17 NIGHTMARE

Tyas fell asleep after spending two servings of chicken porridge and a large glass of cow's milk that Jack prepared in advance. She fell asleep in a lab bed that was temporarily made into her personal corner.

"No ... please, no, I do not want to die ..." she talks in her sleep several times, delirious as if she was scared and had a very bad nightmare. "...no ... don't burn me ..." she cried in her sleep.

"Why did she have a nightmare, Jack? Isn't she supposed to be like a white cloth that doesn't have memory?" Meyrlion asked Jack.

"Helpme..." Tyas talks in her sleep. Her face is sweaty.

Jack blows his clove cigarrete as if he thrown a heavy burden on his mind. ", I just met Grandfather Ferlon, just before Tyas awakened, Bro."

"You met him? How?"

"I fell a slept a few minutes in front of her capsule. In my dream he met him again. This time he asked me permit to allow a wandering soul born into the body of our experiment."

"What?" Meyrlion get shocked.

"Yes, and there are other elders beside him. I believe they are your ancestor too. And they are consoling a wandering soul with scorched body appearance ..."

Meyrlion cannot say a word.

"Do you know that wandering soul, bro? That is the lost soul of the deceased Princess Diaz. So Tyas is reincarnation of Princess Diaz in body that have D.N.A from with us. In other words, our biological child is the reincarnation of Princess Diaz. Nevertheless, the chance she inherits your or my character is very high. You can see it appear in her physical body."

"What? You're not joking, right Jack?"

Jack shake his head, "Of course no, Bro. This is the closest explanation why does Tyas able to wake up and why she got a nightmare."

"Poor little child. She was born the huge debts to pay, as if the world is conspirated against her..." Myerlion said while stroking her hair.

"What do you mean by huge debt, bro?" Jack a little bit surprised hearing Meyrlion's word.

Now is Meyrlion's turn to blows his smoke. "This is very complicated, Jack. Apparently, she was chased by her own kingdom. The kingdom itself has a huge problem. It seems her Kingdom has been infiltrated by militaries from country of Nevernia. It is lcoated far on the north, across the ocean, on another continent. Worst come to worst, our captive told us that the spy from Nevernia has infiltrate our country too..."

Jack get shocked after listening Meyrlion stories. "This is bad, bro. We should escalate this problem to duchy government."

"Yes, I agree bro. I have plan to visit my mother tomorrow, Duchess Nindya. I will take you and Tyas come along, she should know about us too. And those captives, I will leave them under duchy military supervision."

"Tonight, where do you imprison the captive, bro?"

"As for the captives, temporary they are placed in a new room outside the lab facility, be guarded by hundreds magical trap and seal to prevent interference from outside or even from inside.

There is solid rock hill located outside the lab facility. I choose this place to create some kind jail-like-building. I just need to manipulate the rock magically until there are holes resembling a kind of flat apartment.

This flat apartment has interior designed to hold prisoners, consists of several detention rooms that separate between male and female prisoners. There is a small room for bathing and defecating in each detention room. Some of the stone beds were also prepared by the Meyrlion. While their weapons and uniforms were kept separate in another room which was sealed with various magical curses. Of course, this causes the prisoners to only wear thin clothes. Then I lock everything." Meyrlion explain in detail.

Jack give him thumbs up. "Perfect, bro!"

"As for food and logistics, of course this will cause problems. So, I decided to take them all to the city to be managed by the duchy government officials."

Actually, Meyrlion has almost finished interrogating every male prisoner. Maybe he was avoiding the female ones due some circumstances which is still unknown for Jack. Meyrlion did not tell Jack that one of their female captives has propose him a marriage proposal. This is one thing that Jack has no idea.

But of course, he will be laughed mercilessly once Jack learns this fact. And Meyrlion has done every possible thing to avoid her.

Her friend calls her Mya, a descendant of a tribe that adheres to matriarchy, where the female leads the society and has the right to propose a man. So, she doesn't have much attachment to the Kingdom or even the civil war. The only reason she decides to join the royal military force is about financial income, nothing else. This is the fact that Meyrlion does not dare to summarize.

As for another captive, none dare to tell a lie in front of the very intimidating 'police inspector Meyrlion'. He event put two magical seal or cursed to every captive. One to seal their magical power and the other seal will prevent their will to rebel. Once they told a lie or have malice intention, their brain stem will be gone haywire, be destructed by this water magical type. Once they had solid resolution to escape, the consequence will be so unbearable.

"Well, then let me have a slept Jack. I'm so tired. Which is my room?"

Jack laugh. "Just, choose any room you like. I still have something to do. I need to create the today log record."

"Bye Jack, See you at the morning. Remember, to wake up early. I'll let you see my house." Meyrlion said half joking.

"Good night Bro" Jack smile and then return to his desk next to Tyas's bed, turn on the camera connected to his computer and start making a report.

"It is undeniable, Tyas is a final product of the first joint experiments between Iocyania's magical culture and earth's science technology. Even though the process is not as simple as previously predicted, and the final result still unable to be used to answer whether those theories invalid or no, the existence of Tyas is undeniable truth. "

"It is a fact that Tyas was awoken at the end of experiment and really undergoing those evolution through million year of time manipulation controlled by Iocyania magical culture, which managed by Meyrlion."

"It is a fact that the genetically that Tyas DNA doesn't follow the normal pattern. Maybe the interference caused by the biological material from the remaining body of Princess Diaz is the root cause. While it also the saviour of the near failed evolution experiment."

"That is another confirmed fact that, human being in this planet called Iocyania has the near identical system with human in earth. Which is mean, the marriage between them is possible for reproduction resulting the fertile or not barren offspring."

"Lastly, this final product call Tyas has a physical body that is not much different from the girl of the same age, except for her tail, which traces her origins. I believe her physical body is not much different from the magical girl in the city of Mage."
