274 Settling Fiancés

"None of your God damn business!" Li Yaun growled, suddenly more possessive than ever. "Just get the f*ck off my business and that little canary of yours get to live." 

The woman was pure evil and Li Yuan had lost her sanity to her schemes. Now because of her his little Lu Xinyi life is being jeopardized! Who had nothing to do with it all!

It was his pride in his line and Lu Xinyi's life...Yu Youhan huffed and squared his shoulder. The choice was already made but Li Yuan would pay for it, all of it!

He wouldn't put it past Li Yuan to really act on his threat and clear Lu Xinyi's card from the table. The thought alone gave birth to undecipherable hatred, fear, and rage in him.

Seeing Lu Xinyi with cold, lifeless instead of her curious, mischievous eyes could be the most haunting of the things he could imagine.

Or maybe both of those monsters wouldn't let her die but make her lose the glimmer in her enthralling eyes. No! She was precious and all her essence was precious!

He could avenge her later but the harm done to her couldn't be undone. And he couldn't keep her safe enough unless she was locked in his bedroom or was in close vicinity to him all the time which there was no way for him to do unless that included her thrashing and yelling at him or...unconscious.

He slapped his hand on his desk, "You f*cker!" He bellowed in the most menacing of his tone, "You or your dogs will not go a hundred meters of her radius."

Li Yuan chuckled as if his temper was amusing and sneered, "Good for me, I have trained my 'dogs' to take a shot from about 4 thousand meters away from small, good-for-nothing canaries."

Yu Youhan gritted his teeth as the reality of his words echoed through the walls of his pristine office. To kill Lu Xinyi and putting it under the rug was as easy as it was efficient and resourceful as killing a mosquito and covering your track for his forces.

Being the Underworld Lord for almost a decade now had given an already cunning and vicious man like Li Yuan many tricks and contacts to not even have to blurt a name for the corpse to be on the next day's news with no mention of the offender ever.

Clenching his jaw and fisting his palm for a while had him come to a statement, "You don't want to make an enemy out of me!" It was a threat that if harm was to come to Lu Xinyi their alliance was off. All relations and bonds could be flushed down the sink for all they were worth.

It was true they were the two powerhouses in the city one that trailed the aquatic, the other that roamed the terrain. There was no denying the collision could only cause immense destruction and lack of evaluation.

First off their families will hold prejudice in the already weak bond between them because of the illegitimate children in both households.

They could both pull all their string and in the end, whoever would win wouldn't even matter as they would have caused enough damage to cause them generations' worth of wealth and resources not to mention the collision of power crises.

Li Yuan hazardously chuckled from the other end, "So do you."

It was a mutual understanding. Though they never really had a hand in hand relation, despite staggering equilibrium it was obvious both men knew not to make an enemy out of the other.

It was best if they weren't standing against each other despite all their hostilities.

After a while of mutual silence, Yu Youhan broke the ice in a booming voice, "That 'woman' of yours has something of mine…"

Li Yuan chuckled from the other side. If only she did…

He had all the plans to give it back to his cousin but not like this. Not now. Yu Youhan must be the last person to release the grudge he had on her.

Right now Yu Youhan despising her was the main ingredient in his recipe for the portion of love he was making for his little fierce Raven.

But with that, he had to make sure that Yu Youhan wouldn't recklessly cause damage to her but…this call would sure do it.

It would secure Lei Xinyi's security, it will buy him enough time to let Lei Xinyi get used to him in her life. This much that he will be a habit, a pilar in the pyramid of her life, to the point there was no way for her to leave him.

Along with all of it he was planning to get that contracted fiancé of him off his back. And what better way could be than to deliver her to her lovers' door?!

"I will get that past-corroded bangle for you." He replied in a bored nonchalant tone. Like it was really not a bother to him at all, like it was all covered.

Yu Youhan raked his brains at what his cousin had going on in his head. He couldn't possibly have the heirloom but if that witch was with him… he could.

But it was more than just an opportunity. If they were getting back together while Lu Xinyi was in the way, they would cause a great amount of damage, mentally and emotionally if not physically.

The girl was naïve and innocent but a woman like Lei Xinyi would spare no canons when humiliating her because of her past nuptial plans with Li Yuan.

And Li Yuan would probably encourage her to get a kick out of it, which was unfair to a precious little pure heart like hers. 

Lei Xinyi and Li Yuan were both cruel in their handling of people in their way. No! He couldn't let Lu Xinyi face their hostility and become an example for others!

In the society of the women, he wouldn't be able to protect her as it was only woman that was in there. Nor he could keep her away from it all, she was a pesky, curious creature.

For the first time, he cursed not having a sister to do her wing woman job.

With a newfound resolved Yu Youhan continued, "Not enough, that woman had caused me more trouble than this…"

"I know, I know." Li Yuan lazily drawled. He could practically hear his cousin thinking out loud.

If Lei Xinyi wanted to play with the girl he wouldn't deny her but in his personal opinion the little girl was annoying, childish and a headache so he would want nothing but for her to stay away from him. Especially, when she had Lei Xinyi's face and acted like a damn brat! 

He sighed as if the request to him was a nuisance in itself, "You want me to compensate you? So I free that little canary of yours so you might want to shift her to one of your villas. Big Lu has offered me something far more useful and...less hideous."

Yu Youhan wanted to give him the string of curses for what he had said about her insinuating she was his next wh*re but Li Yuan hung up.

He looked at the dark screen with narrowed eyes but a satisfying curved of his lips soon. Finally, she wasn't a fiancé to him anymore which meant she was single and…available.

But a thought stripped his smirk off his face. He had shunned her for weeks not responding to her messages, calls, or even not bothering when she showed up on his door.

She wouldn't forgive him for hurting her and…she had clearly said she didn't see him as a love interest. His face marred in another set of gloom and rage. He was suddenly too tired to sit in his office and pretend everything was okay and dandy.

He decided to race to his condominium where he was living. He left the building at once. His driver drove with speed. From time to time he saw his formidable Boss back from the mirror.

He had his head thrown back resting, he looked tired in his stance like he was tensed and stressed.

Usually, his Master would have gone to release the pent-up frustration but since he had let those Mistresses go and the little pixie left he had been this way. He almost pitied him.

"Young Master Yu, we are here." He said to get his attention.

Yu Youhan opened his eyes gazing at the ceiling, in thought but made no effort to get out.

"Go to the Mansion."
