15 Chapter 15 – Business with Bai Clan

While the others were contemplating on Zhu Xuan's identity outside, three people were sitting facing each other in a room.

Bai Wuji asked "What is it that you wanted to discuss Young master Shen?"

Zhu Xuan didn't reply. He opened his pouch, took out the blood Linghzi and placed it on the table and said calmly "I want to sell it."

The other two were astonished seeing the blood Linghzi. They thought no one had the chance to get it during the attack from the warthogs and was planning to send another team back to the mountain to get it. They didn't think he already got it. Bai Wuji calmed down and asked with a doubt and curiosity "Young master Shen you don't need this blood Linghzi?"

He really was doubtful as to why Zhu Xuan is willing to sell the blood Linghzi because it is extremely beneficial for cultivators, especially helping them breakthrough to Qi gathering stage.

Zhu Xuan understood Bai Wuji's doubts and replied calmly "Truth is I found two 50 year old Linghzi in the cave of the warthogs. I already used one for myself to breakthrough, and I believe the other one won't be effective for me"

Bai Wuji now understood why Zhu Xuan wanted to sell it. Blood Linghzi is only effective once for a cultivator, unless it is a High tier Linghzi. For example, since Zhu Xuan already consumed 50 year old Linghzi, only the 100 year old Linghzi or older will be effective for his cultivation.

Bai Wuji thought for a while and said "50 year old blood Linghzi costs sixty thousand gold coins in the market. I would love to buy it, but we don't have enough gold coins now to buy them. Will it be fine if we buy it once we return to the city?"

Zhu Xuan was not sure what to do. He didn't want to travel with them back to Qinglu city or there may be a chance his real identity will be discovered by them. So he thought and said "Senior Wuji, actually I need to leave in a while to meet a friend in the next village. So I can't travel with you"

"Actually I will be visiting Qinglu city in seven days to stock some resources before returning to mountain for training. Is it okay if we make the exchange in seven days?"

Bai Ling's face dimmed when she heard he is leaving, she though he will be travelling with them to Qinglu city and she can spend more time with him.

Bai Wuji thought about it and said "Yeah we can meet then Young master Shen. How about we meet in Bai clan's restaurant at noon, seven days from now?"

Zhu Xuan agreed readily "Perfect for me. I also want to sell herbs, blood and horns of demon beasts Senior. " He directed his hand at the big backpack. He was planning to sell it in the market, but since he was here making a business deal already, he might as well sell it to the Bai clan.

Bai Wuji didn't think much and answered immediately "We will take it Young master Shen. They cost around 2700 gold in market. We will pay you 3000 gold coins"

Bai Wuji was there when Zhu Xuan packed all his things in the backpack before leaving the cave. Also he was the financial manager of the Bai clan. So he know their value and readily gave him a price.

With this money and the money he looted from the others, he know had more than 7000 gold coins. This should help him for a while. So Zhu Xuan was satisfied with the price and readily agreed. He collected the coins from Bai Wuji and said "Thank you Senior. I hope I can sell more resources I find to the Bai clan in future."

Bai Wuji smiled and said "You can look for me at the Bai clan anytime if you have more things to sell."

He gave Zhu Xuan an iron emblem with money printed on one side, and Bai clan on the other side. This is the emblem given to businessman who sells resources to Bai clan regularly. Zhu Xuan took it happily and kept it safe in his pouch and said "Then I will leave now Senior. I will see you in seven days."

Once he said that, he got up to leave. Bai Ling who was sitting next to Bai Wuji couldn't help but speak in an urgent tone when he saw him ready to leave "Young master Shen, why don't you stay and leave with us to the next village tomorrow morning?"

Zhu Xuan looked at her and he understood she had feelings for him. She was a beautiful girl and he liked spending time with her and talking to her, but he had no feelings like she had for him. He considered her a normal friend. He breathed deeply and spoke slowly "Sorry, but I have to reach the village today, I'm already late by few days and my friend will be anxious."

Of course it's a load of bullshit. He can't stay here for long and need to leave soon.

Looking at her depressed face after his response, he couldn't help but add "I really have to leave. But, I will be looking forward to meeting you in seven days Bai Ling"

When she heard him using her name, her eyes brightened and a smile blossomed on her face. Ever since they met, he never used her name; he always started asking questions and spoke directly without using her name or title. She always felt like they haven't got close at all since he was not willing to call her. So, she was extremely happy that he called her by her name now.

She replied happily with a big smile "I will be also looking forward to meeting you again Young master Shen."

He stood up and walked out of the Bai clan building. Bai Ling and Bai Wuji also came out to send him off. He cupped his hand and said "See you soon Senior Wuji, Bai Ling". After he said that, he turned and walked away.

The others from Bai clan who was also standing outside saw the young man walk away. Bai Wuji sighed, turned around and said to others "We will rest for today and leave for Qinglu city tomorrow morning."

Everyone acknowledged him and walked inside the building. Bai Wuji was also about to walk inside when he noticed her niece was still standing and looking at the direction Zhu Xuan disappeared.

He has been observing her for a few days and he knew that she fell for that young man. He couldn't help but look at her and with a teasing voice he said "Look at you acting like you are never going to see him again. You will be meeting him in a few days."

When Bai Ling heard her uncle's teasing remark, her face turned beet red and was embarrassed. She stomped her leg and shouted angrily "What nonsense are you speaking Uncle."

Bai Wuji laughed boisterously and said "Okay okay, I won't spout nonsense. But, you should know he is from our Qinglu city."

Bai Ling's interest immediately piqued and she shook her uncle's hand left and right and asked excitedly like a child "How do you know Uncle? Which family is he from?"

Bai Wuji gave a fake sigh of sadness "Look at you acting like a child and be so interested in him and his family. Its true they say women in love forget their home."

Bai Ling gave an angry stare at her uncle. He stopped teasing her and explained "Okay I won't tease you anymore. Haven't you realised when we first met he asked only about the young master of Cai family but not about us?"

Bai Ling also realised when her uncle said this and got the idea why her uncle said he is from Qinglu city. Before she could say anything, he continued "I also think he is not from a prominent family or he is in low status in a prominent family. He clearly knew that we are from Bai clan, but he didn't know anything about Cai family which is the next city to us. Moreover, I think he left because he didn't want us to find his identity and not to meet his friends."

Bai Wuji was always a clever person and analysed what he know and got everything right. If Zhu Xuan found out, Bai Wuji already figured out so many things about him because of not thinking through and make such a rookie mistake, he would bang in the wall and kill himself for his stupidity.

He continued "He might have his reasons for hiding it from us. So Bai Ling, since he doesn't want us to know his background, don't try to find out unless he is willing to share it with us."

Bai Ling also understood Zhu Xuan must have his difficulties for not revealing his identity and replied firmly "I understand Uncle."
