25 Bloodline
Ark woke up feeling like he just had a nice old nap.
(Ark) Good morning everybody.
(EA) *snore*
(Dawn) Good morning sir.
(Ark) Thank you. Dawn, can you give me a status report on my health.
(Dawn) Current status is healthy, no signs of permanent damage.
(Ark) I guess this is the hospital?
(Dawn) Correct.
I got up from the bed and looked around the room. Everything was in white, the bed, curtains, and the walls.
I was about to open the door when I heard some voices yelling outside of my room.
"WHY CAN'T I GO SEE HIM? YOU SAID HE WAS PERFECTLY FINE SO THERE'S NO HARM IN ME GOING!"
"The patient is currently resting. It is best if you leave the patient to rest."
"I'M NOT GOING TO WAKE HIM UP OR ANYTHING! JUST GOING TO SEE IF HE IS ALRIGHT!"
"Go away little girl, let the professionals take care of it."
"DID YOU JUST CALL ME A LITTLE GIRL!"
"Calm down, you aren't his girlfriend you know."
"WHAT IF I AM?"
I could sense the person smirking even though I couldn't see it.
"You? His girlfriend? Haha, funny. But do go away, you are distracting."
"IMMA KILL YOU!"
I heard James' small voice trying to reason.
"Calm down Kali, she is a profe-"
"Shut up James."
"..."
Should I go our or not?
(EA) Don't go outside.
(Dawn) It is best to pretend to be sleeping sir.
Ark took a step back to head back to his bed, however, his hand accidentally knocked on the door making a loud thump.
"Who's there?"
Ark sighed.
God dammit.
Ark took a deep breath and opened the door.
Outside of the door was Kali, with her brown wavy hair and beautiful face. She wore a plain blue robe that made her look like a nun except without the nun hat.
The only difference was that Kali was now radiating violence.
"ARK! YOU ARE OK! WHO TOLD YOU TO GET HURT!"
Ark backed away nervously.
Kali noticed this and instantaneously changed her face to a worried one.
"Are you ok? You are fine right?"
Kali leaked over to inspect if he had any injuries when a slender arm stopped her from advancing.
"Please step back from the patient. I am a professional at healing so there is no need for you to inspect him for any injuries. I am quite good at this job you see."
Ark glanced at the familiar slender arm and glanced upwards to the arm's owner's face.
Oh, it's that pretty noona that helped me down from the rope.
The pretty sis had raven black hair that shined with an aura of holiness that associated with the life attribute. Her face was as white as always and her black eyes held a warm glow.
She also looked about just the same as when he first saw her, except for the fact that she was a bit cold towards Kali.
What happened while I was asleep?
(EA) I... would like to know too.
Ark glanced past the two arguing girls and saw James with a tired expression.
Ark walked towards James and held out his hand.
James high-fived him.
"So what's going on between the pretty sis and Kali?"
James gave Ark a wry look.
"Kali wanted to get in and see you, the nurse refused and then an unstoppable force met an immovable object."
Ark sighed.
Girls...
Ark saw a person with pure white hair coming our way.
"Hey old man, I have to thank you for taking me to the hospital after I was knocked out."
The instructor gave a wry smile.
"If you are really thankful, stop calling me old man. I'm still young you know?"
"But you have white hair and old people have white hair."
"... Ark, jokes aside, I need to tell you something. Come follow me."
Suspicious of his motives, Ark followed the instructor reluctantly.
The instructor walked all the way to an empty bathroom before turning around and casting some spell.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm casting a rank 4 sound barrier. We will be safe from any eavesdroppers."
Ark gave out a nasty look.
"You aren't going to **** me right? I heard about people going to the bathroom to do... you know... that."
The instructors face became blacker than coal as he glared at me with a passion that said he wanted to murder me.
I quickly brushed the joke off and got serious.
"So why am I here?"
The instructor took a deep breath as if trying to calm down before replying.
"Ok, firstly, you were supposed to die yesterday."
I froze.
"What?"
"Did you think you could survive a rank 3 spell with only a few broken bones when you only have a rank 1 constitution? Not only was it rank three but a fire element explosion spell, one of the most destructive spells in rank 3?"
"..."
"In this case, there are only two ways you could've survived. One is to awaken, which is obviously not the answer because you haven't awakened a new element, or experienced a strengthening of your old elements. You haven't shown signs of possession nor any animalistic actions."
"What's the second option?"
"The second option is that you awakened in a different way."
The instructor looked me in the eye with a serious gaze.
"It means, in addition to the ability you gain when you awaken, you get another. It means, you have a bloodline."
(Ark) Good morning everybody.
