"Transmogrify completed. Congratulations, host. You now have 6 existences available to transmogrify," the system reported after the successful change of Quickstep's form.
"Hmmm. This is bad. I can't go on destroying forests like this." Quickstep said and turned off his domain of fire. He has complete mastery of an existence he transmogrified into. Its complete powers and abilities utilized by him.
Quickstep then jump and flew into the air. He felt free once more. All his worries forgotten. After five minutes of testing his new body, he suddenly remembered something.
"Time for revenge! Get me the Tiger!" Quickstep instructed the system. His blood had been spilled and he almost died by the hands of that Tiger. It's time for him to be the one to draw blood.
"Affirmative, host." The system responded to Quickstep. A green arrow magically appeared before him which he followed its directions. Quickstep arrived at his destination in only three minutes.
"Where?! Where is the Tiger?!" Quickstep asked the system. All he could see were ashes who formed like sand in the seashores.
"Majority of his remains are at this location, host." The system replied to Quickstep.
"Bouncing balls! Did I already kill him?" Quickstep asked in exclamation to the system.
"Affirmative, host." The system said to Quickstep.
"How could this be? Is it fate? Is fate toying with me?" Quickstep muttered as this was the second time he had been robbed of his chance to intimately take the life of his foes. He was shocked by what he believed this means.
"Is this a sign? Does heaven forbids me to continue my quest for justice? It can't be." Quickstep was stupefied at these chain of events. He was on the ground with his head low, trapped within his thoughts.
"Are those murd…" Quickstep asked the system after a while. But before he could finish his question, he felt pain in his back. Quickstep felt his world turned upside down as he tumbled on barren ground over and over again. His rolling stopped to a distance of half a kilometer from his initial position.
He was dizzy and his chest hurts. He looked up and saw a young boy holding a sword. The youth wore a red robe and his sword was dark with black flames surrounding it. The sword doesn't seem inanimate but alive.
Quickstep could sense with his phoenix eyes that souls were confined within the cursed sword. There were humans, monsters, beasts, and many more existences that Quickstep can't name.
"Bouncing balls! Why did you attack me?" Quickstep asked the young boy. The phoenix can't form words like humans. Its throat was not made to speak human language. What a phoenix uses is telepathy that communicates through thoughts.
Quickstep was hurt. Even if the wound was visibly healing at a fast pace, he could still feel the pain. It was not a good feeling at all.
