9 Business contrac

Aaron spent the next two hours going through each and every feature of the system. He found the surveillance and anti-surveillance option and enabled it without hesitation.

He also found a library function where all his memories where stored.

The library had all his memories from both lives and also a lot of other information regarding History, Mathematics, Science & Technology, and miscellaneous other knowledge.

Granted that history from earth no longer had any meaning to it in another world. Aaron did not find it useless, history, although at times can be biased towards the person it was written about, it still had a lot of lessons to be learned from it.

He treated all this information as a database for the system and did not plan on going through them immediately.

Now that the system was capable of doing the tedious job of gathering information he had more time at his disposal than before.

Picking up a random book, he ordered the system to start gathering information from all the books in the study room.

Meanwhile, he would continue to change books at random intervals. To someone observing this scene, it would seem as though a little kid was just scrolling through the books to look for an interesting picture but soon the kid got bored with it and switched to another book.

Time went by, as it was soon almost evening. The beautiful sky turned more and more reddish as the sun was about to set. A maid entered the study room and walked towards the maid in charge of the upkeep of the study room.

Noticing the maid coming her way, she walked closer to her. Knowing that she had come to look for the young master she gestured in Aarons direction.

The other maid nodded and started to walk in the direction. Reaching a distance of few meters away from Aaron the maid said gently.

"Young Master, The Master has asked for your presence in his office."

Looking at the maid and wondering why his father would be looking for him. There was no instance of his father asking for his presence today in his memory. Could it be the timeline has already started to divert? Are the stockings really that big of an aspect to create such changes?

Should he terminate the deal? Would it fix this? Was it worth it?

Standing up and walking towards the study room's exit as he continued to walk to reach the stairs leading to the first floor.

Soon, Aaron reached in front of his father's office. The guard greeted him with a smile and bowed. He pushed the big door of the office open for Aaron.

Taking a deep breath Aaron entered the office.

Alan Avron's office was spacious and had a regal atmosphere to it. By the window was a desk with four chairs on one side and a single chair with high headrest. Lord Alan Avron was sitting on this single chair, opposite to him across the table sat another man with ordinary features. He was quite nervous in front of Lord Alan. Sweat can be seen rolling down his forehead as he shuttered as he answered to Lord Alan's questions.

A distance away from them on a couch sat a beautiful woman who was going through a scroll while taking small sips of steaming hot tea. She was Aaron's third mother Julia.

Julia was the first to notice Aaron's arrival. Her eyes glimmered slightly as she raised her hand to wave at Aaron. But Aaron ignored her presence and continued to walk towards the desk.

Seeing this Julia was a little puzzled. Aaron would usually never ignore her. Only when she teased him would he act as if he didn't hear her. But never like this. He was always well aware of his surroundings and would greet everyone present. This time however he walked straight to the desk.

Thinking about it, she remembered her promise to him and slight guilt filled her heart, as she linked Aaron's behaviour to him being mad at her for going back on her word.

This was the first time that Aaron had ignored her like this. Her heartfelt disturbed by this feeling. She wanted to apologize to him as soon as possible so as to never feel like this again.

To Julia, Aaron was her own son. She loved him very much, since the day she first saw him. She was immediately filled with motherly love for him. So this cold demeanour of Aaron really pierced through her heart.

Aaron had no intention of ignoring Julia whatsoever, his thoughts were chaotic as he tried his best to calm his nerves and thoughts.

Alan Avron noticed his son enter the room. Today this young son of his had made him proud, to be able to get this done at a young age really made him joyous.

As the young man was walking in, he felt that there was a layer of mystery to him suddenly. As if he was in the presence of someone superior to him. He didn't have this feeling even from the Emperor.

"Aaron, this gentleman here is Jason, he is a subordinate of Mr. Steve from the Thread and needles company. He is here to finalize the formalities of your deal with Mr. Steve. Mr. Steve wants to start a large scale production and wants to get the formalities completed. I have already looked through the contract, everything is fine, so you can rest assured. Come take a look at it." Lord Alan said as he passed the contract to Aaron.

Knowing that this was about the contract helped him calm down a bit. Extending his hand to grab the contract as he looked at the man named Jason.

Aaron didn't doubt his father's competence but he wanted to make sure that the tweaks he had asked Mr. Steve were made to the contract or not. Seeing everything to his satisfaction, he stood there for a few moments in deep thought after which he placed the contract in front of his father.

"Dad, you sign it," Aaron said as he placed a pen on the contract papers.

"I should? Why?" Lord Alan asked looking confused due to his son's actions.

"Dad, will I have to pay any tax for my income?" Aaron asked.

"Usually, Yes, but you are a juvenile child so according to laws of the empire you are exempted from all taxes, why do you ask?" Lord Alan said.

"This law was made in consideration of the orphans, who could only depend on themselves to live a better life till a certain age, so in order to make them burden free of tax or be forced into a corner, this law was passed. If I were to exploit such a law when I am not in a similar situation that would cause a lot of heads to turn in our direction when the profits from this deal would go untaxed. A minuscule amount of money is not worth it to be a stain to our reputation. Although I can pay the tax it would still be far too less compared to what others would have to pay because of my age. Also, it would become difficult for Mr. Steve to explain or prove his innocence in this matter. Those people would think him to be our accomplice in it. Also, they won't buy it that this idea came from a one-year-old. Don't you agree?" Aaron explained his thoughts.

Pin drop silence prevailed in the room. As the other three people looked at Aaron as if he had performed a miracle right in front of them. Which they could not believe was true.

"Yes, I do! Alright, I'll sign it. If what you say comes true then there will be people who will turn antsy because of this. That was impressive. I take it you learned it during all the time you spent reading in the study room. Excellent! If you want I can find Business management and economics teacher for you?" Lord Alan asked as he signed the contract under the Avron Family. He passed a copy of the signed contract to Jason.

"That won't be necessary! I'll learn on my own." Aaron said.

"Thank you for doing business with us. We look forward to fulfilling cooperation in the future. My Lord if there is nothing else than I would like the permission to take my leave." Jason stood up to receive the contract with both his hands as he said while bowing.

"You can take your leave." Lord Alan said with a smile.

Jason gave bow as he walked a few steps back only then did he turned around to walk towards the exit.

"I will also return to the study room," Aaron said.
