A spectacular nine story circular building stood by its lonesome. It is the second tallest building in the school. Windows covered the outside of the building from the bottom floor to the top, but oddly enough there was no reflection or glare off the windows. Four amber arched doubled doors had been aligned with the four main directions.
A plethora of students and beasts were rushing in and out of the building through each of its four doors. Posies of other students huddled in different spots in the surrounding areas. Each student donned their own colored outfit and armor. The only similarity between each garment is the floating island embroidered somewhere on the clothing item or forged into a chest plate.
"Surprisingly, there are no fights going on. I guess all those novels that I read back on earth told a different story. I was expecting people getting chased all over the place due to people easily getting offended. I wonder if it has anything to do with us being at the top of the universe." Arbor thought to him before turning to those who are with him. "Why does it seem oddly peaceful here? Is there something I do not know about?"
"Since you spend most of your time cooped up with your lover and only come out for class, there are some rules in the school that you probably have not heard of. Any fighting that is not organized by and elder or in the arena is forbidden. If caught the punishment is…well…I heard its unbearable. The punishment hall handles that kind of stuff. There is one exception to this. The Ashliel Tower." Orion answered.
Leo interrupted, "In the tower everything is game. Anything that you bring in is up for grabs by the other people in there. From weapons to space rings to clothing items, you can take anything. Its split into five floors depicting the cultivation realm that you are in. Since we are in the kuwa realm we would be placed in the first floor. The best part is, you can't die. The array set up in the tower transports you out seconds before you die in complete health."
"I will…we will have to take a look at the tower once we are at the peak of the kuwa realm." Arbor replied with a smile.
Arbor, Orion, Leo, and Sald made their way into the building and were met with a hunchback old man with gray hair who instructed them on how to continue. As someone ascends the floors the weapons or tools, battle skills, and cultivation methods climb in rarity and price. There are no restrictions on where each student can go. The only thing that restricts the students is the price on each item.
Each floor is separated into areas by cultivation resources, battle skills, cultivation methods, and items. Each area is then further broken down in different sections depending on the affinity of the item/skill/method or the type of resource or the type of weapon.
"The three of you can choose one item from the first three floors. You have one hour to choose. Meet me back at the checkout area in one hour." Arbor instructed his group before making a quick departure towards the stairs. He quickly made his way to the ninth level.
"I hope she isn't playing a joke on me. Only one way to find out." Arbor mumbled to himself while walking up the stairs.
On the ninth floor of the building a young boy in an orange outfit with a staff on his back was walking up and down the aisles. Curious gazes fell on to this boy from much older and stronger students. A similar thought went through the thoughts of everyone on the ninth floor: How can someone in the kuwa realm afford anything on this floor?
Of course, this is Arbor. Right now he is in the battle skills section on the ninth floor. He has been strolling the aisles for ten minutes just glancing at the names and details of each skill.
"Wait a second, during the second match, that book suddenly gave me a battle skill. Will I keep on getting more? If so I should put off purchasing a battle skill for the time being. I should look at the tools, items, and weapons." Arbor thought to himself.
Arbor spent another twenty minutes strolling the section that holds weapons, tools, and items, and had yet to find anything remotely interesting. While he knew that each thing, he looked at was at the pinnacle of the god realm, he could was not able to locate something that made of for his deficiencies.
Arbor stopped before a small display case. Floating inside is a small white glob the size of a fist that would change shape sporadically. At one second spikes would protrude, another second it would become oval, then it would flatten out. Arbor was memorized by the white object.
"Heavenly Armor of a Hundred Changes. Pinnacle God tier defensive item crafted by the legendary Telum Divus. This armor will bind and fit snug to the person wearing it. It is easily hidden under any garment as it becomes a thin membrane over the skin. Can block 2 attacks from any Akua realm expert."
Arbor read the description of the item before falling into deep thought before moving on to look at more items.
"…full set of hidden weapons. Includes throwing knives, needles, kunai, and shuriken…"
"…able to revive any person that is on their death bed. Does have to be refined for effects to be achieved..."
"…able to make the user invisible and completely hide their presence regardless of the realm they are in…"
It took Arbor only a half hour to look at all the items in the area. Since all the items on the ninth floor are at the pinnacle level in their respective categories, the number of items is not that high. With only fifteen minutes left before the determined meeting time, Arbor started to make his way down to the bottom floor.
As Arbor is making his way down the stairs, he gradually changed his face and the color of his robe so that he would not be recognized by any of his friends. When he got to the first floor, he noticed Leo, Orion, and Sald standing together off to the side. He walked past them and went straight for one of the checkout booths. When he entered the booth, he returned his look back to his identity to that of Tagas. Each booth was enclosed so that no outsiders could see what the buyer had bought.
"Item number and identity badge please." A gray eyed middle age worker ordered.
"9344" Arbor said nonchalantly. The worker looked up and was taken back at the appearance and cultivation realm of Arbor.
"Are you sure that is the correct item number?" The worker questioned Arbor.
"Yes. Here is my badge." Arbor handed is badge over as sweat started to form on his forehead. This is the first time he has tried to buy anything with his badge. He only hopes that Ashliel did not play a joke on him when she said that he can have anything in the school.
The worker placed that badge in a small circular array on the table. The badge lit up and the item Arbor requested appeared before him. His eyes lit up at the sight of the item and he placed it in his space ring. He retrieved his badge and then left the booth.
"How is that kid able to purchase something form the ninth floor? I should not dwell on it, there are things I just don't understand and should not worry about." The worker thought to himself.
