349 Try Something Funny

"What do you mean she appeared?" Clark asked when Thompson told him what happened early that day.

He may not have talked with her and all but he still saw her, he knew it was impossible for it to be his imagination for other people were staring at her.

"She was just watching me while I am doing my inspection," Thompson replied.

Clark threw his glass on the wall, "She's playing with us, she obviously is playing with us."

Even though a month have passed since the year end event, he still has no clue regarding her where abouts. He has no desire on asking the Wright Empire for the video of that day.

He can't let them know that someone is actually threatening the Price Empire and that someone is someone who should have died many years ago.

In the outside world, the family of three died when Nathalie was just six years old.

Thompson didn't say anything and just stood there in silent. He wouldn't have said anything if Clark didn't task any of them to report to him even if they just got a glimpse of Nathalie.

"Have you checked the security cameras of the mall?" Clark asked.

"We have and after appearing she left for the elevator but disappeared in the parking lot," he answered.

"What do you mean disappeared?"

"The security team said that the cameras on the parking lot were tampered with, someone hacked through it and made it so that her entry and exit wouldn't be seen."

He was not stupid as to not check the video footage and those in the security office were amazed to the person who hacked through their system.

For so long, no matter how many, none have succeeded in hacking through it.

But Thompson has no desire to say anything about it to Clark for it would seem like they were praising Nathalie instead of doing their job properly.

"Is it her then?" Clark asked with furrowed brows.

"That is something we don't know. It could be her or it could be someone on her side," Thompson replied honestly.

Clark gritted his teeth in anger but he has no where to vent it on.

Nathalie was just appearing, but for her to appear so close to the year end event means that her return is nearing.

If the whole world finds out about it, it would cause a lot of trouble for them. They after all declared that her family died in a car accident.

"Tell everyone to tighten the security around the mall and the hospital, immediately make chase once she is sppotted," he commanded.

Xander was in deep thought as he followed Harry and the others around the hospital.

Amber gave him a call last night.

(Flashback)

"Have you been on the underground facility of the hospital?" she asked after their greetings.

"No, it was off limits for me. But Harry and Glenn were allowed down there, sometimes even grandfather would go down and some of their trusted doctors," he replied with wonder.

"Hmmm."

He waited after hearing her reply, her not saying a thing means she is in deep thought.

After another few minutes, she finally speak up.

"I think even that Van person, Madison's father were going in and out of that place."

Xander furrowed his brows, "He was a renowned scientist, for him o enter our underground facility means that something important is down there."

"That's the conclusion I also came up with and since it is off limits to you. It only means that something of importance for the future of Price Empire is down there."

Xander thought for a bit before replying, "Do you wnat me to check it out?"

"No, it would be too dangerous if your try to find out when Nathalie had been appearing already. They might become doubtful of your actions and whether you knew about Nathalie or not. Especially since it was me who saved you from the kidnapping."

"Then what do you want me to do?"

"Just stay alert when you are in the hospital at teh same time always stay safe," she answered with worry in her voice.

"Don't worry, I am doing my best to act the same towards them while also trying to be useful to them," he answered with a laugh and if she were there, he would have patted her head.

'I can't pry towards what was going on in the underground but that doesn't mean I cannot scare them even more,' Xander thought.

He knew just which part of the hospital has those blindspots for the CCTV cameras.

He acted to look at one side before briefly stopping getting the attention of the others.

He also had a bit of a confused look.

"What is it?" Harry asked looking at where he was looking but nothing was there.

"Well... I just thought I saw someone who resembles my mother for a bit. Though I guess that would be impossible since that person was younger," he replied with a tilt of his head.

His actions and look made Harry nervous instantly, even Glenn became on guard and started looking around.

'I guess I am not that bad at acting,' Xander thought when he noticed these things.

"Why would you suddenly think that way. A lot of people could resemble each other despite having no connection," Harry then said.

"I guess, I just thought it was weird for she was smiling at me but it was a different smile than the other women I met. It was as if she was saying long time no see."

Xander furrowed his brows, "Don't you think that is weird uncle?"

The way he acts made other think that it was real.

"You may have just imagined it, why don't we continue with our rounds?" Harry replied with a nervous chuckle.

Xander nodded but gave the place he looked at a while ago another look as if he truly was puzzled.

Glenn had been watching him after all, if he were to just leave just like that then his act wouldn't be as acceptable as him being puzzled. But giving one last glance to that place will make it even more realistic.

'I should probably tell those two how I was able to deceive them with my acting,' he thought proudly.

At the same time, he made sure that he was puzzled all day long for it was the first time something like this happened to him, thought he didn't go over board as well.

*CRASH*

Another poor glass was broken, it was only two day ago when the last one broke but now another said goodbye to this world.

"That b***h, if I caught her I would surely strangle her. It was not enough for her to appear before us, she even appeared before her brother?!?" Clark roared.

Harry reported to him what happened in the hospital and this made him angrier than he already is.

"The place where Xander saw her was a blindspot of the CCTV camera, that she was not caught in it at all. And a lot of people are walkinga round so we couldn't decipher just where she went," Harry added.

"She had made sure of this, this is part of her plan. She made us play right in her palm," Clark slam his fist on the table.

"We made sure that people are watching Xander all day in order for her not to approach him," Glenn then said.

As the three of them are being agitated by this, Xander who saw a ghost was laughing hard as he speak with Amber in the phone.

"You truly, what if they find out that I was actually not there?" Amber replied with a shake of her head.

"Don't worry, I had been in the hospital for so long. I know just where are the blindspots for the cameras," Xander replied with confidence.

He's currently in his room, inside his walk in closet in order to make sure that no one would hear him. He also made sure that his windows and door are locked.

At the same time he used the device that Brian gave in order to see if there are devices in his room.

He found some and that made him laugh, he used another device that will disrupt its signal making sure that they wouldn't hear him, all they would here are the water from the bathroom.

Since all of them are worried about him, they gave him a lot of things to make sure he was not caught, that he already knew something and he was just there to be a spy.

"Fine, fine, seeing how happy you are. I guess you really did a great job in acting," Amber finally complimented him.

Xander grinned upon hearing this.

"That's right, I'll be leaving for Ceres country in two days. Samantha is close to giving birth," Xander informed her.

"How about them?" she asked.

"They would surely send a few guards for me but it is fine. It is better to openly show Samantha than to hide her. Plus you and Ash left some guards for her that is much better than the ones they will send for me."

It may seem dangerous but if they try something funny then Xander could use this as a leverage to make them follow his requests instead.

"Very well, I will give them another scare once the baby is born. In order to protect your family. That's why you should protect the mother and child," Amber said.

"I have no plans in letting them kill any more," Xander replied.
