Chapter 149 - The General and Chunhua Take Responsibility

General Lie was looking at the report handed to him by his lieutenant. He noticed several funds were allocated to the name "okeanos". These were the paper trail provided by Rou Chunhua which her father found in one of the homes of Rou Yanlin. He wanted to get more information about it but she would not answer his calls. 

He turned to his bag and remembered buying a pack of cinnamon sticks. The soldier he had assigned to follow Chunhua mentioned she had been looking for one and had gone to about five different baking supply stores. His mother happens to bake as well and once, he asked if there are plenty of cinnamon sticks from where she gets her supply. 

He thought by buying her a pack, she would willingly speak to him. 

In the past few days, General Lei Dong had learned that Chunhua loved to bake. She had been hanging out with her college friends who seem to take advantage of her newfound wealth. Lately, she had been drinking too much like as if she had something that required a great deal of forgetting. 

His phone began to ring and saw that it was the soldier who was tasked to monitor Chunhua. 

"General, she is drunk again early in the afternoon. Her friends tried to take advantage of her so I beat the crap out of them. Two of them were men and tried to take off her clothes."

Lei Dong frowned. More than anything, he was disappointed with Chunhua. 

"Sir, should I take her to her parent's house?"

He thought about it but decided against it. Her mother was going through a kidney treatment and seeing her own daughter in this state will only dishearten her. 

"No, bring her to my hotel room. I'm headed back there."

Lie Dong was staying in a suite at the Holiday Inn. It wasn't the best hotel in the city but it was closet to the Military Camp. He did not like the barracks offered to him as it did not give the usual luxuries that he grew accustomed to.

It did not take long for the soldier to knock on his door and the moment he opened it, Chunhua jumped off from being carried, crashing in Lei Dong's chest. 

"Sir, she is a handful. It was very difficult to bring her over with my bike… Are you sure you can manage?"

The General's expression remained blank, and he calmly responded, "Yes, I've come to know her. I can look after her."

Closing the door, he felt Chunhua tightening her hold around his neck. He held her by the waist and dragged her to the bedroom but as he was about to lay her down, she spoke earnestly, "General Lei Dong, am I not attractive enough for your attention?" She was breathing heavily down his neck, refusing to let go. 

This gave him goosebumps. Her breaths practically tickled him at the right spot. 

When she finally released him, he laid her down to the bed. It was at that moment he saw her cheeks were flaming in red. She was too drunk to be aware of her own actions. 

Chunhua had a small face and her bob-cut hair made her look even younger. Lei Dong thought she looked rather cute. 

Today, she wore tight fit denim jeans and a white fitted off-shoulder blouse which perfectly showed her curves. Although she was a small girl, she had wide hips and gifted with bigger breasts. 

"You can get some sleep here until you get sober. Then I can take you home."

She gave the widest smile on her face yet her eyes remained closed. She turned to her left side before telling him, "You're too handsome for your own good."

This made him smile and shook his head. Although it was just a little smile, it had been a while since he gave a genuine one. 

Ravoski arrived at the second entrance of Tianjin's port. If his memory served him right, this would be the place where Lorenzo and Rou Yanlin's assistant were to meet the next day. Since their leader had died, there was no way for them to report the failed mission and so he expects that Han Yun would still come as agreed to give the remaining payment. 

"Ravoski, are you sure we are still going to get paid?" asked his colleague while still seated on the motorbike. 

"He'd better! I still need to pay for your men's service. " He looked around and saw a small hotel. "Let's stay in that hotel until tomorrow."

Back at the Holiday Inn, Lei Dong was working in the living room area when he realized it was almost time for dinner. He stood up to check on Chunhua and found himself shocked at the sight of her naked body. She had taken off all her clothes and what remained was her cupcake designed underwear. 

She was laying down flat on the bed with both her arms stretched out above her head. 

He came close to reach for the blankets so he could at least cover her but her perfectly shaped breasts caught his attention. He could not help but appreciate them. He was just a man after all. In his entire adult life, he had seen a few, but he had to admit Chunhua's breast were beautiful. 

"Hooo!" He let out a heavy sigh and pulled up the sheets up to her collarbones. 

He went back to the living room and wondered, how he was going to wake her up now that she was naked sleeping on his hotel bed. He concluded, she was going to have to stay there until she was capable of changing by herself. 

"Ahhh!" The General was woken up by a scream that came from the bedroom. He realized the time. It was already ten o'clock in the evening. He chose not to enter the room and just wait for her to come out. 

Rou Chunhua stepped outside the room and was surprised to find the General sitting in the living area of the hotel suite. Her anger turned to sorrow, and it did not take long for her to cry. 

"General Lei, are you going to take responsibility for what happened?"

It wasn't the kind of reaction he expected but lately; he had been contemplating about getting into a relationship, one that could erase Andrea from his heart.

He turned to her with his usual straight face and said, "Yes, I'll take responsibility."
