Under the stares of hundreds of murderous eyes, Han Jin's body suddenly sunk into the ground like a victim who had fallen into a swamp. The long sword shooting toward him passed his head and flew into the distance.

Ha... Han Jin sneered. It was the last gift he would leave for the knights, which made every single one of them feel a chill on their backs. They all knew that things were not over yet, and wouldn't be over.

"What spell is that?" A knight exclaimed.

"What the hell are you doing! Get up! Don't stand there like fools!" The middle-aged knight sprang to his feet and roared, "Catch him! Quickly!!"

"My Lord, shall we send someone to report to the general?"

"If you are tired of being alive, then go ahead!" the middle-aged knight said with his teeth gnashed, as he stumbled toward the 'hostage'. The knife had been stabbed deep into the eye of the 'hostage', resulting in a fatal wound. "No..." the middle-aged knight let out a mournful howl. Everything was ruined: his future, his family, everything!

Night winds swept across the gloomy mountain forest. The faint light of stars poured down, dressing the earth with a cold layer. Everything seemed to be informing the residents of this world that winter was approaching.

A cloud of withered and yellow wormwood swung feebly, as if it was unable to bear the desolation of late autumn. From the wormwood, a figure abruptly emerged. Or more accurately, he climbed up from underground.

Han Jin had always been a very gentle and refined young man, but now he was like an unsheathed blade. Though his face was still wearing a harmless smile, his eyes were extraordinary dark, reflecting a faint discernible cold light, like two jewels crafted in hell.

Han Jin looked around before leaping forward toward the main road which was full of ruts and hoof tracks. After a momentary observation, he ran northward.

While he was running, Han Jin rapid stroked a few times in midair. "Speed!" he said in a muffled voice.

His charging movement suddenly changed. Each time the tips of his toes lightly touched the ground, his body would shoot seven or eight meters forward like an arrow, and then slow down before his toes touched the ground again to give him another burst of speed.

Murderous intentions filled in his heart. Now that this world had unscrupulously tried to stand in his way, harm him, and even kill him, he didn't have any more reason to show mercy. A tooth for a tooth, and an eye for an eye! That would be his code of conduct from now on.

Han Jin was not an impulsive person. Whatever he was going to do, he would give it a second thought. The earth energy he had absorbed during the past month had been consumed in making four charms of Earthmeld, one of which he had used just now. These charms were his treasured tricks to escape during danger. He still had three chances to flee for his life. Thus, he was not afraid!

Han Jin's body leaped like a kite in rapid movement. Though each leap ended in a slower fall, his overall speed still nearly reached that of a freely galloping horse. The trade caravan carried lots of armor and weapons, thus, they must have left very deep ruts along the way. As a former private detective who excelled at tracking clues, Han Jin could find them even with his eyes closed.

Time was passing by. A winding black line popped into his eyes. He abruptly steadied his body and looked around. When he was sure there were no threats nearby, he dashed straight towards the direction of the rut.

The guards of the trade caravan didn't notice the looming danger at all and were still chatting and laughing in a low voice. Some were talking about their profits for this task, while some felt pity for their missed opportunity to 'enjoy' the two women.

Han Jin lay in the high grass, waiting for the trade caravan to pass. He knew who they were talking about: Keeley and Slyner. Their obscene and teasing tones made Han Jin even more determined to kill them.

The first wagon approached. Han Jin quietly took out a Wooden Army Calling Charm and was about to release it. However, he stopped all of a sudden and hid himself low to the ground when he felt a slight shaking of the ground. Were more knights coming?

Over twenty wagons passed in front of him in a single file. Han Jin tightened his sleeves, trouser ends, lappets, and darted out like a fish. He sneakily approached the last wagon, and dived for its bottom like a swimming fish. His body clung to the bottom shaft of the cart. The effect from the Art of Vertical Lift hadn't disappeared yet, thus his body was now light and agile. Attaching himself to the cart took no effort at all.

Soon, the hoofbeats became clearer and clearer. The caravan stopped at the roadside. Then came the voice of Leopold, "General Quincy, what brings you her?"

"Where is Mario? Hasn't he come with you?" a deep voice asked.

"No. He must be dealing with those mercenaries right now," Leopold laughed.

"What happened? Were there troubles?" The deep voice sounded very shocked.

"No, no troubles. They have only one fighter," Leopold replied with a wicked smile on his face. "And they have two women, haha... Lord Mario won't let them go easily."

"That bastard..." The deep voice paused for a moment. "But I am still worried."

"Don't worry, General. Lord Mario has hundreds of knights with him. I think they should be done by now."

"If anything happens to him, we will all be screwed. I'd better go check on him," the deep voice said. "It's safe here, so I will leave you alone. But you'd better pick up your speed. The Lord has urged me several times. The battle there is very fierce, and supplies are urgently needed! By the way, how many magic crystals have you brought this time?"

"Over three hundred pieces of sixth-grade magic crystals with the fire element, and fifty with the water element at the same grade."

"Why so few?"

"General, you have no idea. The supply of middle grade magic crystals in Isolated Cliff City has almost ran dry. I guess... merchants from Black Raven City and Depew City are also purchasing them in large amount. I tried my best but only got these."

"Humph!" That deep voice gave a cold humph. "Money is the key to a war. Zaganide, the Lord of Black Raven City, is a harsh and cruel man. Almost all the civilians in his territory have been slaughtered. Wish to compete with us in wealth? He's dreaming!"

"Yes, how can Zaganide compete with our wise lord..." Leopold kept sucking up. He didn't forget to flatter General Quincy either while lavishing praises on Lord Dismark.

"Well, you'd better go now," the deep voice interrupted Leopold impatiently. "Don't stop at night, and make sure you arrive at Holy Crown City before noon the day after tomorrow."

"Yes, General," Leopold laughed.

The caravan moved on, and the knights galloped away in the opposite direction. Han Jin let out a slight sigh. He had planned to launch a surprise attack on the caravan after they separated with the knights, but now he had changed his plan. The caravan marched at such low speed - how could Leopold be so sure that they would arrive in time? What if they were attacked? They must be hiding something.
