337 A Relationship With Me?
The lecture lasted for a good three hours and for the first time in so long, no one found it boring and even enjoyed and thought that they have learned a lot.
Even the guys who had some prejudice because of his young age couldn't help but feel honored that they actually learned so much from him.
Ashley who can hear all of their words couldn't help but to smile with pride, he was her teacher after all. To hear people complimenting him, she couldn't help but to feel prooud about it.
"Do you think we'll get the chance to ask him questions?" she suddenly heard some ask this question before she looked back at the stage.
'That's right, will he stay? He knew it was me a while ago despite the disguise. Will I meet him?' she couldn't help but to lament.
It has been a good few months and she couldn't help but to feel sad knowing that she may not meet him right now.
"What's wrong? Have you fallen for him?" Kara noticing her longing look teased.
"Stop that," Ashley rebuked but she didn't deny anything.
She truly love him after all so why should she deny the fact that she had fallen for him.
"Though I suggest that you should give up," suddenly Kara became serious as she looked at her.
Ashley blinked a few times upon hearing what she had just said.
"Why is that?" she voiced out her thought.
"There was a rumor going around that he was in a relationship with the young miss of the Wright Empire. You know their status, even us on the middle ranks stand no chance against her," Kara patted her shoulder as she said this.
'A relationship with me? Why haven't I heard of it?' she ask in her mind as she stared blankly at Kara.
"It was only a rumor but it spread from Achernar country, that the Prince of Refinement appeared just to save her from some people who wanted to use her for their own good," Kara continued.
This made Ashley remember what happened on that club back then. He indeed appeared to get her out of that place but she didn't thought much of it back then.
Who would have thought that a rumor actually appeared because of that.
"That is why, a lot have given up on trying to get to close to him plus have you seen his aura, he may speak like a lecturer but his aura tells the people around him not to get close to him," Kara kept going thinking that Ashley may really have fallen in love and wanting her not to get hurt.
Ashley seeing her serious look, laughed while waving her hand indicating that she shouldn't worry.
Seeing this Kara heaved a sigh of relief.
"Wright Empire had always been low profile and so barely anyone could really see the look of the young miss. There are pictues before but they said she rarely have friends."
Ashley who was drinking her coffee, choked upon hearing her say that she rarely have friends.
Kara helped her by patting her back before continuing, "Though there's word going around that she left home to look for herself. I wonder why would she do that when she has so much around her?"
Ashley pursed her lips before looking at the amount of people ahead of them.
Because of the fact that they came early they could only wait for the people at the back to get back their things before they could come out.
All cellphones and cameras were taken after all.
"Maybe being in an Empire doesn't mean you could do everything you want. You know, responsibilities," she answered in avoice that Kara never heard of before.
She looked at Ashley and couldn't help but to feel that she truly understood what was going on in the mind of the young miss of the Wright Empire.
"Well, I guess we have our own things to deal with no matter what status we have in this world. Just that it brings jealousy to others that she is together with the Prince of Refinement," Kara replied not prying.
Ashley could only laugh dryly, 'That's what I'm saying, why didn't I know that I am with him?'
Another ten minutes before they finally got their phones back and was now walking to the main gate of the school.
Ashley opened her phone only to see that she received no message from him.
She couldn't help but sigh as she looked back at the school, 'Was he too busy that he couldn't even send a message that he was actually here?'
"Aileen," a woman was waving her hand towards them as they came close to the gate.
When she looked towards it, it was actually her guardian also known as her elder sister.
"Sis," she waved back before looking at Kara.
"I shall go now, see you tomorrow."
"Bye, see you tomorrow," Kara replied as she watched Ashley walk to the car and entering it.
She had been wondering though, they were sisters but there are times where Ashley would sit at the back of the car just like today.
"She doesn't seem like someone from the lower class but Spencer family was not renowned as well. So who could her backer be, I wonder?" she muttered before shrugging and walking away.
Spencer was the family name Ashley is currenly using together with the name Aileen.
"Wha- You- Why are you here?!?!?"
Ashley who had waved her goodbye is now staring wide eyed at the person beside her.
When she went in a while ago, she was still looking at her phone before realizing that someone else was there. And to her surprise it was the same person she wanted to berate through message.
Jackson shrugged before extending his hand, she looked at it before understanding what he wants.
She puffed her cheeks and took out the notebook she had used a while ago to write about his lecture.
'I tell you, you can't entirely trust his aloof demeanor. He is one hell of a teacher, if I missed a bit of his lecture a while ago. He would surely reprimand me again,' she thought as she watched him flip through her notes.
"I have seen your grades," Jackson said as he continued flipping through her notes.
"Oh."
She was just here for a semester that is why she didn't know how to react with what he had just said.
"They are good for someone starting their school," Jackson continued and his eyes flashed upon seeing that her notes were complete and precise.
"That is because what I had were minors, the majors would be difficult after that," she replied when he handed her her notebook.
What they are currently preparing for is the finals of the first semester and her grades that he was talking about were preliminary and midterm.
"That's why I tasked you to take down notes, one eight of the final exams will be about what I just lectured," he then said nonchalantly as he started rammaging through his bag.
Ashley looked at him in shock, "One-eight? Isn't that a bit too much for one lecture?"
He just shrugged, "I had been rejecting their invitation all this time and accepted only now. Since it was the first time, they feel so honored that they decided to do it that way. I didn't reject as well."
After saying this, he threw another two notebook at her. It was the same as the first time that he made. It was filled with what she needs to learn and what books she can read them from.
Her eyes shined upon seeing this, she was just lamenting that she was about to finish her assignment from him and now she actually received more.
This would be a weird one if others would hear her but Jackson always stayed away from the limelight and so anyone can barely interact with him.
Adding with the fact that he barely replies to her as well, most were just one word replies. So having a bit of connection to him was already good enough for her.
Jackson who saw her eyes shine as she flip through what he made had his lip turn up into a slight smile.
"By the way, why did you suddenly came for the lecture?" Ashley remembered and looked up to ask him.
With one brow raised he just stared at her.
Isn't it obvious that it was because she was studying there that he wanted to check on her sicne he was already in town?
But of course he didn't say it and just left her hanging.
"That's right, did you visit Amber? She was injured they said but was now fine, I still couldn't go home so I could only hear some news."
She thought that him making a lecture was due to a whim that is why she decided to leave it at that.
"I have, we came here precisely because of that but by the time we arrived she was already energetic enough," was his answer.
Ashley nodded her head before keeping quiet, she had so many things she thought she could talk with him about but now that he is here, she actually didn't have anything to say.
"When will you be returning then?" she asked instead.
"Tomorrow morning."
She looked at him before pursing her lips.
"Do you have ingredients in your place?" Jackson feeling her mood plummeting asked.
"We always have," was her reply before her head snapped back at him.
"Are you cooking?"
Her eyes were wide and they were shinning brightly, together with her wide smile. Jackson could only nod his head.
Seeing him nod, Ashley's mood rose up to the sky. It has been so long since he first cooked for her.
Seeing her smiling happily, Jackson couldn't help but smile as well. This time it was no longer a slight one, before he returned his eyes to the outside.
Even the guys who had some prejudice because of his young age couldn't help but feel honored that they actually learned so much from him.
