328 Was He Even A Person?

"I thought you wouldn't call me anymore."

It has been five days since Amber's kidnapping and now she was in her wheelchair, she still need time to heal her wound before she starts her rehabilitation.

"I have a present for you, can you come out?" Amber replied with a smile.

"What do you mean out? For how long?"

"Maybe half a day?"

Madison thought for a bit, aside from going with Glenn on official businesses. Most of the time she was left at home doing things on her own.

This is better than him venting his frustration on her.

He would come home with flowers and all. Which she happily accepts despite feeling nauseous at how disgusted she was with him.

She knows that a lot of times he was with different women, venting out what he wants to vent out, but she needs to keep acting. Keep acting that she was still the Madison they broke.

"Is it important?" she asked.

Despite having a bit of freedom, she didn't want them to think that she was doing something else while still staying in the mansion.

"It is important for you, not for me. Trust me at the same time, you do understand you have to come alone."

Madison thought for a bit before agreeing.

Amber gave her the restaurant but Madison knew that it was just a cover and they might leave that place.

"Are you sure, you will go alone?" Ashton asked after seeing that Amber ended the call.

"I'll be fine, I know you already placed guards around me," she replied as he helped her to her wheel chair and pushed it to the back of the restaurant where she will meet Madison.

The place they are about to go to is near the restaurant located near a mountain where the entrance is a forest.

The reason why the restaurant was famous, is because of its location where the forest was nearby and the air was fresh.

No one knows that this place is actually the real hideout of the Blue Cliff gang. They were always going in different groups, the reason why even the police has no idea of this place.

Blue Cliff was a silent one, barely moving as a whole. This was the first in a long while, by taking down the Black Spade gang.

"Though I didn't expect that they were actually just like the Black Spade gang, having a mountain as their main base," she commented as she looked up at the mountain.

It is not exactly the whole mountain but a part of it that was facing the restaurant.

"I think they just got this about two years ago. It is said that it took them five years to buy it with the condition that they should preserve it," Ashton replied.

"Wow, the government actually allowed it to become a private property? And five years? I guess they had quite some difficulties."

As they look up the mountain for a few more minutes, the back door opened and Madison was lead outside.

She was stunned to see them and Amber could see the emotion in her eyes upon seeing Ashton in person.

She was able to hide it by not looking at him during the bidding but this time that they are the ones meeting, her eyes would naturally land on him.

"Hi."

Amber then said touching Ashton's hand.

Madison nodded at her didn't expect that such a greeting would come from Amber.

"I'll get going then, give me a call once you are done," Ashton placed his hand on top of her head and said.

"Go and win that land," was her reply.

The reason why Madison was left alone was because Glenn went out to the bidding of a land near the coasts of Celestial country. The land was not too big that she didn't need to appear with him.

Ashton smiled at Amber before walking away, not even glancing at Madison.

After he left, Madison took a deep breath before looking at Amber, "What is it?"

Amber smiled and looked at the man who lead Madison here.

"We will be blindfolded in order to go there. Don't think too much, I assure you that I am not here to do anything bad to you," she then said to Madison.

Though skeptical Madison nodded, she haven't done anything that warrants Amber to do something to her.

Both of them were blindfolded and was guided into another car. Amber didn't need one but it is better to do it for Madison not to be scared.

She was not that villainous to scare Madison when she brought her here for a gift.

After riding the car, they were tasked to drove a bit but in reality it was just around the main roads near that place. They were after all in the same place already.

This is to throw Madison off.

And the reason why they chose the restaurant was because it was already part of the Blue Cliff, they can easily have the access to the passages to the back door.

The car moved and entered a parking lot near the mountain and they waited for the door to close before getting Amber and Madison out of the car.

"Can I bother you in pushing my wheel chair?" Amber then apologetically said to Madison after their blindfolds were removed.

Madison was stunned at first before she shook her head and went behind Amber.

As they were being guided to where Carla was being imprisoned.

"I tried to reinvestigate the thing that happened to you in the past," Amber opened her mouth.

Madison looked down at her, she couldn't believe that Amber would reinvestigate it.

"Since I promised you that you will be able to get back at those people. I want to know everyone that was involve in it," Amber continued.

"And found out that someone was truly behind the fact that the guards left to you were not in there position at that exact time that you were kidnapped."

They stopped in front of a room.

The one who lead them there bowed at Amber before leaving the two of them behind.

Amber looked up at her, "Shall we enter and see the accomplice of that man?"

Madison's grip on her wheel chair tightened, "I..."

Amber returned her look to the door, "I will leave her to you. She was also the reason why I am in my current condition but I'll leave everything to you."

Then she reached out and opened the door.

The room has no bed but only a chair in the middle and in it sat Carla who looks like she haven't rested at all.

Her hair was in disarray while the clothes were obviously dirty. Gone is her angelic face.

When she heard the door opened she looked up, her eyes were then filled with both disbelief for seeing Madison and Amber together. And hatred for the two of them.

"You-"

Madison's hands went to her mouth upon seeing Carla.

"Let me also add one thing, she currently has an affair with your husband. More like physical affair, allowing her to get the help of Glenn and some other people," Amber then said.

Carla started laughing, "So you were betraying him all along. I thought you had loved him, what is this about?"

She looked like a crazy person, the five days of staying here must have left her into such state.

Madison's eyes turned sharp, "At least I am better than you who sells her body just so she could do such underhanded things."

Seeing her look, Carla furrowed her brows. She can see a lot of changes than when she saw her during the year end event and during their wedding.

"You..."

"I never thought that someone Ashton trusted back then would be the reason for his pain at such a young age," Madison replied with a cold voice.

Carla's eyes grew wide upon hearing her words.

"Your memories."

"Yes, it had returned. Do you think I would still love that person? No, was he even a person?" Madison answered.

"I shall leave you two for now then," Amber seeing that she has nothing to do here speak up.

Madison nodded.

"I trust you won't leave her unscathed," she then added.

"I wonder if anyone would recognize her when I am done with her," was Madison's reply.

Amber smiled before leaving the room and closing the door behind her.

She glanced at it one more time, 'I wonder if everything is settled, would we have a different relationship?'

After that thought she wheeled herself into another room, this is the reason why she came along in the first place.

She already had plans of leaving Carla to Madison.

She came here because Ashton told her that Michael Banfield wanted to speak with her.

'I wonder what he wants? Is the police pressuring them? Am I here as the Pianist?'

"I see, that you have come."

She was in deep thought when the door opened and Michael Banfield came into her view.
