3 Chapter 3 - Welcome to Lightning Lake

Zhu Xuan calmed himself down and started to think about what happened, and couldn't help but frown when he thought about his second brother, Zhu Lang.

Zhu Lang, seven years older than Xuan, was the strongest among the younger generation of Zhu clan. No one knows for sure exactly how strong he is at the moment. He is rumoured to be already at the Meridian purification of Body purification Stage.

Body purification is divided into twelve stages, first three stages is Bone purification, second to sixth stage is Blood purification, sixth to ninth stage is Muscle purification, and finally last three stages is Meridian purification. Once your body is completely purified, you will start gathering Qi in you dantian to enter into Qi gathering stage.

Zhu Lang, being in Meridian purification is very close to Qi gathering stage.

He is destined to be the next clan patriarch. Though he looked like a kind person with his slight smile always on his face, he is actually a very cunning and ruthless individual. He just manipulated this body's previous owner and used him as "Killing the chicken to warn the monkey" to show his other siblings this is the fate of anyone who goes against him.

His fifth brother, Zhu Huang, started to attract some elders to his side recently. It was clear he is building strength to fight for the successor position for the next patriarch. He thought, "How come the dragon shaped pendant is still here". Then realisation hit him. The dragon shaped pendant is the reason he transmigrated to this world.

He couldn't help but wonder about the origin behind this dragon shaped pendant, how it possessed such ability, and how it was found in an ancient site on Earth.

He looked down at the pendant and couldn't help but fantasise about it. He couldn't help but give a silly smile and took off the pendant and turned it around and around and looked at it carefully. It looked the same as he remembered except for the eye is now blood red.

When he was about to check the pendant in detail, he heard the sound near him and turned towards the direction of the sound with caution.

He saw the tiger got up and walked towards him, it looked at him and he can see it was thinking about something. He suddenly received a message in his mind "I need your blood."

Xuan got frightened and subconsciously took few steps back.

"Don't be afraid. I'm not planning to kill you, I just need a little amount of your blood to verify something" the tiger replied calmly.

"May I know what it is you are verifying?" he asked somewhat with desperation being caught in a difficult situation.

"I'm not sure myself, it's just an intuition" the tiger replied with some eagerness in its eyes.

Zhu Xuan gave a wry smile. Did he even have a choice to deny when he is looking at this monstrosity?

He walked to one of the broken sword, picked it up and made a slash in his palm. Fresh blood fell from his hands. The tiger waved its giant paw and the blood became a sphere and flew towards the tiger's mouth.

It opened its mouth and spewed fire from its mouth and burned the blood.

Zhu Xuan was shocked silly. This body's predecessor didn't have much of knowledge regarding the world he is in, except some cultivation related details and the city he lived in. He mostly shut himself in his house and barely talked to anyone unless necessary. So it came as a shock to him when the present Zhu Xuan found demon beasts which can spew fire in this world are extraordinary. He felt awed looking at the big tiger.

Meanwhile, the tiger burnt the blood and slowly all the red blood was burnt and a golden colour blood was seen. It was much smaller than the blob of red blood.

The tiger exclaimed happily, "As I thought"

"May I ask what it is that you have discovered Senior?" asked Zhu Xuan cautiously.

"Your ancestors had noble bloodline just as I thought" It responded.

"Can I take this blood?" It asked him looking directly at his eyes.

"Of course Senior" he replied respectfully. Did he even have a choice? His life and death is on the tiger's hand. Even though he was curious about the golden blood, he could only accept the tiger's request. He smiled wryly at his situation.

The tiger immediately swallowed the golden blood and went back to lying down lazily and closed its eyes.

He thought to himself, thankfully it didn't ask for more blood or he will die of blood loss. While he was immersed in his thoughts, he felt a sharp pain and looked down to find the blood from his cut on the palm is being absorbed by the dragon shaped pendant.

"Are you kidding me? First the tiger, and now the pendant is taking his blood. Are you trying to run me dry of my blood?" he cursed loudly in his mind. It kept absorbing and he was really scared that he can't last for long.

Thankfully it stopped in a while, and the pendant gave a buzzing sound and vapour started evaporating from the pendant. The pendant which looked like an silver ornament, started peeling off and now was shining with a brilliant purple colour.

when this happened, he had a splitting headache. He couldn't help but knelt down and clasp his head with his hands. The pain was excruciating.

After a few seconds, the pain subsided and he heard an old man's voice in his mind "Initiating the system"

He heard a buzzing sound again and then a clear message sounded in his mind "Welcome to the minor world of Lightning Lake."
