289 Allow Her To Know You

Russel knew just who Jackson Philipps is. She knew the fame that this name holds.

Both of them were like light and dark. She was the one in the light while he was the one in the dark.

Despite their bickerings and her jealousy towards him for being Simon's student while still being young, she had acknowledged his talent as well.

She knew what he had gone through and knew what he did in order to reach the person he was today.

"Russel?"

She heard Ashley's voice as she was having some thoughts. She couldn't help but sigh.

"What do you want to know about him?" she asked instead.

"I... just felt like I needed to know? Or like I wanted to know? I also don't understand."

When she first looked him in the eyes, she saw years and years of his experience and she can see that it was a bumpy road.

Somehow she wanted to know, how? How did he do it?

Russel sighed, "Prince of Refinement."

"Huh?" Ashley asked.

"Search that term and you will find out what you are looking for."

Without another word, Russel ended the call.

"I guess I really am jealous of that rascal. He get to be Simon's student, he has the talent with his tongue and now my supposed student became more intrigued about him than me."

Russel grumbled as she bit in the nuts she had been snacking for a while now.

On the other hand, Ashley looked up the term and was astonished by the vast amount of information related to this person.

And as if to emphasize him being a shadow, there was no picture of him at all.

"Why?" she couldn't help but ask.

"I mean, isn't this a bit too unreasonable? He was walking in the daylight but no picture of him was posted online?"

This was unreasonable to her, it is too absurd.

Well, this was all part of Amber's plan.

She decided to hide Jackson's identity for him and Jackson wanted it that way as well.

So she created a program where Jackson's picture are the basis. Everytime the worldwide web were to find a facial feature the same as him, it would be taken down.

There was also Jackson not being out too often but his mobile number were spread. A mobile number the Prince of Refinement uses.

This is separate to what Jackson Philipps use. He has a different number, a private one that only Amber and the others know of.

Amber and Jackson wanted to be out of the spotlight as much as possible but they also needed his influence as the Prince of Refinement.

That is the reason behind the current set up of him being famous not entirely for his name but for his nickname instead.

Of course, owners of different restaurants of different level knew of his real name and of his real face.

Somehow a silent agreement was made to let him do what he wants with his identity, prompting more silent agreement to him being a mysterious person.

Ashley sighed, all the information about the prince of refinement were about him at the current peak of his career. Not one mention of his journey before he reached this phase.

*****

Jackson frowned upon seeing the message he received from an unknown number but the message itself told him who the person is.

FROM:XXXXXXX >>> Rascal, it seems you showed up in front of the brat. She started becoming interested to you. <<<

He sighed, just as he thought, she would really be curious. The questions she didn't ask was because of the fact that she was wondering about something else.

She then received a call and not to his surprise, it was from Amber.

"You already know right?" she asked the moment he answered.

"But you do know I had to show up as well right?" he asked in return.

"She has bodyguards," she then said.

"I just thought I am a better choice to shut them all up and leave her alone than her bodyguards," he then said.

Amber was actually smiling as she spoke to him, "Then you can only take responsibilty. Allow her to know you."

"Are you freaking serious!!" he exclaimed as he furrowed his brows.

"Since you have decided to show up then you can only push through with it. Teach her Jackson, I am asking you not as your boss or the one who helped you. I am asking you as your accepted sister."

"So all along this was your plan?" he asked.

"The moment I told you that I will bring someone in another few years, you were already the one on my mind," she answered.

"Well I actually asked someone else to take her in as his student. Being in Natan won't help her that much. We are a starting restaurant."

Amber was shock to hear this, that Jackson also thought about Ashley's future on his own way.

"Why? It is not only because I asked you to watch over her," she became curious.

Jackson didn't reply.

Ashley just for a bit showed a similarity to him, he once gave up on this dream. Being the young master of that family where their main business was a clothes shop.

But then Amber and his sister appeared one day and wrecked havoc. He suddenly thought, if it is these people. If it is them then maybe he still has a chance.

So he too runaway, the only difference between him and her was that his family was not as loving as her family.

All they want is profit, nothing more nothing less.

"Jackson," Amber spoke up once again after not hearing any reply from him.

"Please help her out."

Jackson sighed, not once when he started his journey in the culinary world did he ever thought that he would step out of the kitchen and help someone else.

He had devoted his life in the kitchen and for the culinary world.

"I'll try but I won't take her as my student or anything. I want to focus on making Natan grow. And I know you have no plans on pulling her in."

Amber chuckled, other than Ashton, somehow Jackson was the next person to understand her plans.

Yes, Ashley was Ashton's younger sister. But that doesn't mean, she has to come into their fight. She was not yet tainted, tainted by the darkness of this world.

She can still spread her wings just fine without minding the revenge that was going on around her.

And Amber knew that Ashton also wants this.

"I feel bad for you though."

Her words made Jackson frown, "I accepted this when I went under your wing. Plus I have seen more than what that brat saw. It is fine for her to grow away from this."

Being bullied all through out his stay here and being shackled by his family back in Star Country, Jackson have already witnessed so many things.

"Very well, I leave her to you."

She then sighed again when she ended the call.

"I feel bad for him somehow," she then said to Ashton who was beside her.

"He accepted this the moment you told him everything. Don't try to be guilty or regret pulling him in, you'd just end up belittling the efforts he had done all this time," was his reply.

"I know that, just that he was of the same age as Ashley. I didn't really took him in to use him for my revenge."

"And he didn't follow you to be behind you all the time. He knew what he was doing already, let him spread his wings while supporting you as well."

"Have you noticed Ash?" she asked as she snuggled closer to him.

"Hmmm?"

"I was left alone yet without realizing it I was already surrounded by so many people that are willing to help me. How many times have I said it already? Just how lucky I am?" she then said.

Ashton just smiled at her just as her life have changed from being alone to being surrounded by so many people.

The direction of his friend's lives have changed and went on a different route than what they already foresaw of them being a puppet of their own empire.

They now took the path that they really wanted to take.

"Not just you, all of us are very lucky to have you as well," he finally said planting a kiss on her forehead.
