327 Let Me Tell You A Story Dear
When Amber opened her eyes again, she could hear commotion from the outside and when she looked to the side, Ashton was standing by the door and she can feel that he was irritated.
"Ash," she called.
He looked back and could only sigh.
As he entered, other people came in as well.
"Why are you all here?"
She was flabbergasted upon seeing all of them, meaning all of the gang except for Haley and Samantha. Meaning even the young master's of the other Empires.
Even Russel was there, the greatest shock Amber received.
"Russel!!"
She almost sat up but Ashton had stopped her from doing so, she would have agitated her wounds by then.
"I just got out from the hospital after being kidnapped, yet here you are following my footstep," Russel had her hands on her waist as she berated Amber.
Though she must admit the presence of so many people in front of her as overwhelming. She never expected that this person would have so much connection.
Amber's eyes went to Harvey then at Ashton. Among all those who are here, it was only Russel who still didn't know about her. She had planned to let it remain that way at least until everything was settled. But if she was here now...
"I am worried about you. When I heard that upon your arrival you were kidnapped, I wanted to check on you. I know you still have so many things you are hiding from me but I am still your friend," Russel noticed her look and said.
"I really can't compare," Amber replied in a defeated manner.
"How do you feel now?" Russel asked.
"Doing great," was her reply before looking at Alissa.
"I see that you have cried too much again."
Alissa silently approached her and held her hand, "I was so worried."
"I'm sorry," she smiled in return.
She looked at the others and grinned, maybe because Russel came with them or the fact that there are still servants around here, she was wearing a mask.
"I see that I made quite a lot of young masters worry."
Different coughs was heard as they look away, some of them even had a blush upon realizing the looks of worry they gave her.
"Amber."
This time it was Leslie who approached her.
"You became even more beautiful," Amber then said at her.
"I guess you really are fine now," Leslie said helplessly.
"And I guess I really am honored to receive the visit of miss Gee Anne Pines and Mathew Carter," she then looked at the other two.
"Enough with that, why wouldn't we visit our friend? Plus you are my cousin-in-law," Gee Anne answered.
Amber smiled at her genuinely, "Thank you."
She watched as the group started chatting with one another and couldn't help but to be moved.
"You have changed so many people's lives," seeing her look, Ashton speak up as he sat down beside her.
"Have I?"
"Hmmm."
If this was the past, his group of friends would still be trying their best to get the approval from their respective Empires on their own. They wouldn't even have this time where they would just up and come together.
He looked down at her and smiled. If she hadn't appeared then most of them would still have not known what they can still do, for themselves and for their Empire.
"That's right, your grandfather called. He was unable to leave and is unable to come but he was bawling his eyes when he heard that you were kidnapped," Ashton said upon remembering what happened early morning.
"Oh I should probably call for him then, my grandfather, that is."
As she spoke of this words, her voice became gentler and gentler.
Then her eyes once again looked back at those people, "Was it 8 years ago? Or even before that when what we all do was to runaway?"
"Hmmm?" Ashton caressed her hair as he asked.
"The me from back then would never imagine that I would end up in this situation. Not the kidnapping but the fact that I am surrounded by all these people despite the danger that surrounds me."
"I never would have thought that I would have my brothers beside me, that I would have my blood related grandfather with me. Friends that trust me, in-laws that loves me like a blood related one and ..."
She then looked up at him with a smile, "And you."
"Ughh..."
"Please get me out of here."
"Why am I here anyway?"
"Get a room."
Different reactions was heard from the others who was already listening to her little speech. And Amber giggled at their reactions.
The ladies were all smiling at her, they felt happiness for her. Especially so for those who knew her history.
Their day was filled with happiness and chatting, of course Amber was left to rest after another hour or so.
After that the others got to know one another, especially so for the ladies who barely met and only met once or twice.
"I will never would have thought that she would be acquainted to such vast of people," Russel exclaimed after knowing the people around her.
The ladies smiled at her, "We were lucky that she actually found us and not the other way around. We improved so much on things we wanted because of her."
"I think that goes the same for me she had saved me and helped me improve in so many ways," Russel answered.
"Her parents would surely be happy to see all of you worrying about her."
They all looked to the side, currently the living room seemed like a party was going on because of their number.
"Mother," Ashton called.
"It is fine, those whom she found. I'm very sure wouldn't harm her in any way," she smiled at him.
Then looked at Russel who was looking at her, "I think Amber would love for her to know."
"But she..."
"Ash, you do understand right? I think you of all people knew what was going in her mind. That she was just scared of the fact that she couldn't protect her. But all of you are here, such wonderful children."
Ashton remained silent, this was indeed something that Amber was pondering over. Of all the people present, the only one in the dark was Russel.
He no longer said anything and just sighed.
Russel was confused.
"Let me tell you a story dear," Liana then said in a gentle manner.
The others remained silent, even Xander and Timothy thinks that this was just right.
As she listened, her face turned pale and disbelief filled her eyes but the moment the story ended, she felt much closer to Amber than before.
"I see," was what she could utter at first.
Both her and Amber had such a tragic past, though somehow hers couldn't compare.
She then looked at Harvey who walked towards her and stood beside her.
"Do you pity her?" he asked.
Russel slowly shook her head, "No but I feel tremendous sadness within me. She had pulled me out of my despair yet I couldn't even compare to hers."
After another bout of silence she looked at all of them then at Liana, "I shall be her ally. No matter what happens I will help her in any way I can no matter how small."
"Now that's what I want to hear. Her parents would surely be happy to see all of you together helping her out. Especially so for the two of you," Liana replied before looking at Timothy and Xander.
"She has been shouldering everything when we met her again, we have waited for her to come to us but in the end, she was too strong that she handled everything by herself. Now this put us at ease, that she has all of you as her allies."
She was of course their second mother, she had seen them when they were young and watched from afar how the brothers grow. She was powerless to do anything for them and that left her feeling depressed.
But when Amber appeared again and she watch the siblings come together an immeasurable happiness filled her and she knew that Sarah would have been delighted if she were here.
"Nathan had once dreamt of this," Kyle came as well.
Their attention were in him this time.
"To have the Empires unite and be harmonious and to stop seeing each other as rivals. It seems that his daughter and sons were able to achieve it on his stead. I will look forward to it, the moment you children are able to harmonize this twisted world."
The others looked at one another before each of them smiled and agreed to what he had just said.
"Come to think of it, we will be having a new year concert at the Price mall located at the city center," Gee Anne informed them.
Mathew nodded in agreement, after much deliberation he and Gee Anne was finally able to have a concert in their mall.
"The person she wanted me to meet, I have met her and I can tell that the collaboration would be a success," Aldger then said.
"Our restaurants are slowly appearing within their malls," Harvey added.
"I have decided to become a food critique, I might start infiltrating their place. Though I found this only now, I think I would be able to help this much," Russel then said.
Within the Price malls, there are restaurants run by them, the same people who are under Silvia, the one who actually poisoned Simon Peterson in the past.
"Well the development of the medical equipment are doing just fine, at the same time the cooperation with the other hospitals are being discussed one after another. As for the SNN itself, it was a booming one," Leslie then added to which Brian nodded in agreement.
"As for our side, a bit more cleaning up and it shall be done."
It was Devon who dropped this sentence, referring to the underworld.
"And someone wants to speak with Amber," was Blake's additional information.
All of them looked at him and he could only sigh in worry.
"Ash," she called.
He looked back and could only sigh.
As he entered, other people came in as well.
