335 Because I Am Bored

The chief of the main police force of Celestial country, Caesar Griffin.

The master of Cooper Empire, Luis Cooper.

The master of Carter Empire, David Carter.

The master of Hughes Empire, Isaac Hughes.

The master of Wright Empire, Gideon Wright.

The master of Price Empire, Clark Price.

And the head of Blue Cliff gang, Michael Banfield.

Are all sitting in one room and the atmosphere was pretty heavy.

The people outside of the conference room of the main police office were at the edge as they tried their best not to make any sound that might end up disturbing the people inside.

It has been so long since all these people were together in one place for a business matter.

The year end events they would run unto each other but that was a ball or an event that wouldn't need the air to be as serious as this one.

And of course, the meeting that they were all thinking was the one held back when the agreement was made between the two biggest gangs and the five Empires.

Currently, Caesar was the one representing the government.

He sighed, "I think all masters understood the reason why this meeting is being held."

"It is about the extermination of Black Spade gang."

It was Michael who replied, he was sitting in a nonchalant position where he looks like he was at home. The other masters felt uncomfortable about it but didn't protest for even back then he was already like this.

Caesar didn't mind his demeanor and nodded his head, "As you are all aware, Blue Cliff gang lead the attack and extermination of Black Spade gang. This issue had been raised a few times as we are trying to collect evidences."

He didn't say who raised the issue but most of it was the Price Empire. The other Empires raised once or twice because of the agreement but in the end the one who raised it the most was still Clark Price.

"And what is going on now then? I don't understand why you have attacked them. What about the agreement?" Luis raised his concern and looked at Michael.

Michael smiled at him in a lazy manner, "Because I am bored."

Hiss-

Everyone's face darkened upon hearing his answer. Was this some kind of a joke to him? The agreement speaks about the two of them being the lords of the underworld, one attacking the other would give the government the right to take that gang down.

But the way he acts and the fact that they were not yet being seized means that there is still something about the attack.

"Nonsense!!"

Of course, the one who was enraged the most was Clark Price.

Caesar who was observing raised an eyebrow from his reaction and remembered what the Pianist had informed them. That a collusion might have already occurred between an Empire and a power house in the underworld.

It is not that they can't entirely go and have some dealing with the underworld. The agreement only speaks about the two great power, Black Spade gang and Blue Cliff gang.

The agreement also includes the fact that these two powers must not collide at any cost.

"Is it now?" Michael looked at Clark Price.

Clark furrowed his brows upon seeing the way he looks at him.

In the past, this person merely looked at them lazily or looked at them with mirth. But right now, he was actually looking at him with disgust and hatred as if wanting to kill him right at this moment.

Well, he was not far off. Michael Banfield was Justin Scott after all. After hearing from his sister's children of what had happened, who wouldn't want to kill and torture the ones responsible?

But he couldn't reveal this part and could only look at him in disgust but he had asked Amber's permission to allow him to reveal that she was Michael Banfield's niece.

'Seriously both uncle and niece are quite alike, having too many identities making others confused,' he couldn't help but think.

"You have not followed the agreement, what do you mean you are just bored?" Clark cleared his throat and said.

The others may have been angered by his attitude but they were not as over reacting as he was so this reaction of his made some of them raise an eyebrow.

He could only tone down and argue about the agreement.

Michael leaned back with a lazy smile on his face, "I am quite a vengeful person you know. Dare touch one of my people, then I will never let you go."

Caesar looked at him and thought back to the attitude of the Pianist.

He then thought back to the time that the Pianist reappeared after a long time of disappearing.

They looked into it, what Mario Barbers did and who appeared beside Ashton Wright during this time.

That is why they knew that Amber Wood was somehow connected to the Pianist.

Even during this time of his reappearance, he had stepped in and when they investigated. Black Spade gang had actually abducted Amber Wood.

'Just who is Amber Wood?' was Caesar's thought as he waited for what Michael had to say.

"What do you mean by your a vengeful person?" still Clark asked.

"How dare he touch my niece? Of course I won't hold back and fight. My niece is our family's treasure after all," Michael replied with a glint in his eyes.

Clark's brows twitched upon hearing this.

During that time, it was only Amber Wood who the Black Spade abducted.

Then does that mean that she was his niece?

"Are you telling us that miss Amber Wood is your niece?"

In the end, it was Gideon Wright who asked the question despite knowing the truth.

They wanted to act that what happened allowed them all to know a family secret.

Michael looked at him and smiled, "I heard that she was under your care and met along the way your grandson who went and saved her."

By bringing this up, they would be able to cover the fact that Ashton had been going around in the underworld.

Not until he officially step out would they reveal the fact that he had been wondering around the underworld.

The Empires couldn't have that big power in the underworld and so while it was not yet ready, they couldn't let these old coots to know that he had been playing around over there.

"She... She's my granddaughter-in-law," Gideon replied.

Everyone understood that because Amber was Ashton's fiance that Gideon calls her his granddaughter-in-law.

"Ah, I see. I guess my long lost niece have found a great match. I was hoping that she wouldn't get tangled up with some people."

After saying this, he glanced at Clark Price.

They wouldn't be the masters if they don't understand what he menat by that look.

He didn't want her to be close to the Price Empire especially so with Glenn Price.

Clark squinted his eyes at him while Michael returned it with a smile.

Caesar seeing as they are already going off track, cleared his throat.

"We have investigated what happened and found out that they have been doing a lot of underhanded methods that the government could no longer turn a blind eye to."

All attention returned to him as he started speaking.

He then sighed, "That is why, the government is actually relieved to their eradication but that doesn't mean we aren't having some head aches over this."

Clark's hand clenched into a fist as he listened to this.

To the others the eradication was nothing but to him it was a big loss.

"Then what do you plan about the balance?" Isaac speak up after hearing this.

They were not clueless to this as well, they knew how rampant the Black Spade gang had been acting that even their people are beinhg implicated.

"That is something that mister Michael Banfield had to resolve. If not you do understand that the underworld is too big for only one to take care off. And the government can't standstill and watch you amass all these power for yourself."

Michael understood what this man was talking about as he could only smile, "Don't worry I am not taking everything on my own. Instead someone else will rise in power and become the second lord of the underworld."

They all looked at him with the same meaning in there eyes, Who?

He just smiled, "Let's just say he is just like me. Laying low most of the time while taking charge when the need arises. I just hope none of you would try and provoke the underworld again."

He stood up as he said this, "I am quite fond of that person and so I can aid him in taking down who ever dares. Plus, most of the little gangs have already pledged their loyalty to him."

After saying this he left the place, he was from the dark side of the world after all. Staying in a place such as the police, he can't stand it.

"What do you plan about this?" Luis asked.

"Since the underworld is still undergoing changes we are planning on summoning that person after a few days or so. We need to know what he wants and how he works and to make sure he complies this time."

After he said this he glanced at Clark Price while bidding the masters goodbye.

The meeting was only to show that they are not taking it lightly and since it was done, he no longer needs to mingle with all these people.

Empires are almost the same in authority as the government that is why he was not fond of interacting with them.

"I wonder who would it be?" David couldn't help but to voice out.

The others nodded before they started leaving the place.

Only Clark has had a dark look because of the outcome of the meeting.

If not for Glenn colluding with that woman in taking Amber Wood then Michael Banfield wouldn't step out of who knows where he was just to eradicate the Black Spade gang.

One of their biggest backer are now gone, joined with the fact that they lost two big deals to Ashton Wright, his anger could no longer be contained.
