226 Chit Cha

Li Yuan alerted his men to keep a close eye on the building exit routes, least she tried anything. The girl was a free spirit and wanted to get rid of him which was not a possibility in her near future.

A smile appeared on his face, all his worries evaporated and his heart was finally put to rest. He was feeling like everything gloomy in his life was turned to blooms, her appearance just made it better.

His body was charged with a fuse of immortality, like he was invincible in the moment, a moment where his Queen was beside him.

It was like he was living a dream but Lei Xinyi clutching his arm in a death grip earlier would have woken him and no he wasn't dreaming. 

She was there, just a door away from him. Soon she will go with him...

She was but a slippery mermaid and this time he will be sure to hold her tight in his clutches so she wasn't going anywhere. But no, forcing her wasn't the way to do it, if he forced her, like a slippery Mermaid she would slip from his hold. He would have to convince her to dive in his waters willingly.

He observed the small apartment: though the exterior of the place was resembling a Haunted Building, in the inside of the apartment, everything was well-kept and organised except the small area of TV lounge indicating Lei Xinyi was sitting here previously. 

There were wrappers of all kinds of sweet snacks around which could definitely justify the plumness in her body. She was still as thin as a stick but now it seemed she had gained some meat on her bones. Her belly was flat but her thighs, arms and cheeks were plum, the swell of her breast looked even more rounder.

It was like a good bed-rest had done her good.

But it didn't matter to him he would want her in any shape or nature she would come.

He sat on the sofa she was previously sitting on and that was when his eyes landed on the screen, he at once jerked forward.

He was shocked would be an understatement. The movie was on pause and there was a woman positioned missionary cowgirl style on a naked man, her head turned up in the throes of passion.

What the hell was she watching?!

Was his little Raven into things like that? He could feel his throat parching at the thought of Lei Xinyi being on top of him. He liked dominating but he could make an exception if it was his little Raven's fantasy...

Lei Xinyi decided that moment to show up, she was rather annoyed. And swinging her supporting stick in the air that obvious she didn't need it, and stomping her feet. She looked up at Li Yuan who had a smug expression on his face all his evident exhaustion from a while ago was history.

Li Yuan smirked in her direction, "You seem to be 'enjoying' your stay here."

Lei Xinyi looked at him confused but then her face turned to the TV screen, he was pointing at. Her eyes widened and her face contoured in embarrassment before she sharply turned to him, like she wasn't affected and nonchalantly shrugged, "I was, until you decided to show up."

As she was expecting Qin Shu she hadn't bothered to turn the screen off. She wasn't really watching p*rn or something. It was just a fleeting scene in a Hollywood movie but...this was embarrassing, none the less. He didn't need to know that anyway!

Plopping down on the sofa beside, she took hold of the remote and switched the movie to a rather sappy romantic movie.

She looked behind him to see his other minion, Ji Zhou had joined the party but there was no soul in sight. She bit her lower lip and grimaced.

The man beside her must have bent a lot of maybe's to reach to her location so of course, he wasn't here to make small talk. There was no way she was going to make it out by fist so she decided to talk it all out.

She paused the movie and turned to him serious, "So what now? You are going to chop me in pieces and feed to dogs? Or you are rather creative and are going to mince my meat and feed different animals like, vultures, hyena, other scavengers or are you planning to do fishing with my meat...?"

Li Yuan looked at her moving luscious lips then burst out laughing. She wasn't this cool as Lu Xinyi when she was pretending to be her, she would rather act reserved and prim.

"Shut up, Sweetheart!"

He at once took hold other delicate jaw and brought his lips to her. He moved his lips on her while she stared at him wide-eyed. She tasted like chocolates that were probably in her belly. 

After the initial shock, Lei Xinyi pushed him away and Li Yuan let her. To him, it was nothing sort of a miracle that his lips made contact with hers and she didn't fade as she did in his dreams.

"Stop it! You pervert!" Lei Xinyi glared at him and pointed her sharp nail on his chest, "I just told you I am not your fiance!"

After for sulking for a few seconds all the while, Li Yuan looked at her breathing pattern in fascination, she turned sharply to him, "Why are you here?"

She just realized there was no cordial or jovial way to phrase it. Better was to lay it out in the open.

If she wanted to turn the events to her favour, she needed to know of her compromises in it.

To Li Yuan, she looked like a little forest bird singing to him, her voice was melodious. At the moment he realized how her full, luscious lips were set in a scowl and her cat-like enthralling pair of abyss narrowed to her severity in the matter.

She was trying to look threatening but he could only see a little cute monkey-eating eagle flapping her little wings to look adorable to gain his attention.

Li Yuan smirked at her forwardness and asked instead, "Are you held here against your will?"

His voice was as deep and magnetic as she remembered but it was hoarse with a hint of baritone too. Lei Xinyi leaned a little forward and sniffed. Then she rolled her eyes, the man smelt like expensive wine. His mouth did taste like that too...

She would really have given him a french kiss to have a taste but she was on medications that prohibited alcohol. Lei Xinyi swept her gaze at him, he was still 

He really was curious. The setting said that she was quite comfortable for a hostage or abducted individual but he knew this about the hot-headed woman in front of him that she really didn't like staying in one place for too long.

He learnt it the hard way...

Lei Xinyi narrowed her eyes, So he wanted to play it like that? So be it! "How did you know where to look?"

If she wasn't getting an answer, he wasn't getting any too!

Li Yuan frowned his brows annoyed at not getting the answer to his question, "That was not the answer to my question!"

Lei Xinyi rolled her eyes and scoffed in exasperation, "Neither was yours but I compromised. Didn't I?" 

She turned to him serious, "Listen, if you are here because I hurt your ego by conning you, know it: I wasn't the one who asked for the role! I didn't even plan it, it just happened!"

"It was Master Lu who picked me from the streets and dragged me to this. He thought I was his runaway daughter. I did try to tell him but he wouldn't listen. I just needed a place to be until the shipment suitable for my departure was ready. You...You just happened!"

Her deep illustration could be summarized into four simple decoded words, 'What did he want now? And if he wanted to retaliate, she wasn't the person he should aim his cannons at!'

That was the exact question, he could pay millions to be answered if only...she was the one answering.

He looked at her blankly, couldn't she tell what he wanted or she didn't want to think, it was what he had wanted? Her serious gaze on him told him exactly what he was dreading to know.

It should have been obvious: if he was throwing her to his dungeon, why would he bother having this chit chat? She lived all her life in Underworld and didn't know how the King Of the Underworld treated his Offenders?!

He gave her a smile none the less, it didn't discourage him. He would rather prefer she was taken by a storm when she is in too deep to withdraw, "I am not here for revenge, I rather prefer matters to be solved cordially."
