22 Chapter 22
"Hahaha! Why are all you birds stopping?! You looking at me?! Watch me dance?! Watch me dance like this! Watch me dance like that!" Quickstep was having the time of his life. He was dancing and singing amidst the hiatus of birds. His unwilling audience looked on unaware of his performance.
"Hehehe! Truly perfect! My intelligence really showed its worth when I chose this form. Hahaha!" Quickstep laughed as he was pleased of his copied existence. He could have taken the invulnerable guy but since he has two weaknesses, he doubted it was really invulnerable as bragged by the description.
Quickstep did not gamble on such obvious misinformation. The last one was the thunder guy. He can punch but couldn't take a hit so it was a big disadvantage to pick that one. The best choice was his to take and he did just that.
"Let me try if I can solve the riddle now." Quickstep tried using his superior mind to tackle the cryptic riddle once more. He analyzed and explored its meaning and possible answers. Within just a single breath, he had come up with billions of formulations within his mind.
Mister Unseen was really a league on his own as he was fast on all things.
"Hmmm. Still not enough. I couldn't count that much. Especially now that I have only two hands and ten fingers. Even my toes added couldn't find how many numbers of days it would need. Should I find a being with many fingers and many toes to count with?" Quickstep was still confused by the clan's riddle.
Even so, he did not lose hope. He believed that a true ant does not give up. A true ant withstands against adversity. He had been idle for only ten breaths.
"What's that?" Quickstep was awakened from his thought when his saw a shape took place below him. It was a pentagram with curious engravings upon it. The picture blazed in a dark light. His instinct told him that getting encased on the closing pentagram would not be good for him.
Quickstep evaded easily and took off once more into the wide blue skies.
"This is going to be problematic." The young boy muttered when he saw the golden haired man effortlessly escaped his formation technique. That was his fastest cast aside from his attack. Since he didn't want his target to be killed, he could not use his sword.
He even doubted that his sword strike would land true to its mark after seeing how fast this golden haired man was.
"I can't catch that man by myself." The young boy thought as he planned his next move. He needed an accomplice. Someone not too strong. Someone he could control. The young boy finally smiled when he thought of someone who perfectly fits what he wanted. Another breath and the young boy was gone with the wind.
"Who would try to play a prank on me?" Quickstep was thinking about the earlier incident. He wouldn't know anybody who would make pictures out of nowhere just for him. He had only met animals and that crazy boy. Both animals he hated were dead. That leaves the boy with the cursed sword.
"Was the boy responsible for that display earlier?" Quickstep asked the system.
"Affirmative, host." The system answered Quickstep.
"Hahaha! It's good to be intelligent! I love you, my intelligent brain! Hehehe!" Quickstep laughed out loud as he had been correct on his conjecture. The boy was out to get him.
