240 Predictable Moves

"Baby, does my touch bother you?" Lei Xinyi felt his breath fan her bare neck and bit her lip to stop further shuddering.

He was the same but there was something edgy to him, like something maddening, tempting. Too intense...with his motion and stare.

She knew she was treading on dangerous waters but this was like she was drowning in awareness. Her body was heating and his presence was doing wicked things to her fragile famine heart.

Steeling her womanhood, she looked up, glared right in his eyes. He wanted a war she would f*king give him one! She smiled sweetly and bit out, "No Honey, I hardly notice you around!"

Everyone who heard her in the dining hall talking to their fierce Boss like that felt shocked to the core. The girl was either a bold fool or simply out of luck to have her tongue slipped in front of their Master.

Not a second later their shock amplified when they heard a foreign sound of Li Yuan's laughter. They hadn't heard his carefree laughter in a long time but then again they had never seen their Boss in a brawl with a woman in Bedroom too.

Lei Xinyi bristled at the mock, scoffed and prepared to leap out, but just when she was about ready to bolt out of embarrassment, the maid finally returned with the pen and notebook. 

Lei Xinyi hurriedly leaped to grab it and started scribbling something in apprehension all the while ignoring his stare ringing on her skin. He was claiming his dominance on her body and he wasn't even doing anything to do so. It was something so primal that she wanted to rebuke to all his magnitude.

She mumbled in a busy, tone her pen not stopping for once, "I will need your medical history and your close relatives too. Arrange these things; I will have to give you a full body checkup. Then I will have to monitor your heart rate, sugar level, and blood pressure till a week, empty stomach, after breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

She passed the list to Li Yuan. Her writing was hardly decipherable but then again people didn't know her for Penmanship. He saw the page filled with names of medical machinery and some chemical names he didn't understand. 

"We have to run some laboratory tests too then I will make you a healthy diet plan," She mumbled in her mouth about ready to leave, "And yes, limit your alcohol consumption, practice abstinence. You are a few weeks away from being an alcoholic." 

He passed the list to his Butler and faced her again. She had gotten free not a whole 24 hours and was standing to run from the room in hurry away from him.

She hadn't taken even two steps when the door to the dining hall was opened and a running guard rushed in almost out of breath.

"Young Master Li," His eyes flicker to Lei Xinyi momentarily in apprehension, "We…we have a situation."

Lei Xinyi's ears perked like Li Yuan's, like the predator they were their eyes met and then turned to the intruder.

"How ironic, my first day here and a 'situation' arises!" She rolled her eyes and walked with elegance to the man, well aware of Li Yuan whose footsteps had followed her.

All her previous contemplation and shyness evaporated in the air and her sass returned ten-fold.

"What is it?" Li Yuan reached her and pulled her close to him by draping his arm around her waist. She turned to him to give him a dirty look and scoffed before training her eyes on the matter at hand.

The man looked between Lei Xinyi and his Boss in conflict and Li Yuan knew in the instant that he wasn't liking whatever the man wanted to say in front of Lei Xinyi.

He looked at Lei Xinyi and understood his man hesitation but he wasn't the only one who caught on it, Lei Xinyi too did. The way she was glaring at him was enough to testify for the nirvana brewing in her but what should he do to…

"So when will the stage be set?" Growing impatient Lei Xinyi snapped.

"What?" Both the men head turned to her in confusion only to see her roll her eyes sassily.

Lei Xinyi humorlessly chuckled and rolled her eyes, "Come on, and arrange a stage and arena so the great highness could grace us by announcing whatever he had come in barging in like a headless chicken for!"

The sarcasm wasn't missed by any soul in the room. She kept tapping her foot impatiently, all the while glaring at Li Yuan, a clear indication of what she was anticipating.

There was a mocking gleam in her eyes taunting him of calling them a team when he was keeping things from her. He contemplated for a while then probed his chin in the air to indicate for the man to continue.

'Bad comes to worst, how bad could it be?' He thought and relaxed.

The man was shocked out of his wits. He was in the retreating Team that brought her here and he had seen how his Master was a puny in her pocket. And she wasn't liking it and as a messenger what would did it mean for him...

The woman looked like the exact replica of their Master's fiancé, the same features but she wasn't that girl which made the turn of events even more juvenile.

He sweated profusely and cleared his throat before grudgingly showing his tablet to his Boss and his little personal inferno, "Sir…this…"

On the screen was the live video playing of the commotion outside the Mansion caused by two hoodie-covered figures that were throwing water balloons on his Mansion's gate and shouting profanities.

Lei Xinyi gasped and snatched the Tablet from the man looking at the scene with horror. 

The armed forces had their guns pointed at them in an act to intimidate them but they were shouting incomprehensible profanities and then at once something was shot in their neck and they went still then dropped to the floor, still. Paralyzed.

Lei Xiinyi hand went to her chest in sheer dismay. Her sheer terror made her turn to Li Yuan in lividness, who was looking at her in a blank stare before he tried to take the tablet from her.

But Lei Xinyi threw it on the black marble floor and turned to him with ferocity of a wounded beast.

"What is the meaning of this?" Her voice was a whisper, filled all the suppressed hurt and rage, suspended.

She wanted to spill blood and her bloodlust was dynamic despite her eased posture. The man took a step backward and the staff became alerted by the charged air.

Li Yuan stared at her comprehending the situation, looking for a loop to manipulate it and then turned to the man with feigned anger, in a menacingly voice he demanded, "What is the meaning of this?!"

It was rhetorical and his easy expression was daring the man to stay something against his rations. He had ordered them to make sure that the boy wasn't allowed to come in the perimeter of the area. He wasn't skinning that brat was more than mercy!

The last time that little punk entered he hacked Li Yuan's world class system, sitting in front of him and he only found about it an hour later.

But his dear Raven wouldn't hear even a word against her little brother and would condemn him instead.

The man at once realized the blunder he had done on his life and at once tried to cover, "Sir…it's a protocol, the security threats…"

But Lei Xinyi was already done with the Bullsh*t and pushed the man aside and strode on the hallway to her, "How predictable!" She exclaimed sarcastically knowing he heard her.

Li Yuan followed her and tried to take hold of her waist when she pushed him with a warning in her eyes, elaborating that she was at the end of her wits, "Sweetheart, this…"

Lei Xinyi cut him off, not slowing down and parading down the halls and hallways, "Save it!" She took the right passage and got out by the backdoor he brought her in last night from. 

Li Yuan took notice of it of course, his place was big that you could get lost and she was prancing around with the familiarity like muscle memory. Not once halting or mulling.

She was far more sharper and conscious than she let on.

"You are un-f*cking-believable! You ordered your Hellhounds to do this my little feeble, faint hearted brother!"

Li Yuan shook his head and cursed under his breath but followed her along with the intention to strangle her last of relatives, 'Fucking Jinx!'

How predictable of the devil hounds to come prancing in when he had finally gotten somewhere in assessment of his and Lei Xinyi's relation.
