"What have you been discussing, ladies?" His stern question was polite only as it was pronounced but the underlying threat was clear to every ear present in the room.

Lei Xinyi poured some juice and handed it to him with her left hand and that is when Madam Li's smile was stripped. There sat a gleaming ring shunning her world on her ring finger. 

When did he even do that?!

Lei Xinyi's smirk widened looking at Madam Li from the corner of her eye. Li Yuan took the glass thinking nothing of it as it was a daily occurrence between them,

"Your mother was telling me about your nurturing and childhood days." She threw a subtle taunt at Madam Li, who could see it now what the woman was all about.

The woman was definitely filled with wiliness; her jab was laced with venom but still would look harmless to anyone who didn't know of the back-story! Such a treacherous clever snake!

"Was she now?" With a frown, he lightly asked.

Then with a raised brow, he turned to his mother, it was obvious he was too blinded by that woman to fault her but still didn't believe that they were having a civilized conversation.

Madam Li composed herself in an instant. She fisted her hands under the table and smiled nonetheless, "Yes and I was guiding her of her future proceedings." Where she will be kicked to a curb.

With a dismissing nod, he let it go. Madam Li barely held herself from puking at the display in front of her through the breakfast.

It was like her world was inverted or she was thrown to some parallel world. Her son who couldn't be bothered if one was starved to death was filling the young woman's plate and urging her to eat and the wench was slyly ignoring him.

Once in a while he would feed her with his own chopstick and would be ecstatic if she took the bite instead of declining that she often did. She wanted to pull her hairs and slap some sense into her son. The heathen wasn't handicapped; she could eat very well on her own!

After they were done with their breakfast, Li Yuan kissed her goodbye as if his mother wasn't even there and as if to flaunt it in her face that b*tch pulled him in to deepen the kiss that was just a peck. When he broke free the witch clutches she had a glint in her eye along with a haughty smirk that her love-struck son who was smiling goofily at her was too blind to see.

He whispered a silent apology in her ear that she nodded to.

Pleased, he caressed her cheek with tenderness, and the b*tch leaned in his touch, "Don't stay out late and keep your phone with you I will call you for your appointment at lunchtime." She nodded at him and he looked about ready to serve her his organs but instead compromised with kissing her forehead.

Standing up straight his eyes fell on her that he was reminded that the ingrate who gave him birth even existed was there!

Inside she was burning in rage but instead of erupting she gave him her sugar garnished smile and he kissed her cheeks bidding her goodbye. She wanted to cringe away but held still; he literally had his tongue down that witch's throat!

When he left Lei Xinyi stood up too, giving her yet another mocking smirk of her. She flickered her hair over her shoulder, haughtily, "Well Madam Li, I will take my leave. I am sure you have a busy schedule planning my 'future proceedings'."

Madam Li glared at her back but decided not to voice her hatred for her further. Lei Xinyi got out with conceited confident strides.

She will see how long will that attitude last. When she said that the girl wasn't his first conquest she wasn't kidding. She will be out of trend before she even knows it!

And... when his Grandfather will know of this arrangement, he will make sure she was going to be thrown back in the sever she had crawled up from. She took a sip with a smirk.

Lei Xinyi boarded in the car arranged for her and told the driver to take a detour around the city. The windows were tinted black so she had nothing to worry about being seen.

She had nothing against his mother but the woman wouldn't give up! And she wouldn't deserve her name if, after everything she did for her freedom, she endured domestic or verbal abuse. The woman was far too high on her horse to let it go otherwise.

If she wanted a good show then she will give her one!

Li Yuan wanted to take her for a medical check-up. So they will have all her medical reports and they can have her blood samples along with dental reports to avoid the kind of accident that took place months ago.

In her b*tchy ramble, the housekeeper had slipped the information. She often has some unusual information in her campaign-against-Lei-Xinyi speeches. As they say in the rubble you find gems.

She leaned back on the plush backseat of the car as it circled around the city aimlessly. She typed till she encrypted the server and a smile bloomed on her face. A series of codes appeared and she knew what she was looking at.

It took her hardly five minutes to break through the firewalls when a thought entered her head. She could very well make a creepy entry by dropping in unannounced but what if Lu Xinyi's lines were traced and breaking in the connection will alert the people guarding her?

The Lu's did do that to her appointed phone when she was living in their Mansion and now that their daughter was living out of their little birdie cage, it was expected she was protected like an unhatched egg.

It wouldn't come as a surprise to her if that was the case. She shook her head decisively; no it wasn't worth the chance of getting exposed.

She composed a message instead and sent it.
