Chapter 232 - Fall in Love with Me Again

Lu Fang thought Andrea was running away from him. It feared him even just the thought that she was unwilling to speak with him, but seeing her walk back to his direction, it soothed him.

Andrea stood in front of her husband and apologized, "I", sorry. I needed -"

She broke down giggling out of the blue. She wiped her face with her bare hands and explained, "I needed to make sure you were you."

Lu Fang was amused at how she smiled innocently at her actions. She had the same angelic face and expressive light brown eyes, but she lost weight. He swore to cook for her the moment they arrive at the Davies mansion.

"That's okay. I understand... Andy, can I hug you?" The man asked while staring straight into her eyes.

Andrea felt incredibly awkward. Everyone was looking at them like they were the main event for the day. She bit her lip and looked back at his adoring eyes and agreed, "Sure. You can hug me. I'm your wife, after all."

She cleared her arms for him and Lu Fang slowly embraced her. She felt his hands folded around her back then slowly, one made its way to her head. Seconds past and his hold became stronger, pressing her entire body against his lean chest.

It did not take long for her to hear him sobbing. She could feel his pain through his heavy breaths and it made her tightened her own hold against his broad shoulders. She realized he must have suffered so much when she was missing, making her equally affected.

Slowly, Lu Fang loosened his hold, and he gently cupped her cheeks with both hands. He stared right into her eyes with his teary ones before saying, "I miss you so much, Babe."

Her mouth parted as a reaction and asked, "Babe?"

"Sis," Hanxi interrupted. "It's what you call each other. Pretty tiring to hear actually. Babe. Babe! Babe?"

She glanced at Hanxi and back again to her husband, but the man said, "It's okay. When you are ready."

The drive to the Davies' mansion was a long and silent one. The couple merely stole glances at each other, but Lu Fang made sure to at least hold her hand.

Nervous about the man's touch, Andrea's hands turned cold. When he realized this, he held her it higher and blew his warm breath against it. His actions instantly sent shivers down her spine. She could feel her ears turning red altogether that she asked herself, 'What the hell is happening to me?'

As they were nearing the estate, Lu Fang saw a familiar home that Alfred now looked after. He decided to make a stop.

"Uncle, we'll get off here then Andy and I can walk home afterward. I want to show Andy something," Lu Fang asked.

Alfred looked around and realized what he meant. He gently asked the driver to drop them off in front of the house, across the mansion driveway.

"Why are we stopping here?" Asked Andrea.

Lu Fang just smiled at her and stepped out of the vehicle, still holding her hand. The limo drove into the mansion and they were left on their own in front of a residence. They stood there for a minute while the man studied the surroundings.

"It still looked the same after all these years. Well, uncle might have had it re-worked sometime last year," the man said. He turned to Andrea who had a completely puzzled expression and added, "You used to come here when you were ten years old. Do you remember?"

Andrea gave him a smirk and reacted, "How do you know that?"

"It's because this is where we first met. I was fourteen, and you were ten years old. I gave you a wooden locket pendant, and I told you I would return the next year but I did not come back." Lu Fang narrated about how they became friends as children and how she waited for him the entire year.

Andrea somehow recalled playing with another boy within the same year when she joined the Davies family, but if her memory served her right she had bragged about marrying that same boy. Her face turned red instantly.

"Did you remember?"

"A little, I guess," she said then pursed her lips, trying to hold a down a giggle. Just the thought of her aggressive little self made her want to laugh. "So that was you?"

"Yes, it was me and you asked me to marry you on my last day here," said Lu Fang as he pulled her close beside him. He let go of her hand and wrapped it around her shoulder and then reminded her, "You actually stole my first kiss then."

"What? No way!" she protested with a frown on her face.

"You can ask your dad. We all talked about during dinner once back in China."

A strange sensation rushed through her when Lu Fang touched her shoulders. The same feeling when he started to hold her hand inside the limo. When the man's hand slid down to her waist, all the more she felt butterflies in her stomach. She had to admit, the feeling her own husband was giving her was not like any other.

Since they were alone, Andrea took the opportunity to raise her concerns, "Lu Fang?"

"Babe?"

"I was afraid at first - not remembering and all… How you would react or will you and your family accept me? At the same time, I was worried about not knowing you at all. When I found out I lost my memories, it seemed like I had fallen into a whole I couldn't climb up to," Andrea expressed with all her heart as she turned to face him.

"Andy, we have all our lives together. You will get to know me more than you know. Just stay by my side and be yourself. I'll take care of the rest."

It relieved Andrea to hear him say that. Li Wen had told her the same countless times but coming from the man himself, assured her earnestly.

Lu Fang pulled her even closer. They were practically inches apart. He stroked her hair and caressed her cheeks before announcing, "It doesn't matter if you felt you have fallen. You can fall from the sky and or from a tree, I'd catch you either way, but instead of falling just anywhere, why not fall in love with me again?"

It took a second for Andrea to burst out laughing hearing his lines. She could not help but ask, " Did I fall for that?"

"No, I think this was new," the man replied as his eyes narrowed at her, giving her a teasing grin.
