325 Her Break Down Doubled I

Amber kept crying as Ashton carried her out of that place.

She didn't know, she'd end up being hysterical in such situation.

Never imagined that just the thought of facing the people who physically killed her parents would make her lose so much control.

Ashton thought that he made the right decision of asking Cedric to bring a different mask. They waited for him in the room and placed it on Amber, who had already fainted.

"Young Master," Cedric couldn't help but worry.

"Vacate the place as fast as possible and burn it to ground. We can't have the police coming now and taking us," he then said to which Cedric bowed before leaving.

Ashton, on the other hand, looked down at Amber. He needs to bring her home and call for his mother, hospital is not an option because they also need to check her face.

"Can I come with you?" Michael, who had assigned his people to bring Oliver Cleaves and Carla to their hideout, asked Ashton.

Ashton nodded, as he tried to place Amber on the passenger seat. She was grasping tightly unto him. As if he was her last life line.

"I'll drive you there," Michael offered.

Watching her a while ago as she killed that man, he can tell just what kind of pain his sister must have been through from these people's hands.

After seeing Amber in person, he could no longer doubt the pull he felt towards her. The same pull he felt towards his sister and his father.

Even the resemblance he saw on Xander a while ago solidified it even more.

Ashton nodded as he sat down at the back of the car.

"Make sure that they are guarded heavily," Michael commanded his subordinates as he ride the car.

"Boss."

"Don't worry, I will shoulder everything. She was my sister after all."

His subordinates felt the sadness coming from him. The same sadness they had been seeing whenever he would think about his sister.

They just didn't expect that he actually would never see her again.

"We understand."

His words were proof that the person killed by Black Spade gang was really his younger sister.

They were under him for so long already that they had treated each other as family. Knowing that one of his family were assassinated by these people who only knew how to kill and do some dark things made them furious.

Blue Cliff may not be as notorious as Black Spade for they too were not clean but that doesn't mean they were bad enough to plainly accept assassinations without further details.

The moment they arrived at the main house of the Wright Empire, Liana and the others were already waiting.

Xander didn't bother and just escaped from their people. They are already used to him escaping and being seen in some clubs and so that's what he did, he went into a club and escaped from there.

After the kidnapping he has more guards, guards to protect him more they say but of course he knew better, he was given more to make sure that he would be watched closely.

And the only way for him to escape this is to be the person who loves women and clubbing.

When he arrived and saw Ashton's clothes, his heart instantly dropped.

"Ashton."

"She was shot in the thigh and had some knife wounds. Not stabbed but still a lot of grazed wounds," Ashton said honestly.

Xander could only grit his teeth, "Can I do something?"

"Mom said it was fine. She was not in a critical condition," was his answer.

"I want to see them," he then said.

"Not until everything is settled, though only the leader remains," Ashton replied.

"So why was she taken then? Did they know of her?" Xander said.

He didn't know why the man he met earlier was there as well, that is why he didn't want to say Nathalie.

"No, it was Amber Wood they wanted. But I still have no idea why that woman is connected with the Black Spade gang," Ashton replied.

"That woman?"

"Carla Ansel."

"That woman!!"

He remembered her, the one who pushed Samantha and almost caused her to have miscarriage.

"I want to kill her."

Ashton shook his head, the way Amber spoke a while ago. It means she has plans for this person.

Just then Timothy and Alissa arrived.

"How was she?"

Ashton once again explained everything and Timothy had the same reaction as Xander.

Yet their anger couldn't be pacified at all.

Timothy noticed Michael and he looked at Ashton with a questioning look.

"Can I speak with the two of you?" Michael noticed this and asked Xander and Timothy.

Ashton nodded at them and they went into another empty room. Alissa stayed behind, seeing as it was a serious one.

She just silently waited beside Ashton, as it was obvioous he was just controlling himself from exploding.

Another hour before Liana came out and told them that everything was fine. It was just in time for Michael and the other two to return.

Seeing the complicated look in Timothy, she approached him and held his hand without asking anything.

He looked at her and smiled.

Despite finding out that he was their uncle, they felt the same way as back with their grandfather. Only time could tell whether they would be close or not.

Michael had the most complicated look. He didn't know how to grieve for his sister and for everything that his niece and nephews had to go through.

"I... shall come back some other time. Once she's better."

They watched him leave, Liana and Kyle and even Gideon looked at Ashton, wondering what had just happened.

"Justin Scott."

He only said the name before entering the room with the other three.

The family looked at each other and disbelief was visible in their eyes. They finally met again, the past young master of Scott family.

The one they treated as their brother as well.

But seeing his complicated look, they could only wait until everything settles.

It was a very confusing time.

So many things have happened in just one day.

*****

Amber was sleeping deeply and her whole body was covered in bandages.

Ashton caressed her cheek, her condition a while ago stabbed his heart thousands of times. Her break down doubled it.

He was able to understand that those people present other than the boss must have been the same people who personally killed her parents.

Facing the killers was entirely different than facing the Price Empire.

For it was in their hands that her parents died right before her eyes.

The room was silent, all they wanted was to watch her breath. Knowing that she was alive was more than enough.

She had so many things she can do with her own hands. Her brain was on the next level. She can fight just fine.

But that doesn't mean she has no flaws. That doesn't mean she can do everything like a god.

Being kidnapped was a proof of it.

Just because she was smart and strong doesn't mean she was invincible.

Something must have caught her off guard on this day. Something she didn't expect causing her to be kidnapped just like that.

They checked the whole building and found only a few of her things, not even her phone was there.

Ashton remembered that she had brought her other phones as well.

Coming to the conclusion that she must have thrown it away.

"It must have been very painful. To finally meet the people who killed our parents," Timothy approached the bed and held her hand.

"You've done a great job," he then said as if Amber could hear him, while he held her hand tightly.

"Your brothers are sorry, we were unable to do anything at all. We were just a background to you," he then added as he knelt down.

Xander was standing by his side with his hands clenched into fists.

No one said anything, no one could say that that was not true. That they were doing their best on their own things.

That won't lift the heavy feeling they are currently having.

Ashton on the other hand was just staring at her face.

Her bloodied body keep coming back in his mind. It was painful and tormenting that he was unaware of the fact that she was kidnapped if not for Timothy checking his siblings.

He felt that no matter what he do, he couldn't do anything for her at all.

The Wright Empire was climbing once again. The underworld was slowly coming under him.

But even with all of these, he was still unable to protect her.

The night was long and the heavy feeling within them didn't lighten at all.

It just keeps getting heavier as time pass and Amber's eyes didn't open.

Despite knowing she was not in danger, the fact that she was wounded all over was torturous enough.

Alissa had fallen asleep by the sofa, Timothy had already carried her into an empty room before going back to Amber's side.

All three of them remained in that room, watching over her.
