17 Chapter 15 Modern and Ancien

"I think I'll excuse myself... I'll see you in the coming week, Takemi-san".

"Please take care of me in the Student Council, Mayumi-senpai".

The red eyed eldest daughter of the Saegusa Family left the house quicker than she arrived. Although she didn't mind staying and talking to the Mikazuchi, she was very much becoming a third wheel in the conversation, something that she did not enjoy.

She sighed, 'It seems like I've got something to report to Father, however I don't think he'll be very happy...'.

Mayumi gave one last glance at the gigantic three story house and took out her cellphone and messaged a number. Shortly after a car came to pick her up and she left. An unfamiliar feeling was rising in her heart...

'Just forget it. I'll worry about myself when it comes about...'.

Angelina on the other hand was ecstatic!

"You really mean it?!".

"Yes, I do".

"Really, really?!".

"Really, really, really, I do mean it".

She sat in the seat besides Takemi while her phone was dialing. It was her granduncle's number and she had a feeling, other than the feeling of happiness, that Takemi wanted to speak to him.

"Angelina? How was it? Did Takemi say-".

"He did! He did!". She could barely contain her excitement.

"Oh? It was that easy? I expected him to put up more of a resistance but-".

"Oji, can I talk to you for a moment?".

Angelina handed the phone to Takemi who took it off speaker phone and held it against his ear.

"I have a few questions for you Patriarch. Questions regarding this marriage".

Takemi could hear him clearing his throat over the phone, "Ask away".

"Firstly, why are you doing this so early? I'm going to turn sixteen in a few weeks and Angelina will be turning fifteen in several months. Couldn't you have just waited?".

Angelina looked a bit upset however Takemi just sighed and said to her, "I'm sorry. But did you want to continue the Kudou Family now or in a few years?".

She blushed and instantly said, "A few years! Definitely not now!".

Takemi nodded before hearing Kudou Retsu's voice, "Well Takemi, you underestimate yourself. Many daughters from many Magic Families are looking to win you over. I wouldn't be surprised seeing as the Saegusa Family daughter was just at your house. I had to win the competition early".

"Okay. But we won't become a legal husband and wife until I turn eighteen and Ange turns sixteen, is that fine with you?".

"Yes. That's completely fine with me. However, it seems that a rather extensive flooding has occurred at the Kudou Mansion and several rooms have been ruined. We managed to save all the items, but Angelina's room is one of them".

The aforementioned girl's eyes widened and said, "What! Where am I going to-".

Her granduncle interrupted, "Since you and Takemi are to be wed I moved everything over to your location already. Takemi, I hope that you will take care of my grandniece from now until the day you die. Have a nice day-".

The connection cut and the doorbell rang. Angelina ran over to the front door while Takemi sat down and was tempted to throw the phone at the ground in rage.

'Damn old man! He played me! Played me like a fiddle!.... On the other hand though...'.

"Ding! User had cleared a Mission! Say Mission to open the Mission tab of the [Type-Moon System]".

'That was rather coincidental... not that it isn't welcome of course...'.

He accepted the rewards but didn't open the store as his 'fiancée' called out for him.

"Takemi! All my stuff, it's here!".

Takemi saw that both Musashi and Angelina had brought about a dozen boxes inside each labelled with Angelina's name on the side.

"It seems like I'm living with you from now on!", she said with a smile. The Master only shot his Servant a glance before saying, "Choose a room upstairs and I'll bring everything up. Musashi and I have some things to discuss".

Angelina had already noted Musashi's frown and walked upstairs picking out a room from the dozen or so the Mikazuchi have in their house.

"So.... marriage? That's nice...". Said Saber while turning around. She wasn't happy, at all.

Takemi just held his Servant in his arms and rested his chin on her shoulder.

"Nothing will change. Remember what you said right? "I'm the first wife, I get priority?". Where's the bravado gone?".

Musashi smirked a little before turning around and placed a kiss on Takemi's lips.

"It's in the two dozen places we messed around in last night. Or was it three dozen?".

"See? What did I say yesterday? That you're the most important person in the world to me?".

Saber blushed and picked up one of the boxes, swaying her hips sensually, knowing that her Master was watching.

Takemi shook his head violently dispelling all lewd thoughts, 'This is going to be much harder than I originally thought...'.

A few hours later, with the help of both Takemi an Musashi, Angelina had settled in the room directly beside's Takemi's. Although it wasn't 'his' room, as he and Musashi both shared one, it was the room her practiced Magecraft in and thus was pretty isolated from the rest of the house. It was actually the only room in the house, not including the basement, that didn't have any windows.

"Ange-chan?".

"Yes, Takemi?".

"Tomorrow I will be heading off to Four Leaves for a business meeting. Originally I was going to go alone, but, seeing as you're my beautiful bride to be, I was wondering if you wanted to-".

"Yes!".

Angelina jumped and smiled while holding her fiancées hand. She normally would only get to see Takemi for a few hours each year but this time, she had roughly a week before she returned to the USNA for her final year of middle school.

