275 The Explosive Piercing
"Go to the Mansion." He commanded with a quiet domineering voice.
The driver was shocked for a second before he curtly affirmed. His Master hadn't gone to the Mansion since Miss Lu left the Mansion. It was like he was hoping she was still there and his not looking was just keeping the thought alive.
It was late so there were no servants around as he hadn't clued-up any of them that he was arriving. The Magnificient Mansion was eerily quiet as if the silence was whispering. He could feel the loneliness of the deserted place seeping into him.
He didn't know why he came here, he didn't come here often even before she shifted away. It was too big for one occupant to wander alone. He was clueless as to why he came here, maybe for a rude awakening so that he would move on from her.
Or maybe because there was the thought that she was there once and being here may highlight the times when they were together. May be being there he could relive those memories.
He was fond of her, out of all the women population whose blabbering he could bear but she was just too imaginative with her perspective of life. An idealist.
Or maybe it was just that talking to Li Yuan all but had made him want to move on with his life too.
He walked up to the stairs and stood by her door but then halted and walked away from her room to his. He was angry right now and all he wanted was to bring her here and keep her against her all demands and eccentric reasons.
He went to his room and stormed to his closet to get a change of clothes for a bath. He was rampaging through his clothes when his eyes fell on the covered canvas on the floor that he had no collection of keeping.
He bent down with a frown and picked up the canvass from the floor and brought it to his bedroom.
He tore the papers cover off it and momentarily froze at the image.
It was a painting of an…angel and a mortal. An alabaster pale angel with dark wide wings taking the half-flight, almost landing holding a hand of a mortal girl in a posture it looked he was pulling her above to him; the angel had black ripped jeans hanging low on his hips showing all his sculptured glory, the girl was wearing a white backless dress with nirvana in the background.
The girl who's only half face was visible was looking at him with a sentiment like she is in love and he had a stern expression on his face but his eyes had a look that only a man with possessiveness and obsession had.
The details of the male body were astounding like he was fantasized and leaned with all his inches present; the defined abs, broad shoulder, and low V line, the sharp jawline.
The side of the girl's face is visible and the man is standing in all his glory but that was not the subject of his astonishment. It was the face of the angel and girl and the tangible sexual tension that is almost felt.
Undoubtedly it was him and the girl was…Lu Xinyi!
He remembered it now it was the painting she had come to gift him that day when they had a fight ad he never returned back to bid her farewell.
It was signed by her. She drew it for him as a goodbye present.
He felt his heart thudded in his chest as a smirk rose on his face. The picture of him was too on point one would think when he was drawn he was present, modeling half nude.
Friends didn't see each other like that nor do friends fantasized about each other in such a sexy figure, half nude with such striking sex appeal. And she had drawn herself with him as a lover.
They looked like a couple. She had seen him out of the shower many times as no room in the Mansion was restricted to her so whenever she would find anything astounding she would hop in barging in his privacy.
She drew them like this, imagining him like this. Subconsciously she did see him as a man!
Though an artist, he never had never seen her draw anything explicit. The half portrait of Jiang Cheng too was clothed and all in all, she only drew landscape or people who are modest and with only their back in the view.
But she drew him like that…
He laid the painting on the bed and bolted out He needed to be somewhere and it wasn't here. He smirked as he slid into the driver seat and rode away...
He was going to hang this painting in his bedroom!
-----------
Li Yuan kept the receiver and smirked in a satisfied allure.
Yu Youahn just needed a little inch and now he will be gaining a mile in no time. There was something about the girl that the man was enamored about but whatever it was he was giving him a chance to flush it out of his system.
He could care less about what happens between them if that little foolish princess felt at any moment like she was being treated unfair she would be throwing a tantrum and he would know anyway. But on account, Yu Youahn hadn't been with a woman since she left and even deported back all his mistress. It showed he had plans for her.
His only goal was that the little princess is in a relationship when they will public their relationship. So he wouldn't need to shut people's mouths, after all, he couldn't keep his Raven a secret for more than a month, two months at most then the society will be ringing with gossips of their union.
His plan was working just like he needed it to. He wouldn't need to restore to such tactic if it wasn't for that nymph who wasn't ready to leave her waters.
He had a family ready for her background and his old fiance taken care of now he just needed to make sure he said 'Yes' to their impending wedding. He was impatient, he needed to bind her to him...
His phone ringed and his secretary's name flashed on it. He attended all the while walking back to the elevator.
"Is it all done?" His question wasn't short of menace that she felt at that moment. Nothing can go wrong today. Today would seal as the day of their genuine engagement, period.
Somehow in the back of his mind, he knew when Lei Xinyi agreed to an engagement, she only agreed to an engagement; marriage after the engagement wasn't in her plans.
But this idea had to be eradicated and today will do the job.
"Yes Sir. Everything is set. On your signal, we will inform the kitchen staff."
Li Yuan hung up the phone as a smirk took over his features. Somehow he knew what was waiting on the other side.
He got out of the elevator to head to his car so he can head to Lei Xinyi fast but Assistant Ji was waiting there with a file and zipper packet in his hand.
Li Yuan's expression turned dark at the sight of reports from his laboratory he recognized all too well. He indicated him to follow him in his private parking lot.
Once there he took hold of the file and went through it. With a raised brow he pursed his lips at Ji Zhou.
Ji Zhou extended the zipper bag to Li Yuan. The jewel in the packet shimmered in the low light.
Li Yuan took Lei Xinyi's 'supposed' explosive piercing from him and eyed it with a scoff.
"Sir, the piercing is tested in fourteen different environmental conditions, detected and disintegrated. The engineers testified it on prisoners. All test shows the device is only a tracker and the exploding when the body temperature of the wearer go cold is nothing but a myth."
He took a pause looking at his Master passive expression and then continued, "It is a high-functioning and monitoring tracker. The main efficiency it has on other trackers is its diminutive size and resistance to almost anything, water, fire, or any other corrosion cause no damage to its utility. And besides that, it monitors human body performance and sends signals. It consumes human heat and thus doesn't need energy charges."
Li Yaun took out the piercing. He inspected it then threw his head back burst out laughing.
She was too damn clever to comprehend. This was just a ruse like many of her faces! She wasn't suicidal, she was cynical!
The flaring rumors concerning the piercing were just lies, her away to scare away the hyenas and vultures.
He shook his head and then drove home to his one of a kind Raven, who was probably planning to play another con on him.
He was torn between being ecstatic that she was never planning to kill herself or that she was fighting him about a 10 carat Ruby when he had bought drawers filled with jewelry for her.
He had been careful in the peripheral of his mind all the time he interacted with her because he had thought she was volatile and had self-harming tendencies as it was not very uncommon for women with disturbing past to have.
And her explosive piercing had made him think so she was too.
But she wasn't in any mental crisis and was only a hoax who liked manipulating people sentiments and situations in her favor. He was oddly proud of her.
