302 Sis Yi, He Is Your Fiancé?!

"I think my stars have some vendetta against me!"

An hour had passed like sand flowing off fists, they didn't notice at all, too consumed in each other company. It was like two broken pieces were put back together that were lost before. They were contrasting yet too synchronizing.

Lei Xinyi laid on her furry comforter and Lu Xinyi had her head on her abdomen. Lei Xinyi ran her hand on her scalp absentmindedly and her other hand was in the bowl of walnuts that she would use to grab some and drop half in Lu Xinyi's mouth and the other half in her own.

She had taken it all too well much to Lei Xinyi glee. She didn't really want to do what would have been mandatory if she had made a ruckus or freaked out after hearing of her real identity. It made her happy to know it.

Her presence to her was too calming like she knew she belonged. Like she was finally with her own kind, though there was nothing that they had in common. It was peculiar yet it was the most fundamental at the moment. A strange bond that they couldn't explain but it was too intense to be anything but tangible.

Lying wasn't really the toughest part but Lei Xinyi felt a strong need to be truthful to her and to bury all the pretension behind when she was with her, particularly. And there was nothing that assured her more because she knew she wasn't going to regret her decision.

Lu Xinyi hummed with a frown, "You aren't happy with life." It was stated without a hint of a query, as she was sure of her assumption, although it wasn't obvious to her why was it like that. She could just feel it.

Lei Xinyi stared at the ceiling in thought before shrugging, "I can't say that I am not happy because I am not exactly sad. I am just not happy to be happy like that."

She exhaled without her knowledge, she was pouring her heart out to the innocent minx resting on her lap, she had never been to bare to anyone. If Lu Xinyi was to ask, she would unfold all her life for her, she just knew and she wasn't bothered by it, "It all feels like a house of cards that would stumble in heavy wind and tumble down when the surface shake. I can't bring myself to believe any of it and besides, it's complicated."

Lu Xinyi's brows collided in confusion, "Complicated, how?" She was conflicted with everything she was hearing but she was just calm that Lei Xinyi was here with her and that when she was with her she will stay safe.

"Li…" She paused and decided not to reveal his identity yet, "My recent fiancé who is helping me is… Well, I don't trust him." 

She bit her lower lip and thought it through then shook her head, "No! I do trust him but that is what is scary. He is slowly but surely making me too reliant on him and I don't understand him at all! I don't get what he wants from me. He is just very good to me and that doesn't make sense. What is in it for him is too vague not to mention he is a perilous man!"

Twirling her Chestnut brown hair tress between her pale fingers, Lu Xinyi narrowed his eyes in deep thinking trying to make sense of the conversation. With a gasp she sat up, facing Lei Xinyi, "He is Li Yuan, isn't he?! Oh my God! You should run away with me. He is a horrible person!"

After a moment of contemplating, Lei Xinyi sighed then nodded. It was more than obvious and there was no need of denying it.

She really wanted to talk to someone about it all without veiling and lying. It was getting harder each day to bear it all on her shoulders. she could talk to Su Qing but she wouldn't put it past her to judge her for her decisions and she had some concerns concerning Su Qing and He Zheng. There was something fishy with both of them.

"He is not that bad of a person and minds you but he is helping me clean the mess I made."

"But he…" Lu Xinyi huffed and groaned.

She really liked Lei Xinyi but Li Yaun was sure an evil incarnate and she couldn't digest the thought of him not infecting Lei Xinyi with his bad manners! After sulking for a while she relented, "Sis Yi, If you say so but he is a weird, crazy man. If you ever get rid of him, Yu Youhan has three handsome brothers and he has some good friends..."

Lei Xinyi held her hand and tugged her back on the pillow next to her, "He has a hot body and he is loaded, so we will stop backbiting him now!"

Lu Xinyi pouted and huffed, "Sis Yi, There is nothing partially about him that is likable and his Mom treated me horribly like I was trash!"

Lei Xinyi hummed, "Agreed," She shrugged, "My supposed latest fiancé is an assh*le, his mother is a b*tch and my other fiancé is a homicidal maniac, I am figuratively hunted in the city, my adopted father is ready to sell me to the highest bidder. I don't have a f*cking penny in my name and everything else is dandy."

Lu Xinyi's face turned to her with a jolt, "Sis Yi, he is your fiancé?! He proposed to you and you accepted his proposal! And you have another fiancé beside him. God! That's bad, you can get in a lot of trouble if they ever meet!"

Lei Xinyi tossed some walnuts in her mouth casually, "Told you. My life is as the definition of complicated reach!" She put the remaining walnuts in her hand in Lu Xinyi's mouth, "But I have thought about it all and have finally come to a conclusion that nothing I do will change anything. So let life bring it on. I will see it as it comes."

Lu Xinyi turned back to the ceiling and hummed in thought., taking it all in when a memory hit her like a bulldozer and she jolted back in the sitting position with astonishment. Her eyes trailed to Lei Xinyi's flat abdomen, she was laying on a while ago, "Did you... Did you lose the baby?!" Realizing she may have hit a sore subject, she revolted, "I am sorry! I didn't mean..."

Lei Xinyi cursed Li Yuan under her breath and tugged her back on the bed, "Please! there was no child! It was just Li Yuan telling people tales."
