54 Chapter 54 – Danger

Zhu Xuan was moving fast towards the Snowcape Demon Mountain and almost reached the border of the mountain.

He was thinking where he needs to go and what to do next after entering the Snowcape Demon Mountain. He can't stay in there forever and since Lei Shu academy is no lost cause he was thinking if he should join one of the sects in the kingdom.

Anyway, he was first planning to go to Tanxin city and think of his future plans.

While he was thinking, he suddenly felt a killing intent and immediately dodged to the side form where he was and boom sound heard from behind him.

He turned around while moving and saw two people rushing out of the dust created by the attack. He immediately recognized both of them. One of them was a Zhu clan elder who was supporting Zhu Lang, Zhu Shen Chen who is at Qi gathering initial stage and the other was a subordinate of General Hong Dong Shen, Ru Feng who is at Qi gathering middle stage.

Ru Feng sneered "You senses are quite sharp to be able to escape my attack. I expected nothing less from the son of Silver shadow, Zhu Ling Han."

Zhu Xuan was shocked to hear it and then he suddenly understood that some elder of the main hall have betrayed the Zhu clan. And seeing the elder from Zhu Lang's faction here to kill him he understood Zhu Lang must have been the one who released his father's information and they must have followed his aunt and found him.

Zhu Xuan didn't know was after he left the arena the day before, one of the main hall elder who supported Zhu Lang, afraid of some powerful faction coming and destroying the Zhu clan, revealed all the information regarding what happened fifteen years ago hoping Zhu Lang, using his core disciple status to protect him.

Zhu Lang was first shocked, but then was ecstatic since this is the best opportunity to destroy Zhu Xuan and at the same time getting closer to the imperial family. He already lost interest in becoming the clan leader of Zhu clan when he become a core disciple and learnt more about the world of cultivators. He wanted to widen his horizons and become stronger, and he felt this is his chance and approached Feng Tian, ninth imperial prince staying in Qinglu city. He informed of the true identity of Silver shadow and Zhu Xuan, but he said Zhu Ling Han threatened to eradicate the entire clan if they didn't protect his son.

Zhu Lang was also the one who gave the idea of following Zhu Jia Li, considering how close they were and Feng Tian ordered Ru Feng along with Zhu Shen Chen to follow her while the rest of the imperial army still searching through every nook and corner in Qinglu city.

Ru Feng was skeptical at first, but after following her for a day she left the city and came to Clearwater city with a clan elder which confused him. But he was patient and waited, and when he saw her leaving alone and finally meeting Zhu Xuan near Snowcape Demon Mountain he was incredibly happy.

Zhu Xuan looked at them with a grim face and also worried about his aunt and tenth sister since those two are the ones close to him in the clan.

Seeing Zhu Xuan not speaking anything, Ru Feng sneered and said with a mocking tone "It is heavens will for me kill the son of Silver Shadow."

Zhu Shen Chen who was next to Ru Feng said "Senior Ru Feng, you can't kill him. Second prince asked him to capture him and take him back alive to get some information from him. And if we capture him, we can use him to lay a trap to kill Silver Shadow."

Seeing Ru Feng started thinking, he continued "Moreover, if we capture him we might be able to learn the secret about the powers of the silver shadow. So Senior let me capture him. You don't have to take action for a puny body purification stage brat."

"Very well, but don't take long and capture him as fast as possible. Even though his aunt left, there is a possibility she come back with that elder to safeguard him after hearing the battle sound" Ru Feng said lightly and backed away to watch the battle.

Zhu Xuan didn't say anything and took out his sword from the sheath ready to attack. Zhu Shen Chen put on his glove and approached fast moving with an incredible speed. He attacked at Zhu Xuan's chest but he put up his sword against the approaching fist. Both of them clashed and Zhu Xuan was pushed back with an incredible force. He flipped and steadied himself tens of meters away.

Zhu Xuan wanted to escape but he knows he can't escape with Ru Feng who was watching from the sides.

He also heard what Ru Feng said and he wanted to delay the battle, but there is a huge difference between Body purification stage and Qi gathering stage and their body is reborn once one enters Qi gathering stage. He is clear he can't win against him in a direct fight but can only win by tricking him and devised a plan to escape the moment he injures Zhu Shen Chen and distracting Ru Feng.

Since he gained the distance in the previous attack, he immediately formed a fire Qi spear and threw at his chest. Zhu Shen Chen gave a disdainful snort and blocked it with his hands; He didn't even bother using his Qi since he knew long distance attacks lose power and he reduced his vigilance and closed in on him again.

Zhu Lang formed one more fire Qi spear and threw it at the approaching Zhu Shen Chen and he didn't stop and approached fast at the spear. He was about to block the spear when he heard Ru Feng's loud voice "Be careful"

But before he could react, the spear tore though his arm, hit his chest and punctured his heart. He flew back from the force and fell down spewing blood from his mouth. Qi spear dissipated and more blood spewed out of his heart and he fainted not understanding how it happened.

Ru Feng on the other hand was clearly able to see what happened, there was a thin thread attached to the end of the spear which is connected to Zhu Xuan.

Zhu Xuan used the thin thread attached to the fire Qi spear to continuously send Qi so that it won't lose power and gain more power and also sending Qi through the spear also increased its speed and force. This is the method Zhu Xuan came up with when he was in seclusion in the Dark Winds valley. Even though the thread attached to the spear can be noticed, in the middle of the night there is a high possibility the person who was being attacked would fail to notice.

This is the reason Zhu Shen Chen who was fighting with Zhu Xuan couldn't see and was gravely injured and Ru Feng who was watching the fight was able to see in the last moment and tried to warn the other but failed.

Ru Feng was beyond angry at this point and with bloodshot eyes looked at Zhu Xuan who was escaping into the Snowcape Demon Mountain. He immediately moved and appeared behind Zhu Xuan the next moment like he teleported.

He hit on Zhu Xuan's back with full power. Zhu Xuan spewed blood, flew away and hit a tree and fell down.

Ru Feng moved again like he teleported and attacked; Zhu Xuan used his earth barrier to block the attack, but his fist just smashed through the barrier and approached Zhu Xuan's chest. Zhu Xuan hastily put up his hand and with a kacha sound his hand got fractured. He cried in pain but he was smashed in chest again by Ru Feng's next attack. He spewed out blood and rib cage also broke and fell on the tree again.

Since the tree was behind him, he couldn't dodge easily so he released his lightning Qi and attacked the approaching fist. Ru Feng immediately backed few meters from the pain in his fist and he saw it was burnt slightly from the lightning attack.

He was shocked and asked "How many elemental roots do you actually have?"

Looking at Zhu Xuan who is not answering and looking at him with blood shot eyes filled with killing intent, he reminded of Silver Shadow and what he heard about how Zhu Xuan transformed yesterday in anger and how he got powerful after the transformation.

He sneered and said "Since you are not answering, let me cut off your limbs so that you won't change like yesterday. They won't blame me as long as I bring you back alive."

As he said that, Ru Feng unsheathed his blade and slowly closed in on Zhu Xuan.
