105 You Will Never Be Happy

The newly married couple's tour today was the most diversed tour because, aside from island and beach hopping, they were visiting caves and sandbanks. Among their destinations were the famous Entalula Island, Snake Island, Pinagbuyutan Island and the famous Cudugnon and Cathedral Caves.

As a nature lover herself, these travels with Jim would be one of her most unforgettable moments. She would not trade these trips for the city's biggest mall attractions, nor for a famous, international singer's concert, neither for offers of great sale fever.

Most of all, these were romantic travels with the man who loved her more than the lures of fame and wealth.

After being greatly awed by enchanting lagoons, lush forest greeneries, marble cliffs, crystal - clear waters and pristine beaches, they were then captivated by the peculiar features of the caves.

One of the caves they had gone to was the famous Cudugnon Cave.

It was known for its magnificent formations of crystal - like stalactites and stalagmites. The awesome cavernous and rocky formations of ceilings and walls brought about inexplicable wonders.

Somehow, those were somewhat eerie as those were inhabited by swallows and bats.

According to historic significance of the cave, it is an important anthropological site, where jewelry and pottery dating back to the Sung Dynasty (960-1279 BC) were found. The anthropologists believe that the cave dwellers were from Borneo, and travelled across the ancient land bridge that connected Palawan from Borneo.  Theories of Neolithic people and burial ceremonies with reference to the cave have been put forward. 

Jia clung tightly to Jim. She was always afraid of the dark and the possibilities of creeping creatures that might had lurked in rocky corners. Afraid that she might not be enjoying anymore, Jim decided to leave the place earlier than the alloted time.

They, then, proceeded to the island where they would stay for an overnight camping. After setting up the tent, they started grilling up their food. They wanted to be sitting idly together to watch the sunset until the dark would finally take over.

When darkness totally captured the place, they decided to stroll along the shore line. Unexpectedly, they bumped into a couple who were squatting on the sand.

"Dr. Grace?" Jim greeted her first.

"Dr.Jim, what a small world again." Dr. Grace smiled.

"Indeed." He then turned to Dr. Aijohn. "Hello, Doc John."

"Dr. and Miss Wayne, hello! Nice to see you again. It's really nice to spend a night here with the one you love." Dr. Aijohn sincerely greeted them.

"Yes, and the best way to unwind ." Jim replied. The two ladies just remained silent, listening to their men.

"Dr. Jim, how about you stay for a while for a chat? "Dr. Aijohn turned to Dr. Grace. It was his best chance to observe them.

"Sweetheart? " Jim turned also to Jia.

"Fine. "

So, Jim and Jia sat down on the mat opposite Drs.Aijohn and Grace.

Dr. Grace pulled out some bottled drinks on a cooler near them and handed it to them. She also opened up a big packs of mixed nuts and potato chips.

"Dr. Jim, how's the training? " Dr. Aijohn asked as he picked up bits of chips.

Soon, the conversation between the two men ignited and both the women got bored. Jia, was leaning on Jim's side on a fetal position while holding her phone. Dr. Grace remained munching her nuts, almost consuming the whole pack by herself. It was such a trouble to be caught in between two men, a man he loved and a man who tried to establish his love.

Being bored, Jia decided to reactivate her facebook account. Once opened, a notification popped up about Anthon's post. She hurriedly opened it and saw photos of him and Jian on a waterpark. Her son looked happy and excited and Anthon was either holding or looking at him lovingly.

Got carried away, she hurriedly commented.

"Mom missed you so much, my love! " And all of a sudden, tears were streaming down her face.

Got lost in her thoughts, she forgot that she was with a group. She missed her son so badly.

Dr. Aijohn noticed her and he nudged Jim on his side and gestured for him to look at Jia. Jim turned to her and wrapped an arm on her waist as he pulled her to him.

"Why? " With squinted eyes, he asked and wipe her tears at the same time.

"Jian." She then showed him the photos which Anthon posted.

"Why don't you call him? " He suggested.

Jia looked at him, asking non - verbally if he really wanted her to call him. He knew that it would be Anthon who would answer her first..

"Sweetheart, you really don't have to ask me or wait for me to tell you when to call." Jim assured her then turned back to Dr. Aijohn.

"It's about our son. It's her first time to get separated." Jim smiled to Dr. Aijohn as he explained.

Dr. Aijohn nodded and he stole a glance at Dr. Grace. He couln't read her reaction. She just kept on munching while looking up at them every now and then. She seemed to be listening and observing.

Looking back at Jia and Jim, he felt bad. He understood well, just being with them for few minutes, that Jim was, indeed, in love with Jia. And there were really no sparks nor awkwardness everytime he cast a glance at Dr. Grace.

It would really be cruel to break Jia and Jim's relationship. And it would even be much more cruel to their innocent son. He just couldn't understand Mr. Wayne's cruelty and the greed of Dr. Grace.

When Jia and Jim left, he held Dr.Grace's hand. "Gracie, how do you feel?"

Grace lifted her head and looked up to him. She was obviously confused.

"What do you mean? "

"I'm sorry for intruding into your private life but I know about your feelings to Dr. Jim. "

Dr. Grace did not reply. She looked down and flipped the wrapper of the mixed nuts.

"Do you still want him despite the fact that they are already married and with a son? "

Dr. Grace finally lifted up and answered him.

"I did not know about Jia from the start. I also did not know about their son. I just knew about it few months ago in Georgia."

"And when you knew about them, did you still want him? " Dr. Aijohn asked again.

"I couldn't turn back anymore. I already got obsessed. " She honestly answered.

"Gracie, think about this. You can do any means and be successful to have him physically by your side but you will never be happy. Because what he will be feeling then towards you will be pure hatred. And it will also be painful on your part to know that while he may be with you physically, in his heart, it will only be Jia."
