63 Chapter 63 – Ruins

Zhu Xuan didn't answer him but asked "What happened to you all? And is there any enemy nearby?"

Wu Yong suddenly remembered and said in an anxious voice "Wu Qing is also in danger. She is also chased by two people."

Zhu Xuan didn't sat say anything; he took out a healing pill and gave it to Wu Yong and also used his healing technique to heal him. Within a minute his severe injuries healed considerably and Wu Yong is able to move around due to the added effects of both the healing pill and Zhu Xuan's healing technique.

He stood up and said "Lead the way where did you saw Wu Qing last."

Wu Yong also got up and they both moved together where they last saw Wu Qing. When they reached the place, they could hear battle sound. He already inquired Wu Yong and found there are two enemies, one at Qi gathering middle stage and other at Qi gathering initial stage.

Wu Yong also said she had a protective treasure which eased Zhu Xuan's worry a little. They moved fast and Zhu Xuan said "When we reach there, attack the Qi gathering middle stage cultivator with Wu Qing, I will kill the Qi gathering initial stage fighter and will join you to kill the last person."

They reached the place of the battle and found Wu Qing was attacked from both sides and one of her arm was already injured and she couldn't use it. But she was still defending with her other arm.

Wu Qing is at Qi gathering middle stage and an excellent fighter, but she is good only at single combat and when more than one person attacked at the same time, she fell into a disadvantageous state which resulted in her current situation.

Zhu Xuan and Wu Yong didn't slow down and rushed towards the fight as planned. Zhu Xuan rushed first with his fast movement technique and attacked the Qi gathering initial stage cultivator. He defended with his sword and pushed back more than ten feet.

Zhu Xuan rushed at him, but Wu Qing also followed up with him to attack. He stopped her with his hand and said "Go help Wu Yong, I can take care of him."

He didn't wait for her response and moved towards the enemy. Wu Qing stopped for a moment in a dilemma and then turned back, moving to attack the Qi gathering middle stage enemy along with Wu Yong.

She only made one attack when fire Qi spear moved past her and attacked the enemy. He blocked the spear attack and moved back to gain distance from them.

Wu Qing looked back and saw Zhu Xuan rushing towards them and behind him a body with his head separated and was shocked.

Zhu Xuan rushed past her and shouted "Attack". She came back to herself and also moved to attack. The three of them attacked from all directions and didn't give him a chance to even escape and he was soon killed by the combined attacks.

Wu Qing flopped down in exhaustion. Zhu Xuan moved towards her and used his healing technique; he turned towards Wu Yong and asked "Now can you tell me what happened exactly?"

Wu Yong looked at Wu Qing and she subtly nodded.

Wu Yong spoke "Brother Wu Shi Yun, two months ago bought a map from an unknown seller of a ruin from Qinglu treasure pavilion. We found the Ruin is here in the Snowcape Demon Mountain, and Brother Wu Qian Ren arranged a team to come here to find the ruin."

Zhu Xuan remembered lots of information when he heard of the word Ruin. He learned, in this world, when the cultivators can't go beyond a certain cultivation stage and had to leave this world and go for a higher world. So either before they leave the world or if they are going to die, they create a ruin with various tests for the qualified younger generations to obtain their knowledge and the treasures they collected which won't be useful for them in the higher world.

Zhu Xuan wondered "This must be a ruin created by a rogue cultivator since I heard the ruins of the cultivators who belonged to the clans were obtained by their own descendants."

Wu Yong continued "We came here in the disguise of train ourselves, and made necessary precautions to the point we even entered the mountains from the other side and planned to enter the ruins after crossing the peak."

He sighed and continued "But we didn't expect, Meng Haoran and his family members will ambush us in our camp, near the ruins. We were separated in the fight and were chased by those three people from Meng family since last night and they finally caught up to us today"

Zhu Xuan thought and asked "But how did they know about the ruins and even arranging to ambush you near the ruins? Did the person who sold the map to you sold to them too?"

Wu Qing is the one who answered with a sigh "The situation in Lei Shu academy is too complicated Shikong Shen. The top ten disciples in the inner court disciple are always from the ten noble families; even though they seem to get along well with one another, they all compete against each other inside the academy and so does the ten noble families outside the academy."

"So there is no surprise there are spies of other families in our family's association, but we didn't expect there would be a traitor among the main members of our association since only they knew about the ruins and where it is located."

Zhu Xuan looked at Wu Yong and said "That's why you said I'm the reason for the ambush when you saw me because you all thought that they sent me to track you down?"

Wu Qing and Wu Yong gave an embarrassing smile. Wu Qing asked "Is that why you left without informing any of us? But how are you still in the mountains and how did you find us?"

Zhu Xuan started bullshitting again "I realized you are all not here for just training and also felt you all are suspicious of me when I travelled with you, and since we already crossed the peak I thought I should leave silently. I wasn't sure whether you will let me go if I said I wanted to leave."

Both of them coughed awkwardly.

Zhu Xuan continued "But who would have expected that I will come across a Qi gathering mid stage demon beast and I was injured heavily by it before I managed to escape. I found a cave and recuperated until today. When I started travelling towards Caifu city, I heard the sound of battle and found Wu Yong being attacked and came to help."

Both of them also felt grateful or his help and thanked him again.

By this time, Zhu Xuan already healed most of the injuries of Wu Qing. He asked "And what happened to the rest of the people in your team?"

Wu Qing replied "They should be okay for now. Brother Wu Qian Ren activated his formation plate to block any outside attacks, before we escaped. We tried to reach the formation but we were blocked by those three people so we chose to escape."

"With his strength and resources he has, he should be hold on for more than half a day easily. So if we reach them soon, we will be able to help. But we need to be careful since our team would have consumed lots of energy in maintaining the formation but the Meng family members should be in good battle strength."

Zhu Xuan thought for a while and said to the two "Let's go. Lead the way to the camp location; I have a plan to defeat them."
