She went closer to the mannequin adorning striking cerulean gown and found something off…when she was face to face with it she frowned taking in all the details and her eyes widened in disbelief.

The mannequins in the wardrobe were of the same height, ass and breast size as her, main purpose of them being that she didn't need to try all the dresses to see how they looked on her because as the mannequin were her replication.

Thoughtful but embarrassing! She felt her cheeks tinting. "Now was this really necessary!" she muttered.

It was like she had walked in a clothing store but she knew all these were handpicked by Alex, her assigned designer. Just as her cosmetics and these mannequins.

And without a speck of doubt this must have cost Li Yuan Millions and one look around she could tell all her dresses from the old villa were replaced by new ones. She rubbed her head at the brand new headache.

"Any thing that caught your eye, Sweetheart." Lei Xinyi jumped at the sudden voice only to see Li Yuan standing behind looking pleased with himself.

She rolled her eyes and decided to confront the elephant head on, "This all…You bought them this season?"

Li Yuan smirked in pride, "Sweetheart, all of these are leading international custom-made exclusive designs of your favorite brands. Why would I let you wear something seasonal that any other woman can buy? Your wardrobe is updated every month."

There were about more or less eighty dresses on display not to mention the one in the drawers. For f*ck sake, you don't even have this many days in a month!

Lei Xinyi ran a hand over her face and muttered under her breath, "No wonder his Mother and Grandmother wants to claw my eyes out and his staff treats me like I am some serpent that is noshing on their Boss's meat!"

Li Yuan frowned looking at her expression, he was expecting her to jump from glee and maybe give him another make-out session as reward but this wasn't something he was pleased with. Was it that she didn't like them?

"You don't like it? We can always change it, I can call for your designer or… we can change your designer too."

Lei Xinyi turned to him and glared at him with the intensity that would probably drill holes if she persisted. Was he purposely trying to get her killed?! Didn't he know how vengeful his Mother and Grandmother are, they would eat her flesh raw if they get an air of the money he was spending on her!

No matter how she tried to stay out of trouble, it followed her like toilet paper caught up on wet shoes!

She shook her head and took a calming breath then held him by his hand and tugged him to the shoe testing lounge, they sat on the soft seats.

Lei Xinyi pursed her lips, "What is the meaning of this?! Do I look like I am your Mistress?"

"…Oh?" He raised a brow questioningly. Since when had he treated her as such?!

It hadn't been even ten hours of them being together and he had held a man down so she could beat him up, he had even let her rough him up with punches and then reprimanded his life-long staff for making her uncomfortable because she was harassing them!

Now in what world did they treat Mistresses like that?! He was f*cking treating her like his Queen!

Looking at his suppressed temper Lei Xinyi demanded hurriedly, "Where all those untouched 'outdated' dresses, shoes, accessories go when you decided to 'update' this wardrobe?"

Li Yuan narrowed his eye at her, "Charity."

He ran many charity programs in the country and her wardrobe had made dowry for many lower-class maidens and many things were auctioned off to benefit orphanages and old houses. They were all exclusive one-pieces in the world by leading designers from across the world so the charities really benefitted from all that.

There was no way he would ever throw or sell a thing he brought for his Raven. There was no price for a thing that was hers and how can a priceless gem, be thrown.

Lei Xinyi pursed her lips at a loss of words to helplessness. She shook her head to clear her head and pointed her forefinger at him, "Listen, somethings are about to change here! You want to be Robbinhood? Be so on your own accord but don't drag my name in the mire! You don't get me a thing, I am not handicapped nor am I dirt-poor!"

Li Yuan rolled his eyes at her meaningless outburst, women would sell their organs just to get even one of these dresses. They were going to be married anyway so it was only sensible that he takes his duties seriously now to show his sincerity.

When she was living in his roof, how could he let her have anything less than the finest, rarest, and most pricey?

"What's up with you and being difficult about every damn thing?! Sweetheart, it's part of the deal; you take care of me and I take care of you."

He was making it sound like they had recited their nuptials and she was his wife! 

"You! You!" Lei Xinyi gritted her teeth in indignation. It was hard to comprehend if he wasn't getting it or was deliberately spinning her in circles. His Mother and Grandmother would mutilate her body for taking advantage of a committed man!

She felt like pulling her hairs out, "Okay! But you will not meddle in my consultant and my business; same with everything you feel is a liability concerning me."

This way she could at least limit the purchases and not make him go overboard with the purchases. It was absolutely a heaven that he was taking care of everything but this was a disaster that he was indirectly making her his family's target.

Li Yuan squinted his eyes and nodded, "Instead, I have a better plan. Why not we share concerns and liabilities? We are a team after all."

This was some tacky road ahead but this was a take it or leave it bargain, Thinking it over Lei Xinyi nodded, more and more it will be him tagging along when she does all the shopping so there was no problem with that... Only she missed his smirk at that time.

She huffed and decided to pick a random dress with underwear to go to bath before she had to deal with another overbearing issue. It was like all these months she had been in house-arrest the world had turned into live circus. 

And this strange obsession she had with her soon-to-be employer accompanied with his scandalous interest in babying her was another level of craze!

She was going to murder someone in any day now, once she finds an adequate place to dump the body!

After a warm bath to relax her aching muscles she felt like she was euphoric. She had done a number on the guy and now guilt was gnawing her… just a little. So as her first duty on her job she decided to make sure he was all patched up before the office day.

She looked at the mirror where her adorned self was facing her. She had chosen a beige halter dress to compliment her pale and flushed skin. Behind her the maids were cleaning up the mess they had made of the room.

Her hand smothered the dress in deep thought. Was Li Yuan interested in her because he thought she was likely to be the next rightful heir? Or did it really matter to her? No, it didn't. 

She was a person who lived every day as it came and a distraction from her sh*tty life was always welcome.

She eyed all the untouched cosmetics then her face, somehow they were spared from her wrath.

Her face was pale and cheeks flushed. Her lips had the scarlet hue in comparison to her cat-like eyes. Once in a while, she would find a maid freeze and stare at her. Not that it bothered her, she was used to it by now that even it didn't make her feel good about herself.

She twisted the mate gloss in her hand before dropping it on the vanity table. She wasn't painting her face, she liked it bare better.

Strapping her nude heels she stood up to go to the dining hall for breakfast. Call it fashionable late but she really deserved that bath after the whirlwind day she was having.

She walked up in the dining hall and the maid opened the door for her. Li Yuan was sitting on the head of the table doing something on his phone.

He looked up at the sound of her heels clicking and smirked, "You look stunning, my love."

Lei Xinyi returned his smirk and starkly retorted, "Oh? And here I thought it was you who was rocking hearts here."

"Did I make you wait?" She said in an unapologetic voice.

Li Yaun shrugged, "No, you are just in time. I arrived right now too."

The Butler beside him bit his tongue. The first Breakfast was thrown because it had cooled down and his Young Master had been sitting here waiting for her since last 25 minutes.

But he knew to keep his silence that will go with him to his grave after all he didn't want to make her 'uncomfortable or unwelcomed' as his Young Master had ordered all staff to.

Little did his Young Master know that only her mere presence could make them feel unwelcomed in a place they had worked even before she was born.
