112 The Mystery of Her Rescuer

Jim handed her a calling card.

"Please call me if Mr. X will be here or if you see the woman we are looking for. I'll give you a reward a hundred times bigger than how much he pays you." He said hurriedly then thought about something.

"Call me whenever you have time. " He said.

The woman stared at him and he smiled before running away to catch the team up.

While on board again on the aircraft, Jim thought hard. His father, perhaps, had taken Jia away upon realizing that the authority had been searching for her. Perhaps, he had ordered to take her back to the city. He just felt that he would not do something bad to Jia. He needed his cooperation for the research launching. He surely must had thought that if he would do her any harm, the likelihood of his cooperation would be a total failure. Jia was her wife and hurting her would intensify his stubborness. It might even destroy their already thinned out relationship as father and son. He'll gave him what he needed. Anyway, it was only a piece of paper. Then, after this, they would get married again and he would take away his family far away from his influence. If this was the only way to have her back unscathed, why not? "

"Ton, let's go home. We'll just leave this matter to the authority. I have thought of other ways to find her. I'll let you know then. Aside from that, I will impose a great reward to anyone who could give a lead to where she is. "

Jim closed his eyes as the plane soared out into the sky. He was both physically and emotionally drained but he could not sleep. He was too guilty to take a few - minute- sleep while he did not know if Jia had been into discomforts or tortured.

His thoughts then went to his dad. He had another woman and that was something he would find out and use against him. Who was she and why did he hid her in the middle of Palawan's rainforest?

Finally, the aircraft which Jia and Mr. Rex boarded landed in a private farm in Busay, Cebu. The sun had already risen up above the beautiful hills. Somehow, she felt happy. She's finally home!

"Miss Jia, you cannot go home for the mean time. It would be dangerous. Your abductor is surely on a frantic search to get you back. Don't ever call your husband or anyone close to him. Not even your family members. They could do the same thing we did in tracing you

out. " Mr. Rex explained. Jia could tell that his intention was good.

"Mr. Rex, how did you trace me? "

Jia asked, praying silently that she would get an answer. She was dying to know who was behind him.

"Through wire tapping. My brother anticipated this event and so he ask me to do it. It is illegal to invade once privacy, you know. But I do not regret, or else you would be left alone with the wild beasts in the middle of the forest. "

Her eyes widened in disbelief. She could just not believed she was indeed rescued.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Rex. Who is your brother so I could thank him, as well?"

"I can't tell, Miss Jia. Consider this as an act of gratitude. Someday, you will find it out. " Mr. Rex said as he hugged her.

"I need to go. Arvin would accompany you." Mr. Rex's assistant smiled at her.

"By the way, do anything to disguise yourself, change your phone number and social media accounts. Use these falsified documents only if badly needed for your safety. Remember, these can also destroy you. " He said as he handed her those fake documents.

Mr. Rex then climbed again to the aircraft. He turned to look at her and waved his hand before he settled down. He then shouted to Arvin.

" Give her the mask right away." Arvin instantly did as instructed.

As soon as the aircraft was lifted up into the air, a car pulled up in front of them. Mr. Arvin took her luggages and placed them in the car's luggage compartment. Then, he opened the door and let her in while he slipped into the front seat afterwards.

Jia heaved out a deep sigh as the car drove down towards the familiar places of Cebu City. Then she wondered why Mr.Rex choose to land in that farm.

"Mr. Arvin, whose farm was that? " Jia referred to the farm where they landed.

"The company's. " He replied briefly. Could it be her rescuer's farm? She wanted to ask more but she understood that he was just being careful with his words.
