By the end of the week, Sasuke was a whole lot better than he was before. His health improved tremendously and so did their studies.
It was a Saturday morning, and Sasuke had already planned for them to go see a movie.
Leaving the house as planned, he headed towards their redenvouz point as scheduled.
While waiting, Said caught sight of him near a coffee shop and hurried to meet him.
"Hey! Sasuke." He called out, pulling Sasuke from whatever trance he was in.
Sasuke turned to the sound of the voice and saw Sai and Bashira walking over. Well, technically it was more of Sai pulling Bashira.
Before long they got to where Sasuke was standing.
"Hello guys."
"Hello Sasuke," Bashira greeted.
"What are you doing here?" Sai asked him.
"I am waiting for Sakiko and you? Where are you two headed?"
"Umm... Nothing much. We were..." Sai stuttered.
It was really very obvious what they were up to. Bashira had her head bent down, avoiding his gaze and Sai, quickly turned his head to the side as he scratched his hair, looking for a coherent answer.
"On a date?" Sasuke asked the shy couple in his front, helping them answer.
"No, no, no. It's not like that," Bashira said shaking her head.
Sai felt saddened at her denial but then again, it wasn't really a date. They were going to the shopping mall to pick a gift and maybe a cup of coffee later.
"Well, we are going to get a gift for my kid sister. I couldn't decide so I asked Bashira for her help."
"Ohh, I see. When is her birthday?"
"It's not really her birthday, it is just that this Class rep of ours annoyed her. So it is an apology gift," Bashira quickly filled Sasuke in.
"Hehhe, I hope she accepts your gift and forgive you. Although I am curious as to how you managed to get her angry on the first place."
"I forgot to take her to get her an ice cream when I came back from school and to see the circus show in town yesterday. There was a lot of things needed to be done in school and I lost track of the time and didn't get home early."
"That sounds pretty bad."
"Tell me about it," Sai said dejectedly.
"What about your parents?"
"Well, mum went to visit her sick sister and had to stay back since it was pretty late. Dad on the other hand traveled for a business trip."
"We tried making little Sakura understand but she was throwing a fit about how bad her Onee-chan was," Bashira added.
'Imagine Sakiko behaving like a little kid because of something important I forgot.'
He couldn't help but chuckle at his own thought.
'She'd be pretty cute. I should probably try it out sometime and watch her reaction.'
"Sasuke, why are you laughing? This isn't funny," Bashira cautioned.
"I'm sorry. It isn't related to you. I just seemed to have recalled something. Anyways, why didn't you ask for help with Ayumi, Sakiko or I? We could have filled in for you and besides where are the committee members?"
"We were busy. It wasn't suppose to take long but ended up being so. There were other issues to take care of as well."
"Okay. I am sorry. Next time, ask for more hands."
"More hands means more trouble," he informed Sasuke.
"Well, less hands, more work and an angry little Sakura. Your choice Class Rep. It is either some annoying classmates or a very angry little sis?"
"I chose none."
"Hehhee, you are cute when you are frustrated Class Rep," Bashira teased.
"Not you too! Enough about me, where are you and Sakiko going to?"
"To see a movie."
"Woww, a date huh? You guys are finally taking your relationship to the next step," Sai chipped in. He was trying to pay Sasuke back for the earlier embarrassment he caused him.
Sasuke on the other hand, could easily see through what Sai was trying to do, but he was wrong.
"It isn't what you think. It is like an apology thingy. Nothing more."
"Don't be modest. Everyone knows you and Sakiko are an item. Relax, no one would nag you, bro."
"I know what you are doing Sai. Stop it before your little sis wouldn't be the only one angry at you."
"Congratulations, Sasuke. I am happy for you two. Congrats," Bashira said with joy.
"Who won a lottery?"
All heads turned in her direction as the owner of the voice.
"Sakiko!!?" They all chorused.
"Hello Sai, Bashira and Sasuke. Who won something?" She flashed her trade mark smile as she questioned them.
