27 Chapter 27 – Killing Idiots

Zhu Xuan was excited to hear he was going to get his first mission.

He has been looking forward for this for a while now, moreover he also felt staying at his place and training is not going to help him understand the elements easily. He was planning to go out for practice anyway, so he was happy about receiving his first mission at this time.

He injected his Qi and entered the Dragon pendant. As soon as he entered he saw Shen Long in his Will-O-Wisp form right in front of him. He greeted him "Nice to see you again Senior Long."

Shen Long replied "Good. You have been improving well."

Zhu Xuan was happy to hear a compliment from Senior Long.

Before he could respond, Shen Long continued "Your first mission from the Origin system is to destroy a bandit group named Blood claw bandits. The leader of the group is at Peak level body purification stage. You have seven days to destroy the group or the mission will be considered as failed."

Zhu Xuan was confused because he never heard about this bandit group near the city or any nearby city areas. He was worried whether he could make it in seven days when he realised the bandit group wasn't in Qinglu city area.

Understanding his doubts, Shen Long said calmly "You don't have to worry about where the bandit group is or the travelling time. Once you have prepared, inject your Qi again in the pendant and you will know."

Zhu Xuan was relieved to hear that and said "Thank you Senior Long."

He thought of something and continued "Senior Long, I bought a set of swords that resonated with the dragon pendant. Do you know anything about it, is there any relation with these two?"

Shen Long replied in a calm tone "The main material used to create the swords is one of the materials master used to make the dragon pendant. And, you will know about the background of the material when the time comes. For now, use these swords until you reach Qi gathering stage for practice, it will be a good practice for your improvement and improve your own strength instead of depending on your weapons."

Zhu Xuan understood there must be a reason for not revealing everything and simply acknowledged him and said "Thanks for telling me Senior. I will get prepared and will inform you when I'm ready."

Shen Long said "I also need to remind you that you won't be getting any rewards for this mission. Now, off you go and inform me when you are ready."

With that, Zhu Xuan got back to his body. After that, he got busy preparing resource materials, food and other essentials from the Zhu clan pavilions for his journey. Finally he went to the alchemy pavilion to inform his aunt and his tenth sister.

He told her that he will be going out to Snowcape Demon Mountain for training and to try to break through to the next stage. Zhu Jia Li gave him various pills for his journey and asked him to be careful.

Zhu Xuan has been learning alchemy these past day and he had some success in purification and making some potions, but not yet successful in forming any pills. He only learnt all basic potions until now which won't be helpful in his journey, so he was glad he got these pills from his aunt.

He thanked them and left the Zhu clan. He was planning to reach the small mountain near the Qinglu city, where he stayed a night before reaching the city for the first time, before sending a message to Senior Long. That way no one will suspect him when he changes the direction to where the bandits were instead of Snowcape Demon Mountain.

While he was reaching the outer gate, he realised someone is tailing him. But he wasn't bothered by it and had an idea who it might be.

He left the city and travelled to the mountain. As soon as he reached the peak, he just sat on a rock and patiently waited for the people following him to reach the place.

After a few minutes, a group of people came and was shocked to see that Zhu Xuan was sitting and facing them with a smile. Seeing the group leader, Zhu Xuan smiled and said with a sarcastic tone "Hey dog, didn't expect your nose to be so good that you have been sniffing and chasing me."

Zhu Ting became angry. He understood Zhu Xuan already realised they have been following him and waiting for them.

He shouted with anger "Zhu Xuan, don't think you can escape from us today. You don't have the Tenth princess or Elder Jia Li to save you today."

Zhu Xuan got up from the rock and calmly said "Dog, I told you that day itself that it was you that was lucky that day for my tenth sister's interference, but you just had to come looking for your death."

He continued with a sarcastic tone "Just because you have a couple of mere tenth stage dogs with you, you think you can do anything to me."

Zhu Xuan really wasn't worried about them. This group had two tenth stage, three ninth stage and remaining all Eighth stage cultivators, and it looked like Zhu Ting also broke through to eighth stage. Even before practising any techniques, he already defeated Bai Shuo who was at tenth stage. Now he can easily defeat a tenth stage cultivator, and fight against eleventh stage cultivator in equal standing.

Hearing Zhu Xuan's words, Zhu Ting was sceptical. He wondered "Why is this Zhu Xuan not afraid? He realised we were following him and he is still standing opposite us calmly. Is it that Elder Jia Li sent someone to protect him? That's how we have been found?" As he thought this, he looked around the area.

Understanding what Zhu Ting is thinking, Zhu Xuan laughed out and said "Don't look around like an idiot. No one is there to protect me and I'm alone. I don't need anyone else's help to kill a bunch of rabid dogs."

Zhu Ting and the rest of the group went livid with anger. How dare he keep calling them dogs and don't even consider them as opponents and disregard them.

One of the tenth stage cultivator from the group came in front, and said angrily "You sure are arrogant. Just because you killed a clan member and no one punished you, you think you can do anything and not be afraid of anyone?"

But before he could continue, Zhu Xuan disappeared from his place and the next second, he felt a cold feeling in his throat. He found Zhu Xuan slightly crouching and his blade was on his neck.

Zhu Xuan asked with a playful smile "So, should I be afraid of you?"

Zhu Ting next to him and the others in the group were scared because once Zhu Xuan moved, he released his aura and they found he is already at Eighth stage. Moreover, the way he moved and the killing intent he released made them realise he has been through many fights and he is way too dangerous.

The tenth stage cultivator was scared shitless and he stuttered "I.. I…"

But before he could say anything, Zhu Xuan sliced his head off. He didn't stop there and moved fast with a bloodied sword in his hand. Others immediately took their weapon in their hands to fight him off, but they couldn't even defend against his attacks with his versatile movements and unpredictable sword style. It was a massacre.

Zhu Ting could only watch helplessly with a sword in his hand and a dreadful look on his eyes as Zhu Xuan beheading everyone in the group like cutting cabbages. In only took a few moments before everyone except Zhu Ting died at Zhu Xuan's hands.

Zhu Xuan killed everyone except Zhu Ting and started slowly walking towards him and said in a cold tone "You could have just stayed in the clan, but you had to follow me and try to kill me. I feel bad for killing idiots like you that are looking to die."

Zhu Ting was scared and knelt down, he begged "Zhu Xuan… No Eighth prince, I'm sorry. I only did what Second Prince asked me to do. Please let me live. I won't tell anyone about what happened and I won't bother you anymore in my life."

Zhu Xuan walked in front of Zhu Ting, looked down at him and coldly said "Do you take me for an Idiot like you?"

Looking at Zhu Xuan's murderous eyes, Zhu Ting realised he was going to be killed. He shouted lividly "Second Prince won't let you live Zhu Xuan; he will kill you like a dog you are if you don't let me go."

Zhu Xuan simply responded "If he really wants to go against me even after all he is done to me, then I will have to send him to meet you in hell."

Once he said that, he swung his sword and beheaded Zhu Ting. He then looted them and left the place.

After travelling a bit, he cleaned himself and injected his Qi into the dragon pendant and said "Senior I'm ready."

As he finished his words, a black vortex formed in front of him scaring Zhu Xuan.

Then he heard Shen Long's voice "Enter the portal."

He paused for a second, and then walked into the black vortex to start his mission.
