38 Chapter 38 – End of the Mission

Wang Qinyang just looked at him for a few moments without speaking making him slightly uncomfortable.

She then spoke slowly "I figured you will be leaving soon, when you asked us to take the people to the village and asked others to protect them for few days. I have been observing you and found you leaving silently, so I followed you. May I ask why you are leaving without anyone knowing in a hurry and where you are going Young master Xuan?"

She had a good opinion of Zhu Xuan. He saved them from the bandits, but instead of leaving he stayed and made plans for others to get to safety. She understood he clearly cared about everyone's welfare, but he is suddenly leaving in the night without informing anyone so she was confused by his action.

Zhu Xuan smiled wryly for being found out and told her "The truth is it was a training mission set by master to kill all the Blood claw bandits within seven days. Today is the seventh day and I need to go meet my master in the prearranged location. Even though I want to stay with you all, I can't go against my master's orders. My master Shen Long is little eccentric and will punish me if I don't show up on time."

He made up a story with part truth and part lie saying the mission from the system as from his master. He even made a sad face at the end of his sentence. Seeing his sad face, Wang Qinyang couldn't help but laugh out loud. This is the first time she laughed like this after they have met.

She said with a smile "Then I wish you a safe journey Young master Xuan. And you don't have to worry about others. We will definitely make sure they are safe and do everything to find out about the people behind the bandits."

Zhu Xuan also smiled and cupped his hand "Then I thank Lady Qinyang for your help. I hope we can meet again soon and also please tell Young master Shuang about my departure."

Wang Qinyang looked at the disappearing figure of Zhu Xuan with a smile and she also turned to leave.

After travelling for more than an hour and making sure no one is around, he injected his Qi into the dragon pendant. He saw Shen Long inside and said "Senior Long, I finished the mission successfully."

But he was shocked when he heard Shen Long's response. Shen Long's replied with his usual tone "Sorry for being an eccentric man."

He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He didn't expect the always calm and serious Shen Long to say such a thing and mock him. He hurriedly explained "Senior Long, I was just making an excuse to her when she found out I'm leaving and used your name for authenticity. I didn't mean anything else by those words."

Shen Long spoke in calm tone "Never mind. I'm satisfied with the results of your mission; you did more than just complete the mission and helped lots of people. But, I had to follow the rules of the Origin system."

Zhu Xuan understood what Shen Long was telling him. He understood Zhu Xuan wanted to spend more time and help the people, but he can't break the rules of the system for it. If Zhu Xuan wanted to do anything other than the mission in the future, he needs to make sure to complete it within the mission time period.

Zhu Xuan smiled and said "I understand Senior Long; I will keep that in mind."

He paused and continued "Senior Long, Can you tell me at least now where I was sent for my mission?"

Zhu Xuan found from the Wang siblings that he is in a kingdom called Heavenly Giants Kingdom. He has never heard of such a kingdom from what he learned from the library of Zhu clan. Zhu Xuan looked that there was no response from Shen Long and could only smile wryly.

Shen Long looked at Zhu Xuan's right hand which is hanging limp and said "You have been injured heavily this time. Leave now and get some rest and I will inform you when the next mission is ready."

Zhu Xuan could only acknowledge and enter the Black vortex formed in front of him with a wry smile.

Inside the dragon pendant, Shen Long changed into his original form of the old man and he smiled happily and spoke to himself "He is just like the master when he was young."

Shen Long remembered how back in the old days when his master was young, he would do what he felt right and help people with all his strength once he decided. When he saw Zhu Xuan helping those people, he was reminded of his master and couldn't help but tease him a bit in his happy mood.

After a few moments, Zhu Xuan walked out of the black vortex and found it was the same place he entered through the vortex when he started the mission on top of the small mountain near Qinglu city. He still felt dizzy after the teleportation, but it was better than the last time. He simply went and sat under a tree nearby, took some pills and closed his eyes to meditate.

When the morning came, he moved fast towards the Qinglu city and entered the Zhu clan. He went straight for the alchemy pavilion instead of his own courtyard. He needed to get some potions that can be used to mend his bones and heal him faster. He found various pills and potions in the spatial ring that belonged to Blood claw, but remembering them training bizarre techniques and fed the imprisoned people those dangerous pills that improve their physique energy and spirit energy, he decided to not take any of the pills until he find out about the effects of those pills.

He entered the pavilion, and when his aunt and Tenth sister saw him they were shocked in a bad condition. Her aunt asked him to immediately sit down and injected her Qi to check his condition thoroughly. She got really worried and asked him in anger "What were you doing in the Snowcape Demon Mountain little Xuan? You have only been away for seven days yet you have injured heavily."

Zhu Xuan touched his nose and asked "It's not that serious is it?"

Zhu Jia Li said in a worried tone and retorted "You have your bones crushed in your hand, few ribs are broken, you have spinal injury, lots of cracked bones and internal injuries all over your body. You tell me if this is serious or not?"

Zhu Xuan didn't know what to say to his aunt, so he made up another lie. He said "I'm sorry Aunt Jia Li, I found a cavern inside a cave deep in the mountain, but it was protected by a Qi Gathering stage demon beast. I didn't notice it when I entered and it suddenly attacked me and I got heavily injured before escaping. I will be careful in the future."

Zhu Jia Li warned him to be very careful, and then gave him the pills and potions for his injuries. He took out a pouch from his waist and handed it to Zhu Jia Li and said "Aunt Jia Li, that cave I found deep inside the mountain used to be a cave where a mysterious cultivator trained in the past, and I found few pills and potions there. I don't know their uses so can you please check them for me?"

These are the pills and potions from the spatial ring. He already took few of them and put it in his pouch to show his Aunt. He didn't want anyone to know that he owned a spatial ring.

It's not that he didn't trust his Aunt and Tenth sister, but if they let it out by accident about his spatial ring it would be disastrous for him, especially his Tenth sister. She is a mischievous and naive girl and there is a high chance she accidentally let it slip to others. He already have many people in clan who want to harm and kill him, he didn't want to add more people on that list.

Zhu Jia Li took the pills and potions from him and checked it briefly. She has guessed the function of few pills but she wasn't completely sure. She told him "I have some idea but I will have to test and verify it to get a better understanding of these pills Little Xuan, which will take few days."

Zhu Xuan nodded in understanding. She spoke again with a serious tone "For the next few days, concentrate on healing your body and resting. No training and learning in that time. Come here once you healed to continue learning alchemy."

Zhu Xuan smiled and acknowledged her Aunt "Okay Aunt Jia Li, I will listen to you. Well then, I will leave now, it's been days since I properly rested. See you later Aunt Jia Li, Tenth sister."

He bid them farewell and walked out of the Alchemy pavilion.
