9 Chapter 9
"Weeee! Hahaha! Is this how it feels to fly?! I want to fly forever! Hehehe!" Quickstep was experiencing how it was to soar above the clouds, looking down on all of creation. He stayed high and enjoyed the feeling of freedom.
This was a feeling Quickstep wanted to have over and over again. Before, he can only look in envy at those creatures far higher than he was but now, he felt how it was to be the one on top. The sensation was pretty addictive.
Who would want to stay rooted on the ground after one has taken off the shackles of the earth? Definitely, not him. Quickstep was tired of kissing the ground.
"This is how it feels to be free," Quickstep thought happily. The sun has just risen as its rays marked the beginning of a new day.
"I love it! Hahaha! Time to get that Cheetah! Lead me to it!" Quickstep instructed the system after he got over from the ecstasy of flying. He was currently traversing the sky at 390 kilometers per hour. His vision does not blur from the mighty winds but remained clear and perfect as he cut through the strong gales.
"Affirmative, host," the system replied to Quickstep. A green arrow was now hovering before Quickstep to show him the way towards his quest of retribution. It only took a mere ten minutes for him to find his despised nemesis.
"Bouncing balls! How could this be?!" Quickstep was angry at what he saw. Before him were the scattered bones of the Cheetah. No flesh can be found because it has long been eaten by predators or was decomposed already.
The bones were crushed and distinct indentions of sharp teeth could be observed from them. It glaringly displayed a perfect picture of the law of the jungle.
"This cheetah has been dead for over 85 years, host," the system said to Quickstep.
"What?! Why did you not tell me earlier?!" Quickstep was mad because he had been robbed of his retaliation to this Cheetah. He did not expect for this Cheetah to be so short-lived.
"You did not ask for that particular information, host," the system answered Quickstep.
"Bouncing balls! What about those murderers?!" Quickstep shouted towards the system. He was afraid that he could also not take justice for his family.
"They are both alive and well, host," the system replied to Quickstep.
"Hahaha! Good! Heaven has not forsaken me! I will reap their lives myself!" Quickstep was glad to find that his mortal enemies were still breathing. He has plans on how to let them suffer long and hard before he executes them. Quickstep would let them feel his pain a million times over.
"Ant justice is not granted, it must be exacted! Bring me to them!" Quickstep commanded the system.
"Affirmative, host," the system responded to Quickstep. He then launched upwards to continue his seeking for those who wronged him. He flew towards the sky and everything appeared tiny below him.
