308 But She Was Also Pianis

After Amber received the call from Ashton, she received another call for the shareholders meeting.

She knew this would happen, that when she gave Harvey the shares, those shares. Those people who didn't want him to go up will do something hideous in order to suppress him.

Well that is if their shares were bigger than him.

But that is the case for someone else, just who is the pianist?

Who was it that the police force of Celestial country were getting help from when it comes to systems?

With enough movement she had long found the copy of shares she gave David Carter and had someone from Ashton's side to get it.

She then created a few tweaks here and there before returning it to where they got it. Of course, getting it and returning it was not possible if it was not someone trained in the underworld.

That night, both she and Ashton visited Harvey's place. The one who opened the door was Russel who looked like she was worrying.

"He was inside the study all these time, said he will be doing something," she informed.

"Hoho, look at our miss chef now. Worrying about him," Amber still took the chance to tease her.

"Amber," Russel said with a frown.

Amber just grinned, despite Russel still being mad at him. Of course there are still other feelings within her that started coming on the surface after staying with him for a good week now.

There are still people watching Russel closely and Harvey was diligent enough to pick her from and to work everyday.

"So within the past week how did you see him?" Amber asked and Russel just stared at her in disbelief.

"This is no time for such-"

"Come on, in order to know what state he currently was in. I want to know how he was doing for the past week. Then I will decide whether to walk out of the door..." she then pointed at the door they just entered.

"Or walk in that door," then she pointed at the door towards the study that Russel gestured a while ago.

Russel thought for a bit, "He seemed to be having a lot of a hard time in their company, especially the past few days. I would hear him grumble to himself that they don't understand at all."

To her surprise, Amber smiled widely, "I guess it is a good thing to be the villain after all. He is finally making a proper move."

Russel was baffled she haven't heard anything about this. How Amber sold him the shares or what they talked about on that day.

Then she remembered that time she saw Harvey after a long while in Amber's wedding and the fact that the two of them seems friends.

But the day, she was first picked up by Harvey un the restaurant, she felt that something was off between them.

"What happened?" she finally asked.

"Oh nothing, just became the devil of his so called protection to his Empire," Amber shrugged before she and Ashton walked towards the study.

It was not locked so going in was easy and when they did, they found him buried in a bunch of papers while muttering to himself.

He didn't even notice that they have approached him and took a look at the papers.

They were containing information about the major shareholder who would be present to the meeting tomorrow.

Most of what was there were names of their mistress or names of places they frequent to.

"Hoho, so you are planning on using their shady sides to make them shut up tomorrow. That is a good way of making sure to have a standing," she commented while Ashton could only shake his head.

She was enjoying her current role of being the villain.

"This is the only way I could think of, I am a minor shareholder and my family plans to use the major shareholders to suppress me. Since I couldn't sell to them the shares that I hold then what they can only do is to make me do what they want."

He then chuckled bitterly, "Something I haven't been doing for the past few days. Opposing what they wanted and proposing my own ideas."

"Hmmm, so the coward is starting to have some guts."

This snapped Harvey from his own thoughts and looked up only to be shock that the two of them were there.

"What are you doing here?" he couldn't help but ask as he snatched away the paper that Amber was holding.

Amber just raised an eyebrow.

"Thought you might need some help," it was Ashton who answered since his wife was enjoying her current role.

"It's fine, I can do it. I have more information already," Harvey shook his head before sitting back down.

"Yeah, right small amount of information taken by a coward," Amber butted in.

"Just shut up. Why do you have to here anyway?" Harvey snapped back.

"It is because I was the one who sold the shares to you, I just want to know what is going on with you," she said as her eyes were filled with mock.

Harvey squinted his eyes, "I wouldn't be in this situation if you hadn't sold those shares wo me even applying such condition. You should have just sold it to the Empire."

"Tsk tsk tsk, are we still back to square one? I though you and Ash already talk but I guess you are still a coward through and through," Amber answered back with a shake of her head.

She even looked very disappointed towards him right now.

Harvey looked away from her and returned his focus on the papers. He had lived his life doing this, being a shadow in helping the Empire. A sudden change couldn't be easily done just because he wanted to do so.

"It's no longer square one, isn't that why I am facing all these papers now?" still he couldn't help but to defend himself.

Just as Amber was about to open her mouth, Ashton stopped her, "Just help him out already."

Harvey furrowed his brows and looked up.

In turn, the vicious one a while ago disappeared and Amber was pouting at Ashton, "It was just getting fun."

"Thalie."

And when Ashton called her this with others around them, it means he was already serious.

Though Amber understood what it meant, if she goes on Harvey might end up losing more of his will and might end up having some mental strain.

"What are you two talking about?" Harvey felt even more confused.

Amber sighed and picked up a paper containing names and places. Then she brought out her laptop before sitting on the chair opposite Harvey.

"Ash?" Harvey looked at Ashton and asked.

"You have known most of her identities but there is one more identity that you didn't," Ashton answered.

Harvey's attention went to Amber whose typing started and he was drawn by the sound of it.

Even her hands moved like they were playing a piano and he finally understood just who it was that he was facing.

She was not just Amber Wood.

Not just Nathalie Price.

Not just a business owner.

Not just a major shareholder.

But she was also Pianist.

One of the top, someone even their Empire tried to take in. Someone whose identity, others still have no idea who.

Yet here she was right in front of him, working her magic as if she was playing a piano. Her fingers danced around the keyboard and the sound was both relaxing and mesmerizing.

"She-"

He looked at Ashton while pointing at Amber who was now busy in her work.

Ashton nodded at him, "Well, your work allowed her to have a lesser thing to do. With the names already there, she would surely be able to find their secrets easily. With enough evidence."

"Come to think of it, she didn't tell me about those who tried to cooperate with the Cage within the major shareholders," Harvey remembered.

"I think once she is done, those are already included."

Harvey no longer knows what to feel towards Amber, he was still mad that she had included their Empire in her revenge. But then again, it was not only their Empire. Even the Wright was included.

"If she were taken care of properly by the Price Empire, then that Empire would surely have become the top that the others wouldn't be able to reach," he commented.

"No, I think that is not necessarily the case. She became like that because the Empire didn't take care of her properly. Her full potential was brought out because of it."

Harvey looked at the working lady in front of him before nodding in agreement, it was right. Her talents would remain dormant if she were only to focus on what their Empire could do.

Just then Russel came in and was struck dumb by what she was seeing.

"What is going on?" she asked, it is a good thing that she didn't drop the tray she was holding.
