68 Chapter 68 – Transcendent Pill

Even though only two of them studied alchemy, the others also learned about herbs and materials necessary for pill concoction. It is a necessary knowledge for every cultivator to learn about these things since they travel around the world and collect them when they come across one.
But they are not as knowledgeable as alchemists who study them in detail about their uses and many ways to use the materials.

Once they got up, the soul spirit spoke "The second test is pill concoction. You will have to create a pill according to your alchemist level and grade, and you will be provided with three sets of ingredients. The person who creates the transcendent grade pill in three hours will pass the second round."
Once it finished, Wu Qian Ren sighed and spoke with a sad face "I forfeit."
The other three expected this and nodded to Wu Qian Ren. He disappeared from the place and three furnaces appeared on the platform.
Wu Qing looked visibly happy and with excitement said to the Soul Spirit the detail of Grade three pill she want to concoct.
Zhu Xuan understood that she can create a transcendent grade pill from how excited she looked. He also learnt that she is a high grade apprentice and is an alchemy genius.

Each pill is split into five grades based on the purity of the pill; low grade pill with 60 - 69% purity and above, mid grade with 70 - 79% purity, high grade pill with 80 - 89% purity, peak grade pill with 90- 94% percent purity and finally transcendent grade pill with a purity of 95 - 100%.
The purity of the pill affects the cultivator's cultivation speed. For example, if a cultivator took low grade pills for a long time, the 40% impurity in the pill accumulates with the body's impurity and makes it harder for the cultivator to breakthrough to next level.
