22 Teleportation formation
After having lunch with his two siblings who were still try to figure out the answer to his question. Aaron left them in his room and went to his mother, Rose's office room.
Rose like always was not present at the moment, he didn't know where or what she was doing and he didn't bother with it either.
In her office room that was still the same when he had been here before. He went to the desk and took his seat as he ordered the system to resume collecting all the information.
Aaron didn't sit idle as well, he started to start creating the special binding contract for his plan.
His objective for this was not to make these people fight or die for him. It was to make sure that during the war there were enough people to protect his family so he could focus his attention on other matters without worrying about their safety.
The chaos and turmoil during the upcoming war were all he could take measures against.
He would take control of everything that was happening in the empire. Becoming the only person who would be in control of the situation and plan for all the variables to come up unexpectedly.
The wars of the empire were nothing new, ordinary people referred to it as the 'higher-ups stretching their legs'. It was indeed true that this war caused a lot of death and destruction each and every time.
It would be a harsh and cruel thing to say that after each war the empire would go in a state of hibernation, where the people who had lost their loved ones would mourn. But with this loss came a simple but interesting change in the empire. The survivors would be promoted to a higher ranking as replacements to the deceased. Due to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, the previously scarce resources would be easier to get hands on.
In simpler terms this wars where done by those people in a way to thin the population every few decades. Yes, it was a massacre, genocide was the solution that those people had come to.
To these people, the effect of these wars was beyond satisfactory as it indeed brought stability in the empire. Also, it helped the younger generations to sharpen their skills, gain experience, knowledge and get stronger.
Aaron was no saint who wanted to stop this thing and do something about it. He was not a hero who cared about the masses. If a massacre was happening, let it happen, as long as his people are safe its all well and good.
Heroes are wonderful when they are fictional characters, in real life only people who where just too good would worry about others. And being good doesn't always bring equivalent rewards either. Many heroes at the end turn broken inside mentally and emotionally due to the loss of people closest to them. They could have saved them but were not present when they needed them. This regrets over time would eat them from the inside.
For saving hundreds of lives each time what is the reward that is given to these heroes? Just fame, public recognition and a bit of monetary assistance, that's all. One would say that that is what a hero is! Helping and saving people without any expectation for rewards, it's a noble deed. But are they really being realistic in saying so? If it is a noble and glorious thing to do why is it that only a handful of people coming forward to do it? These Heroes of wars are not human? They don't have families, needs and a stomach to fill? No this is just hypocrisy of people who don't want to take the risks and push it onto someone else. In a sense, heroes are nothing but scapegoats. But this goat is not bearing sins of anyone just that they are too good and naive as they are being fooled into this thing. Being manipulated by people in the name of righteousness and what not.
Aaron was not someone who would just standby and watch injustice happening in front of him. But this war was not an injustice against anyone in particular. It was all being done for a simple reason of controlling the population and to keep the ones in charge continue to reign over the masses. If these people wanted to do it for the sake of their vanity then why was Aaron supposed to stop it? He might as well use these people for the benefit of his family.
While Aaron was working on the binding contract, Julia was jubilant because Aaron had asked for her help. She had learned from Alan that Aaron was working on something that was very important for his plan to succeed. Knowing how important this was to Aaron and that he asked for her assistance with it made her greatly appreciated and loved by him.
All this time Aaron and she had hung out with each other, but it was only like a teacher and student. She would teach him about Arrays and he would just listen. But this time it was different she would be able to help him at least she hoped she would.
As she walked out from her office with a pleased and sweet smile on her face, she noticed that Rose's office door was wide open. Curious she went over to take a look, to find Aaron dedicated to working on something. A lot of questions appeared in her mind but she didn't ask them.
Knocking on the door twice she walked inside the room to see heaps of books piled up. The room also had a peculiar faint odour of aged paper.
"Never, thought someone's office could be this big and still so cramped," Julia said sarcastically.
Aaron looked up to her and smiled as he gestured her to take a seat next to him.
"What do you think? This is the base for the Array formation take a look." Aaron said as he slides the paper towards Julia.
Julia looked at the diagram of the array drawn on the paper, she started to inspect it for any rookie mistakes that she would find made by her students at the Academy.
This single diagram was the most foundational aspect of an array formation the more solid and accurately it was designed and developed the more stable, effective and efficient it would be. Each and every type of Array formations required a different type of foundations. There are a total of 49 standard foundations for arrays that can be used for various and varying degrees of use and applications. These foundations were something very rudimentary and old school but no doubt they were useful even today. A lot of Array masters in the past have studied these foundational formations to come up with their own unique foundational formations. These foundational formations could be considered formulas to solve a problem in newly created Array formations. If they can abide by the rules of these foundational formations it would be considered a successful creation.
After inspecting for all the possible mistakes, Julia went on with her inspection, she found out that there were constant changes made to this diagram. She could see that Aaron had learned everything from her well and he could even create a unique foundation for his formation that was very good.
"The foundation is very stable, Aaron. But how about you change this like this and this over here to join with this. Cutting access to this part to the core will reduce overconsumption of mana." Julia said as she picked up a pencil and made rectification to the diagram.
Aaron looked at the changes and furrowed.
"This is not a method I know of, wait, you didn't teach me this!" Aaron said as he came to a realization.
"Hehe... I didn't know of it myself, but I learned it by self-studying a complex formation. It really is something. I'll tell you, I received it from Hana who received it from Rose. I don't know what it is used for but it gave me a lot of insights. Do you wanna look at it?~" Julia said making it tempting.
"What kind of formation is it?" Aaron said ignoring her attempts.
"Don't know, I have been trying to figure it out for a few years now with no real progress. But it was still very enlightening and gave me a few new ideas. All I can say is it is very complex, even a group of formation masters would not be able to create something like this easily." Julia said. She then pulled out the papers she had received from Hana years ago and unfolded them on the table.
Aaron also inspected these diagrams of the array formation one after another.
"It looks like a teleportation formation to me. There seem to be some coordinates on it, possibly a distant location." Aaron said with his hand on his chin.
"Teleportation? How is that possible? It has only been a fictional and theoretical thing. How do you know it's a teleportation formation?" said Julia in disbelief and discrediting it.
"There are a few books here that specify how to make one and whether it would work or not will I can't tell either. Based on what I see here and what I have read it is possible to make a working version of it. If it is determined that it has a practical application then that would be something." Aaron said as he traced each and every strokes on the diagrams with his fingers.
"No wonder she has been shuttling through and from home constantly," Julia said to herself.
"What?" Aaron asked unable to hear her clearly.
"Nothing, just talking to myself," Julia replied to him.
