163 Jia, Slow Down!

"Jia, would I be like this forever? Spending moments with you in a borrowed time? " Anthon stole a glance at her as she was gazing at the picturesque below.

She sighed but did not say a word.

"Think about it, I will be designing for your wedding venue and matrimonial home. Next to

this, I would be preparing for your wedding menu. And of course, I just couldn't trust anybody to arrange your flowers. What's next? "

"You're in it again. Ton, can we just stay as friends? " She desperately ask. Did he think she felt triumphant at his every moment of pain?

"We're more than friends, right? "

He looked tenderly into her eyes.

"Ton, if you don't like it, you can stay away. If you feel tortured in everything you do for me, then do not do it. Why would you allow yourself to suffer? "

Anthon chuckled. " Why won't I refuse to give my best to the most precious woman in my heart? "

"You're really making me crazy! "

Jia retorted.

" If you're hurt at what I've said, what could be more painful than to see you in his arms? What could be more painful than to think that you're making love with him at night? And what could be more painful than to hear you say the second time your marriage vow? "

"One more, Ton, and I'll jump down at this hill! " She said angrily.

"Mommy! Daddy! Look, I am so good..."Jian yelled out to them while showing how he had learned to do the pedaling while standing.

"Wow, you're so good, my love! "

She yelled back while turning to Anthon.

"By the way, where did he get the bike? " She asked him.

"I bring it." He answered.

"Really? You should have brought a big one. I want to know how. " She said, trying to divert his attention from his sentiments.

"That's not a problem." He said as he pulled out his phone and called someone.

In few minutes, one of the guards arrived with a bike.

"Thank you, guard. Can you please call Manang Lydia to come over? "

"Yes, sir. " The guard turned his back right away and climbed into a motorcycle brought by another guard.

Jia just listened and wondered why he was calling for that woman. He seemed to understand her questioning look. "

"Just wait and see. " He said, each stare from him bore a hole into her soul.

Few minutes later, Manang Lydia came over.

"Sir? " She asked while she slightly bow down as she looked at Jia.

"Manang, can you please watch our daughter, please? I'll just teach this beautiful woman how to ride a bike." He said while giving her a wink.

"I'll place her at the cradle inside the car so that she will be safe from getting bumped by our son. "

"No problem, sir. You're wife is so pretty."

"Yes. " He gave her an amused smile.

He, then, held the bike and checked the brakes. He also adjusted the seat at a comfortable height for her. Then, he began his instructions.

"Plant one feet on the ground and left your right leg over the bike... "

"Rather than pedaling right away, push yourself off by foot. Tuck your feet upwards and onto the pedals. While in motion, maintain the bike's balance as long as you can. Once you feel the bike begins to tip, catch it by putting one foot to the ground, then push off again."

She, then, held the bike while Jian was cheering on her..

"Go, mommy! You can do it! "

She planted one foot on the ground and lifted her right leg above the bike. Then, Anthon pushed her from the back while she struggled to keep her balance.

Jian cheered more and giggled at how clumsy her mom looked. Anthon was already sweating profusely as he was trying to keep her from falling down.

"You should have worn a pair of leggings and not that very short one. You'll get scratched. And mosquitoes will feast on you. "

" Stop scolding me. Let me enjoy!" She yelled over her back.

After gaining a balance she sped off forward out of his sight. Anthon's heart pounded, afraid that she might lose control. To his relief, she was pedaling back towards him with a better balance.

"Stay away, son! " Jia yelled out with a big smile.

"Jia, careful. Just slow down. "

"Hahahaha! ' Jia and Anthon got startled to hear someone's laughter coming towards them.

To their surprise, Dr. Aijohn walked towards them. Following behind, were Jim, Mr. Wayne and Kuya Nap.

"Go, Anna! " Koko understood something when he glanced at the scared Anthon.

"Koko! " She slowed down and lifted a finger between his nose and mouth.

Anthon's eyes widened, afraid she'd lose her balance.

"Hello dear, dad, kuya! " She slowed down, still struggling with her balance.

"Careful, sweetheart! "Jim shouted.

"Stay far away from me! " She shouted.

She slowly drove off again until she was out of sight. And when she got back, she was already standing while pedaling.

Jian cheered. "Wheew, mommy, you're like me already! "

"Not so fast, Jia! Jim is going to kill me if you smash yourself!" Anthon shouted with anger while Koko laughed.

When she wheeled off away from them again, they saw her stopped and pulled out a log and placed it across the path.

Anthon's brows knitted as he wondered what she was trying to do and when he realized what she might be doing, he began to stride fast toward her but Koko held his hand.

Jia was out of sight again and when she appeared back in a slopy area, she pulled up the handle bars and lifted up the front wheel.

All of them gaped in surprise and fear except Koko who seemed to be enjoying.

When Jia pedaled normally, she began to speed off in the next second and did a bunny hop over the log she pulled over a while ago.

When Anthon saw her flying above the log, his heart almost came to a stop.

"Jia! You..! " Anthon yelled at her when she came nearer to them.

She smiled and stopped in front of Dr. Aijohn. "Wanna see me in a wheelie drop? "

A wheelie is an acrobatic driving or riding stunt of lifting up the front tire due to extreme torque being applied to the rear wheel or wheels.

"My goodness, Jia! " Kuya Nap exclaimed.

Anthon's eyes were almost emitting fire because of anger.

Dr. Aijohn chuckled. "If they can take it! "

"Jia, give me the bike! " Anthon scolded her.

Jim just watched her silently. There were still so many of her abilities which he did not know about.

"Don't worry, Ton, this bike is not designed for dropping. " She said with a big grin.

"She fooled you, Ton. Jia was our town's consistent champion in biking tricks competition even as a child. Her agility and skills in balancing and coordination were simply amazing." Koko explained proudly.

"And Koko was my tough

competitor! "

Jia realized that she might be scaring Mr. Wayne, so, she took off from the bike and put it down.

The moment she walked towards them, Anthon blocked her way to pinch her in his anger but she quickly moved aside and ran to Jim.

"Dear, help! "
