32 Chapter 32

"We hungry, let's go eat." Bernard said.

Olivia released Lucas quickly.

"Come let's go." Lucas grabbed her hand and they made their way to the picnic area. Maya and Bernard were slightly in front of them. They got there and sat down.

They all sat down and removed the food from the picnic basket. Olivia took in the scenery around her and she felt happy. She had never had a picnic, and the place was lovely.

After eating and sitting some more. They decided to call it a day and head back home. Bernard and Maya went to their house and Olivia and Lucas went to theirs.

"I'm going to go and paint a bit."

"Okay."

Olivia went inside and grabbed her books that Lucas had bought for her. She would have to study and when she was ready, she would go and sign up for the exam just like Lucas had said.

She would first learn how to write in English. She opened the first book and saw pictures of little children there. She saw took the pen and notebook that they had also bought for her. She started to write.

She was struggling so much, and yet she thought it would be simple. One would think you can speak the language, it would be easier to write it. After some time, her head hurt, from all the writing. Yet she was determined to be educated. It was one of her dreams.

"What are you so focused on?"

Olivia jumped when she felt Lucas's hot breath on her neck. She hadn't heard him come in. Now that he was here, she felt a tingling sensation to his breath on her neck. She didn't want to look at him, she wanted the sensation to die down, but it was growing more than ever.

She cleared her throat, "I am learning how to write."

Lucas sat down next to her, "Let me help you then."

If it was someone else who offered to help her, she would have asked what they wanted in return, especially when it came to men. Yet with Lucas, her heart knew that he wanted nothing in return. He wanted to help her our of generosity.

"what's wrong?" said Lucas.

"Nothing, I didn't mean to stare."

"You can stare all you want." he said in a cajoling tone.

Olivia felt herself soften more towards him, "How will you help me?"

"Okay, let's start with the letters that you find the hardest to write and read."

"Okay, well in this situation it is most of them."

"It's okay, you will get it."

They started one by one, with the letters of the easiest book, the more Lucas read for her, the easier it became for her. He made illustrations for her, some were funny, and she would laugh. Lucas would also draw some depictions and ask her what it was. He drew them so precise that she would be more impressed with the drawing.

Night-time was coming soon, "I need to go cook supper."

"Let me go change."

Lucas went to the room and she got up and started on supper. She took out some meat and some vegetables.

She put the meat on the stove, Lucas came back when he was done changing. He washed his hands and took a knife.

He started to chop some of the vegetables, "I thought you would be tired, since you were painting, and you helped with my lesson."

Lucas chuckled, "If I'm tired then you also must be tired. Let's do it together then we can go to bed."

Olivia knew what he meant but she blushed, why had another thought just creeped into her mind. Was she attracted to Lucas?
