow I turn 27 years and am still unmarried or even thinking about doing so. I went to my room to think about what I heard and thought to myself,who will marry a broken woman.
