It was a moonlit night, and I was sitting alone on a chair in the garden, leaning my elbows on the table and watching the moon. I felt a presence behind me, and when I turned around, there were two familiar people standing there smiling at me.

“Sarge is smart and cool!”

When we say that, Sarge closes his eyes, and after a while, he smiles.

“Well, you have to work and earn money to eat, and you have to get married and have offspring, so it can’t be helped.”

Nora replied in a puzzled tone, but I guess he’s having a hard time thinking about the fact that he’ll be the only one living and we’ll be the only ones dying. I think I can understand that, since Sarge is a lonely person by nature. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why he takes such good care of Aina.

“I’m going to do that even if you don’t tell me. I’ll tell the story so that the kind Sarge who protects this town won’t be lonely. Forever.”

“…… I don’t know when I’ll get to, but when the time comes, I will definitely.”

“I’m looking forward to your wedding with Makina-chan!”

When we said that, Sarge nodded with narrowed eyes. I want this guy to be happy too. I wonder if there are any female dragons?

We continued to talk about our childhood story until late at night. We talked about Nora and Luciel we met when we got our skills, our encounter with Verna-sensei, and my quarrel with my brother–

“When are you leaving?”

I put my hand on Sarge’s head and he looks me in the eye and opens his mouth.

“Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll get over it with my [Super Jack-of-all-Trades].”

Sarge nodded at my answer and shook my hand. But the next moment, Sarge is drooping and saying.

“Aina, huh …… I wonder if it will end with just crying ……”

In fact, the reason I hadn’t left is because Aina hasn’t received any skills yet.
