15 Final Round 2
Leo turned around and stared down Sald for a moment before he got hit in the back of the head.
"Pay attention dumb ass. We have a competition to win."
Leo turned back around to see his guarding standing in the same spot a few feet away continuously fending off each attack that is coming his and Salds way. Elder Ocas did not speak out to tell Leo that he had been eliminated.
"Who just hit me?" Leo mumbled. A few seconds later he collected himself and waited for Sald to collect the next metallic object for him to throw. In between throws Leo recovered as much strength as he could. Even the smallest amount will help, overall.
After the time it takes for tea to brew, the teams are now down to five against five. Arbors team has six. During this time, our trio had knocked out one other person. The remaining five opponents are the most difficult to deal with. Two of the opponents are users of ice and earth. When either of them is targeted, they would erect a wall and block the sphere with ease. A different opponent used a large sword to simply deflect and slice anything and everything that comes his way. Orion is the forth opponent. When a ball approached him, some of the tribal marks that cover his body would light up. When this happened something mysterious would happen to either him, the ball, or the space within his direct vicinity. The Fifth opponent is skilled in camouflage. She is able to make illusions. Unfortunately, the brute, Nea, had gotten eliminated earlier on since she only has raw strength.
The other two on Arbors team were able to fend for themselves. Hardex, has the ability to summon a small fire golem. The little golem is throwing small balls of flame at the opposing team while also protecting its summoner from any danger that approaches it. The other teammate, Viessa seems to blend in with the shadows and moved with an extremely elusive type of moment. Her movements have similar aspects to that of smoke. She would drift back and forth, fade in and out of existence, and dance with the wind.
Under Salds leadership, the remaining teammates gathered together and formulated a plan of attack. Viessa will use her abilities and make the the balls thrown by Leo as translucent as her abilities currently can. Hardex and his golem will make a wave of flames to diminish the vision of the opposing team. Sald oversees controlling the dodgeballs after they have been thrown. In addition, she would add wind to the fire to increase its overall might. Arbor's job stayed the same.
It took a couple of minutes before the newly formed teams' efficiency had reached it maximum. Along the way they successfully connected with another opponent. Four left. The ice user's shield wall was mostly melted by flames and then smashed by a dodgeball. A second one directly followed the first and made contact. He would have been able to move out of the way, but he was locked down by Arbors vines.
The most difficult aspect of the tail end of the battle is the user skilled in illusions. She is able to make the remaining four opponents appear in places they are not. Right now, Arbors, Salds, Leos, Hardexs, and Viessas best bet is to locate each individual with Arbors vines. But, the opposing sword user is only focused on defending his teammates, and destroying the vines when they come out of the ground.
The vines seemed endless. After they were cut down, they attacked again and again. If the swordsman did not move after each attack he would have been tied up as they would be able to locate him. Arbor knew this and continued to play with him. Arbor knows that his opponent will eventually make a mistake. At that moment he will strike with his full power.
Arbor has around sixty percent of his essence reserves left.
A couple of minutes passed by before Viessa got eliminated.
Her downfall came when the other team created had created multiple identically sized balls the same size of real dodge balls. The illusionist made the fake ones look identical to the real ones. Before all of the balls came over, they were shuffled with the real ones. When they came over, Arbor first made a mistake when he hit a couple fake ones instead of a real one. Viessa also made a mistake by misjudging the flight path of the balls.
"NOW."
At the sound of the command, Hardex and his golem strewed fire all over the opponent's battlefield. The only exception was the circular area where the swordsman was currently tied up by five fines. The other three opponents were ducked behind a small wall made of earth.
The swordsman broke free of vine on his offhand a couple of seconds after it got wrapped up. He grabbed the sword from his other hand and went to cut the vine on his other arm until he noticed that the vine had come from behind. He is unable to reach it.
"Fuck" The swordsman cursed. He knows that his luck has run out and decided to ready himself for any oncoming projectiles. The wall of flames that are just mere feet before him was obscuring his view. He would have little time to deflect any dodgeball.
One ball high at his right shoulder. The second ball went towards his left knee. The third ball went towards his head. The forth ball heading right towards his pelvic area. The fifth ball was aimed at his left foot. The first five balls were successfully deflected away. Masked behind the fifth ball was a translucent sixth one heading straight for his head. He only noticed it do to the small hole it created in the flame wall. Another disguised ball came through the same hole and went towards his left foot. As he blocked the sixth ball he felt a big thump on his foot.
"Out!" Elder Ocas shouted from the sidelines. A loud grunt was heard from the swordsman as he walked off the field.
Four against three.
"I think our best bet is to play defense. We our outmanned and we do not have much of an offensive play here as our abilities currently work best as defending."
"Orion, is all you have to say? You might as well forfeit with that attitude. There are contribution points on the line! I think we have a chance if we do this…" The female earth user added.
A couple of minutes later the wall made of earth that the team of three are hiding behind started to move towards the center line. Arbors team noticed this and high mind start to operate at full efficiency. Suddenly half of Arbors side of the court started to act like waves of water. Different sections of the ground elevated while other sunk down.
Sald, Leo, Arbor, and Hardex lost their balance when the ground became wobbly. When someone makes the effort to move, their attempts would be ineffective. The area that Leo is standing over began to rise above the rest of the area. He seemed to be standing on top of a mountain looking down on everyone else. When Leo was some fifteen feet above the normal elevation, the ground beneath him went back to normal in the blink of an eye.
Two sets of three balls flew towards Leo at high speeds. Since Leo is only in the Kuwa realm he is unable to fly to any degree. In addition, he has no way to maneuver his body in anyway. Arbor and the rest notice the situation that their teammate is in and tried to jump towards him and save him. Their attempts turned out to be futile.
Arbor raised his hand and shot his vines towards Leo. Hardex picked up his golem and threw it in Leo's direction. Sald forced a gust of wind towards Leo in attempt to push him away.
Before all of their efforts could succeed Leo was hit.
"Out!" Elder Ocas yelled out. A slight moment later he rang out again, "Out!"
