220 Su Qianwei's Confession

Su Qainwei reached her house in the middle of the night. She didn't use the front entrance instead she entered from the backdoor. It was just a habit that she had picked like looking over her shoulder as she walked.

Being a Lei did that to you since she had landed in this life she had always feared, every moment was spent thinking of the inevitable, her death.

Even as delusional as she was she knew that she was no competition against any other heir, they were vicious and killing machines from crime families. If it wasn't for Yu Wang change of heart she would have been dead.

She knew she was going to be put out to rest once the game proceeded. Her days were numbered but she wanted to live those numbered in bliss. With Li Yuan.

It was selfish of her but people with limited life often turned out to be selfish...He could be with anyone after she was put to rest but just give her the happiness, she desired till she is alive, even he was lying it.

Was it too much to ask? It wasn't...

She entered her room and looked at the mirror. She officially looked like a phoenix on fire. all messed.

She was tired but more restless, she had to tell Li Yuan. He was looking for Lei Xinyi and if she was out there, it was inevitable, he will discover her whereabouts.

She wanted to give him space but he had already enough for the last three months. If she didn't confess now and Li Yuan finds 'her'... and then the problem with Yu Wang.

She rushed to her bathroom and took a long bath, she cleaned and cleared herself. She was going to confess to him and if things accelerated, Su Qianwei smiled bashfully and blushed.

Li Yuan...finally.

She walked in her walk-in closet and went to the excluded corner from all the other clothes. A black lace knee-length dress was pridefully draped on a mannequin.

She had bought this overly expensive dress for this very day. She smiled at it shyly and held it with shaking hands. 

She selected crimson red lacy lingerie. She wore it with red stilettos. she wore the ruby necklace he had gifted her on her last Birthday and then...the engagement ring. The engagement ring that she wore on his name.

When Li Yuan had said it meant nothing, she knew in her heart that it meant everything to her.

She held it tenderly in her hands. It was a ruby that was pridefully etched on it, he got it because she loved rubies.

She was young when he gave it to her so it didn't fit in her ring-finger anymore, she could have adjusted it but it was given by him. She would never alter its constitution and take his touch away.

Li Yuan had told her not to wear it after they had dissolved the engagement. She didn't, but that day when Lei Xinyi was selecting the wedding dress she couldn't help it.

Lei Xinyi was selecting the dress for Li Yuan, for a wedding to him... She wanted to show her a claim on him, even if it was an invalid ring.

She kept it back on the vanity table, she will get a new ring tonight, one that will fit her forever. She did her make-up and drove to his Mansion.

It was late at night but she couldn't stay away from him even if it was for a second more...

She gave her identification and unlike other days, they allowed her inside, she was told to wait on the threshold. 

it was cold but she was feeling warm inside, she smiled and bit her lip, Did he...Did he move on...? Was it why he was ready to meet her?

Li Yuan came out about 15 minutes later, still impeccably dressed as usual. His hairs were ruffled and his features looked tired.

He noticed her over the top dressing but didn't comment. She mostly did that but today she looked rather sensual...

"Su Qainwei!" His voice echoed his surprise more clearer then the frown etched on his forehead, "Why are you here in the middle of the night? Is everything alright?"

Su Qainwei licked her lip to smoothen her speech hesitancy but then shook her head, her smile not leaving her face, "No, nothing's wrong." She looked at the ground needing enough space to be able to get her next words out.

"Instead... I have come to make a confession." she looked up expecting all kind of emotions but what she saw was a satisfied smile on his face and the frown was history by now.

Li Yaun sighed in relief and held her hand to pull her inside, "Very well then come in. I have been waiting for a confession too."

Though her words didn't surprise him, his words sure shocked her to astonishment. Su Qainwei stopped and looked in his eyes to see the truth in his words.

She couldn't be any more grateful to how this was playing out. Had he known about her feelings all along and was waiting for her to confess first? Di...Did he also reciprocate them?

Her eyes were shimmering with her happiness as her hold on his hand tightened, She gazed deeply into his dark pair of the abyss and whispered, "Have you been?"

Li Yuan frown deepened again and he wiped her tear that fell. He declared with nothing but truth cushioning his every word, "Yes, I have been since I have known and nothing makes me happier than your confession."

Su Qianwei smiled all her ecstasy and held his hand tightly like if she was a little careless he would slip from her hold and this would turn out to be another brutal sweet dream.

Her heart was beating loud like celebrating the salvation of her lifelong longing, but she wanted him to say it back to her. After tonight she wanted him and only her, no other woman that he was looking for.

"Li Yuan, have you always known that I have loved you?" Su Qianwei whispered as if another soul heard, this would turn out to be a jinx.

Li Yuan tried to slip his hand out of her hands that were clutching his but Su Qainwei wasn't letting it go. He didn't want to jerk her away so he let her hold onto his hand that she had placed on her chest.

Li Yuan sighed and shook his head, It wasn't what he was here for, he wanted a confession of what she hid and a statement that she had never betrayed him, "Weiwei, I know that you love me and you know I love you. So why not we get to what you are here to talk about?"

I love you...

Su Qainwei brain registered the only words she wanted to hear and her ecstasy sky-rocketed, "Yo...You love me?" Shre repeated with hope and hesitancy.

Li Yuan was irked but none the less nodded, "Of course! Weiwei, I do love you."

Su Qainwei sighed in contentment and stood on her tiptoes and sealed his lips with hers but before she could move her lips, Li Yuan held her by her shoulders and threw her on the opposite wall.

"What the f*ck, Su Qianwei! Are you drunk or something?! What were you f*cking trying to do?!" Li Yuan ablaze eyes glared at her in disbelief while his mouth that was set in a frown snarled.

Su Qianwei, who was thrown at the wall with a force couldn't register any physical wounds beyond her emotional injuries. Mortification burned her Phoenix eyes while her face displayed her hurt.

She tried to still reach out to hold his arm when he jerked away as her touch disgusted him. Her hurt wasn't a decipherable entity, it was evident in her delicate features.

Su Qainwei tried to swallow the suspended lump in her throat and croaked out, "Bu..But you said, yo...you love me."

Li Yuan glared at her with despise for destroying the relationship they shared, the unbreakable bond of friendship they had. 

He shook his head in disbelief and ran a hand through his hairs in frustration. Su Qainwei tried to reach him again but he held his hand up, stopping her in her tracks.

He sighed and looked at her in the eye, "Su Qianwei, didn't I make it clear when we were in a faux engagement?!" He did but she couldn't tell that to her heart!

"Have I ever given you any sign that said, I wanted more than a friend out of you?"

Su Qainwei...he wasn't calling her Weiwei anymore or maybe he was calling her Weiwei...no more.

"Yuan, please I...I..."

"Have I?" His voice was stern soaking all his rage in a hiss.

Su Qainweui shook her head and desperately shouted through her tears, "N..No! But you said, you lo...love me and that you have been waiting for my confession. Why are you denying it now?! Don't, please Li Yuan! please don't...It hurts."

But Li Yuan wasn't relenting anymore, "I loved you like a sister, damn it! And don't for a moment make me doubt it." He took a pause and let animosity consume his features, "And about the confession...it was of you confessing your heritage!"
