264 Exorcising Li Yuan

There was a small buffet in the middle of both love seats. It was evident they weren't expecting to be interrupted. There were different types of drinks, alcohol, and non-alcohol beverages on the table with spare glasses, though none of them were drinking.

Lu Xinyi wasn't a drinker, Lei Xinyi was still on medication to enhance her health which forbade the usage of alcoholic beverages and after her suicide attempt, Su Qing wasn't very keen on drinking till some months or so.

They had decided to not go to their shopping fest instead they were getting cozy sharing stories or rather listening to Lu Xinyi who shared her 'Chronicles of her Satanic ex'.

As compensation for today, they had booked a spa appointment for the coming weekend. Su Qing was taking a new assignment and was going to be busy the whole week, Lu Xinyi had deadlines to catch and well... Lei Xinyi had to find a way to rake her inheritance from her adopted father without actually coming across him…

Tough riddance…

Lu Xinyi was pretty much a very introvert and shy person who talked with numbered words and measured tones but this was till she was on a formal third introductory sentence and then like a motor car, she would go on and on yipping, yapping about anything to everything.

Between them she was the one who was doing all the talking, Lei Xinyi and Su Qing were like decorative wallflowers just working as background in her animated stories giving the occasional Oooh's and Aaah's.

"My ex-fiancé, Li Yuan is an evil creature…"

Su Qing and Lei Xinyi both choked on their drinks. After both got hold of their breaths, they looked at her in bewilderment. They had heard several descriptions of him but this was…improvised...unique. 

They looked at each other than the hidden camera they had found in the room, they both passed each other smirks, they were fewer chances he was going to see this but it would be a day if he did.

For almost half an hour they had been hearing Lu Xinyi black-listed people and Li Yan topped the list with a red underline, can't say they weren't entertained. She was just too…vivacious and vibrant in her explanations.

With her wide, adorable eyes, she would describe everything with so much animation and substance you can't help but be amused. At once, Lei Xinyi knew she was an innocent, cute little girl at heart who was too isolated to have bloomed into a woman.

Lei Xinyi's assumption was laced with her own thick, toxic, grey-experience. Her life was a little congested for a bird of her feathers. She needed the breeze in her feathers, the rush of counter winds, and the adrenaline of the alleviation from the ground.

Her heart swelled at the thought of Lu Xinyi being on the pinnacle looking down at the brick-cages below that can't hold her spirits in them. She was just like an untainted, unbroken, and unsoiled version of herself.

Lei Xinyi smiled in her napkin while dabbing it, she was protective of the little pixie there and her unique thought process.

Lu Xinyi saw their comical reaction and her face turned serious and her brows frowned, "…I can swear on it! He drinks the blood of young virgins and then feasts on their flesh, my brother once told me he did this kind of business where he made people disappear and I figured it quickly... If I am going to spray him with holy water he is going to go poof! He is just too evil!"

Lei Xinyi and Su Qing both burst out laughing then coughed hard to cover their laughs. They had to say this was a unique version of defining violence. 

Su Qing refilled her glass with the Strawberry Limeade and then curiously asked, masking her amusement, "Oh, how did you come to this conclusion?"

Lu Xinyi gave her head a nod with a determined set jaw and spoke with a steeled resolve that looked too cute to be malicious. "He is wicked, conceited, and a satanic preacher! On my eighteenth Birthday after the party, he ran into me resulting in me stumbling and falling in the fountain. And you wouldn't believe he said it was my fault! He even blamed and claimed that he didn't see me there because I am short!"

"…That's evil!" Su Qing nodded her head hesitantly with a face of uncertain amusement as if the mysteries of the universe were being revealed to her.

Lei Xinyi snorted and rolled her eyes, serving herself Panna cotta. She didn't give a damn she was serving herself desert before the actual meal. 

Lu Xinyi sure disliked Li Yuan with a passion and she spread the tales of his vileness as one believer would preach his faith, not that he didn't give people enough reason to. 

He made sure after meeting him you had all the reason to plot his 'accidental' fall of his corporate building but couldn't do a thing about it, just burn with all the stocked up rage till it burst out.

Lu Xinyi sniffed and pursed her lips firmly then glared hard at the table, probably seeing his face there, "I know, right! He didn't stop there with his wickedly devised schemes, he ran into me twice more, once I fell over the senator's wife who was ready to murder me and another time I crashed to the table and his Grandmother's Birthday huge cake toppled to the ground since then she would give me this mean sting eye! He even called me vile names: squirrel, chipmunk, and chihuahua!" 

SuQing's eyes opened up to be enlarged like saucers dramatically and her mouth formed an 'O', "Epitome of evil! This is vile!" She cried out in fake-rage.

"But that's not it! Both of these times he said it was my fault because I was too short and should hold an adult's hand or I would get run over by someone! He had too many girlfriends too and he always tried to annoy me! He is a monster!"

Su Qing's face contoured in several comical expressions before she set on grinning like a maniac and gave Li Xinyi a pointed look, "I bet she would second that!"

"As if!" she whispered under her breath and couldn't help snorting.

Lu Xinyi gave Lei Xinyi a narrowed eye look but then shrugged and continued her munching on her semi-frozen Granita, she pointed her fork at them to make a pointer, "Hmm…But then I just assumed he was a person of a horrible upbringing and a spoilt brat…" Lei Xinyi felt tear pricked her eyes trying to keep herself from laughing out like a maniac. Horrible upbringing! Spoilt Brat! He should really hear his this anti-fan.

"…but then I saw the evil glint in his eyes and how he would throw his back and laugh in all the wickedness and then I knew it right away!"

Lei Xinyi and Su Qing both burst out laughing, Su Qing even spits her drink. Lu Xinyi looked puzzled between the two to think whatever inside joke was that she missed and then started laughing too, unconvinced, thinking she didn't get the memo.

Lei Xinyi passed several spare napkins to Su Qing, dabbed her own face to reign in her crazier thoughts. If it was up to Lu Xinyi, she would sure exorcist Li Yuan any day now.

She flopped her hairs back and turned her face to Lu Xinyi and asked the question burning with curiosity in her, "Is that why you ran away?"

She quietened at once and her eyes fell in her lap, she played with her fingers for minutes in silence contemplating her thoughts. She sighed and all her spirits huffed out of her, her voice only but a whisper, "My friend told me all about him and how my life was going to be as a trophy wife. I didn't want that life…"

Poor, naïve Lu Xinyi didn't even notice that it wasn't common knowledge that she ran away. Lei Xinyi tsked. The girl was adolescent, inexperienced, and foolish. She sure was a protected child.

No wonder in her world all the evil came from devil pawns and demons. A girl like her wouldn't survive in the elite society a day before she would go berserk in a crying hysteria.

"…I didn't intend to run. I went to talk to Dad to annul the engagement because I didn't want that... but he refused. I was upset, everything was like closing in on me and I felt suffocated and drained. I wanted to get away, to breathe…"

She took a pause and sniffed, Lei Xinyi could see her eyes filling with unshed tears, "From then everything is fuzzy, I felt overwhelmed and my head was spinning but I was too depressed to care. I don't remember anything clearly which maybe because of my amnesia. And then I met Yu Youhan. He saved me when my car crashed on his property."

She pouted and her cheeks tinted with the heat of her emotions, her tears fell seconds before her voice cracked, "He was…is my true best friend."