"That's good. I'll get dinner ready and we'll leave for Four Leaves early tomorrow morning".

She gave him a nod and smile before turning red and pecking Takemi on the cheek and running back to her room.

He felt the lingering feeling of her lips on his cheek and smiled.

'Definitely harder than I thought...'.

The three of them had their dinner and each retreated back to their respective rooms. Musashi was a little sad that her body pillow- boyfriend was no longer beside her but didn't stop her from hogging the entire bed for herself. Angelina spoke with Takemi briefly before going to bed and gifted the young man another kiss on the cheek.

"Takemi... if I was called back to the USNA, would you come with me?".

"I'd have to talk about it with Musashi, but unless it was a matter of utmost urgency I wouldn't. I'm starting school soon".

Her pretty face scrunched up a little before asking, "Not to live. But for a holiday or something like that... I do love Japan and consider it my home but it's just that I've got some... "business" in the USNA. Business that can't be resolved quickly or easily".

Angelina wasn't aware that Takemi knew that she was apart of STARS. He pulled her closer and let her rest her head on his chest before saying, "It's fine. I'll follow you to the ends of the Earth...".

She smiled and Takemi watched her walk to her room before he finally walked into his 'workshop' and locked it behind him.

The workshop was originally another room that wasn't mentioned on the floor plans and was had it's own ventilation system, electrical system and escape route. Takemi however, ignored the them and only had a bed and several shelves covered in books in it. Every single book was one either related to science, magecraft or magic.

"Ding! User has obtained an item not normally available from the [System]. The [System] has adapted and created another tab beneath [Magecraft], titled [Four Great Systems] and [Eight Major Types].

Takemi nodded at the [System's] explanation before pressing on it causing the tab to expand.

Pressing further, he selected the [Ancient Magic] and saw a few listed underneath.

[Ancient Magic]

[Parade] - Ancient Magic belonging to the Sensory-Systematic Type. Creates an illusion around the caster by altering the Eidos to create a false appearance. It does alter reality, however at its simplest it is just a simple refraction of light which distorts the users body or appearance.

[Ghost Walker] - Ancient Magic belonging to the Outer-Systematic Mental Interference Type. The magic effects a persons vectors and based on the Magicians desires can distort and redirect others sense of direction so that they will never reach the intended goal.

[Spirit Magic] - Ancient Magic belonging to the Outer-Systematic Type. Utilizes independent information bodies called Spirits which are non-physical entities made up of Pushions. Senses the "Idea" in which all information bodies are stored.

[Sense Tuning] - Ancient Magic belonging to the Outer-Systematic Type. An advanced skill within Spirit Magic that allows the user to harmonize one of their five senses with a spirit.

Takemi was surprised by the spell [Parade] in his memory. He knew that this spell was a closely guarded secret, even for the Kudou as it could fool even magical forms of detection, except for one of two ways. The first was simple, the find the exact moment the caster cancels the spell and attack before they have a chance to cast it again, or by accessing the illusions Eidos to track the location of the casters body.

The other three were good as well. [Spirit Magic] could almost be considered its own type of Magic since it was so broad and [Ghost Walker] worked similarly to many of the bounded fields that Takemi could buy.

'Damn. That's a pretty high-tier spell. I wonder what else there is...'.

Swapping from [Ancient Magic] to [Modern Magic] a wide variety of spells appeared in front of Takemi.

[Modern Magic]

[NOx Out] - Modern Magic belonging to the Systematic Absorption-Type. It combines the oxygen and nitrogen in the air to produce various nitrogen oxides. Is a spell with an area of affect that can knock out multiple targets quickly. Nitrogen dioxide and nitrogen monoxide are both created from this.

[Disruption] - Modern Magic belonging to the Systematic Dispersion-Type. It disrupts elementary and composite particles that are affected by an electromagnetic force on of the four fundamental interactions. It does so by creating a electric field or vector field in which the Magician can attract or repel forces around them.

[Thunder Child] - Modern Magic belonging to the Systematic Dispersion-Type. It is a modern version of the Ancient Magic Thunder Spawn. It extracts electrons from an object and channels it to create a pseudo lightning bolt.

[Mirror Cage] - Modern Magic belonging to the Systematic Conversion Absorption-Type. It works by creating a coordinate or origin which then causes no light to enter. Of course as a result the inside of the cage is pitch black possessing no light.

"Damn... this is really... good?".

Takemi didn't know too much about this worlds Magics. He was aware that some of these spells were classified as A or even B Rank, however comparing them to some of the Magecraft he could buy they are rather lacking.

"I suppose the Kudou Family isn't actually a Family directly suited for combat. I should just be lucky that I've got them... and wait a second!".

He brought up his status again and saw the 149,140 TMP and mentally grinned.

"Oh [System]! What do you recommend?".

He had grown used to asking the [System] for suggestions. It was one of the few things he could count on when regarding it.

"Ding! [System] recommends...".
