169 The Wedding

Mr. Wayne felt his heart was ripped unevenly. His stubborn trait was unexpectedly inherited by his son. How could he give him an advise when his own home was wrecked?

"Son, I know that forgetting and moving on is possible though I was not willing to do it myself. But I want you to be truly happy. Go and find your happiness. "

Anthon smiled. "Good night, dad! Don't worry about me. "

Mr. Wayne once again pulled him into a comforting embrace before he closed the door.

Anthon recalled everything while he lied down on his bed. Jim was exraordinarily good to him and he could no longer afford to hurt him anymore. He planned to increase his manpower and resources to complete the project soon. The last thing he would be enduring was their coming wedding. After that, he would give himself the freedom. He would give Jia and Jim the peace.

He picked up the phone and did a video call with Giselle.

"Gis, which open country I should go? " He asked to a startled Giselle.

"What? "

"Am I not clear enough?" He chuckled but then narrated everything to her.

"Whaaaat? So you are now Jia's brother - in - law? "

"Yes. And that is exactly the reason why I need to find my destiny in another country." Anthon explained while laughing.

" We are the captain of our destiny, Ton. How are life lead us is according to the choices that we make. " She reminded him.

"I know. Only that I need to go away where I wouldn't be tempted to see her if I miss her. "

Giselle sighed. " Now that I'm planning to go home, you are also planning to go away?"

Anthon chuckled. "I won't be away forever."

"So when is that? "Giselle asked sadly.

"Until your house will be completed. I would just hire personnel to manage the construction and my other businesses. Anyway, I could still supervise it while I'm away. "

Giselle, the ever onion - skinned, began brushing her tears away.

"I'm really sorry, Ton. If not because of me, Jia wouldn't have run away."

"You're in it, again. It's no use crying over spilled milk. "

"Because everytime I see you hurting, I can't help feeling guilty. " She smiled while still crying.

"But I have you as a great friend and listener."

Before the wedding took place, Jia had already learned many things about the business. She did not stop her schooling even if she had just given birth. She would just pump her milk whenever she could get a free time. Anyway, her subject loads were very minimal at a time and her class hours were all in the afternoon. In the morning, she would assist Jim in the office. Mr. Wayne was also there to guide them.

She also made it sure that by the time Jian would be dismissed in school everyday, she would also be done with her office works. Then, she and Jim would pick him up.

Time passed by so quickly, and soon, it was their wedding day. The great day that Jim had always dream for her. Her parents and relatives were there. Her high school group was also there with the addition of Giselle and Brian.

Jian's Paradise , through the golden touch of Anthon's mind and hands, transformed into a fairy land. The hanging lights and flowers from the trees were magical. The enhancements of artificial coves, grasslands, waterfalls, ponds and bridges over streams and brooks looked real.

In that kaliedoscopic garden of flowers, the wedding altar was erected. Behind it was the backdrop of cascading waterfalls and heavy flowing stream with flourishing wild flora.

All the guests were mesmerized by its magnificence that after the wedding, the booking for the area became full for one whole year.

From the entrance of Jian's Paradise, the entourage arrived to the wedding site through decorated horse - driven carts and wagons with uniformed horsemen.

The first to arrive was the minister to solemnize the ceremony followed by Mr. Wayne and a woman, as Jim's parents. From their wagon, they marched directly into the red carpet towards their side in the altar. Beautiful wedding march was played by the orchestra who gathered at the opposite side of the altar.

Following on was the arrival of Jim and his bestman, Kuya Nap. Just as the first set, from their descent down the wagon, they marched into the red carpet along the rhythm of the music.

Jim kept his warm smile as he walked down the aisle but the moment he saw the woman by his dad's side, he instantly cried. It was his sister Casey, whom he had not met for so long already.

He remembered how many times he went to her house or schedule for an appointment through her secretary, but he was denied. Her sister harbored an anger, likewise, but thankfully, his father succeeded in his apology.

The moment he reached the side of the altar, he immediately went up to her and they both cried. It's been so long already...

Following on were the principal sponsors, the bride's maids and the groom's men in a convoy of carts and wagons. Still, they marched down directly through the aisle and found their place.

Next, was the lone arrival of the matron of honor who was Jay, who was already fighting with her tears ever since she was on her beautiful cart. Her tears was for Anthon whose heart was surely grieving right now. She was the planner of that blind date which was supposedly the surprise proposal of Anthon. She was the bridge that connected the two hearts who yearned for each other. She was the cultivator of that flame that kept burning inside their hearts even through distance. But now, she was walking down the aisle for someone else...

Then, Jian in his black tuxedo and a white flower on his lapel, walked confidently alone. He was bringing her parent's wedding ring. Following him were three beautiful girls who strewn their path with flowers.
