297 THEY MEET AGAIN

"So, what is this antidote?" Senja asked Gong Xu when he had observed the antidote that she had brought.

"This is not the antidote, this is only a pain reliever." Gong Xu put down the bottle and gave back to Senja. "They will not feel any pain during night, but they will feel lethargic during day, though their condition became better, but you have to consume this continuously, or else the symptom will relapse."

Senja stared at the bottle in her hand and then at Gong Xu.

"Prince Xiao Tianyao confronted me when I was going back from the study room." Senja told him.

However, Gong Xu's expression as if saying that he wasn't surprise about that news. "I know. I have told you also right?"

Senja nodded, but that wasn't the point.

"We need to go right?" Senja raised her head as she asked Gong Xu. "Immediately. After all this things about the disease ended."

"You don't have to come with me." Gong Xu reminded Senja. "You have all you need here, don't take a risk that you shouldn't."

"No! I will go with you." Senja's expression hardened. "Don't you dare to leave alone here."

"Think about it again." Gong Xu was still reluctant to let Senja followed him.

"I have thought about that many times and my answer is still the same." Senja was really adamant with her decision.

She didn't want to be left alone here and she didn't want to be separated from him also. She was used to have him beside her.

"Let's talk about this later." Gong Xu ended the discussion about this with the same statement like before.

The antidote that L clan had made was creating a ruckus in front of the palace as people from the higher middle class bought that without the second thought.

Meanwhile people from the lower middle class was crying, wailing and begging for the Emperor to give the antidote for them also, because many of their family member needed that, they were his subject too.

However the Emperor turned blind eyes and deaf ears, seeing those people were kneeling in front of the main gates of the palace.

Some of them became violence and got punishment while the others were in their wits end to ask for the antidote.

However among that commotion, suddenly there was someone who shouted Elder Dam's name and blamed him for not being able to protect the people, that he wasn't a competence person who failed to convince the Emperor to give the antidote for them, because he was the person in charge for this epidemic.

If they were not able to get the antidote, then it would be Elder Dam's responsibility.

Suddenly their focus was in black sword clan and they shifted their blame toward Elder Dam. In this kind of situation it was easy to control the emotion of those people. They needed someone that they could blame and Elder Dam was perfect for this.

On the second day when the antidote from L clan was sold to public, people who couldn't afford to buy the antidote were getting angry as they started to attack the military people.

Black sword clan's mansion didn't escape from the attack as well.

A lot of shadow guard were standing behind it huge gates as their attacker would throw rock toward the gates.

On the third day everything became more chaotic as people started to fight with each other, they not only attack the military people, but they also attack the house of the nobles and the rich merchant as they assumed they would have bought the antidote.

Not only that, because there were many landlords who needed money quickly, they sold their lands with price that was lowest than it supposed to be.

As if those lands meant nothing for them.

"We have bought almost all the land that those landlords had offered." Yang Yu reported to Xiao Tianyao.

"The situation is getting out of hand in the capital city." Ye Xiu reported the news to Xiao Jun.

The two brothers were sitting inside the pavilion in the black sword clan, this pavilion was built on the lake. The calm water and the serene night was an opposite scene of what was happening outside of this mansion's walls.

"But, Master there is anonymous person who bought many lands from those landlords too, though we won the lands, but we have competed in price with them." Yang Yu added his report.

"That must be people from the palace." Xiao Jun commented.

"Obvious." Xiao Tianyao waved his hand to dismiss Yang Yu and Liu Wei. "When that girl finishes with her antidote? Shouldn't the concoction of the antidote only take a day?"

"That girl has name, my brother." Xiao Jun rebuked Xiao Tianyao lightly. He knew why Xiao Tianyao was suspicious toward Senja and his guess about Gong Xu was behind all of this.

However, Xiao Jun didn't care much about that, the only thing in his mind was how to save those people and black sword clan, because once Elder Dam was going down, he would follow too.

Not to mention he still needed to look for the last Elder from the former Xinghe kingdom. There were many things that he needed to handle.

This must be the raw material for the antidote.

She was about to approach it, when suddenly she stopped walking.

He was standing not far from her, and as he felt someone was staring at him intensely he turned around and found that little girl from six years ago.
