22 Assassin
After the sun set, I took Kali back to her dorm.
"Bye Ark."
"Yeah..."
I watched Kali skip happily into the girls dorm her face red as an apple.
I groaned.
I'm sorry James, it seems I might take Kali for myself.
(EA) Dude, that cock block thou.
I admit, it was an amazing cock block.
(Dawn) ... hmph.
(EA) lol, are you jealous Dawn?
(Dawn) initiating termination sequence.
(EA) I WILL NOT BACK DOWN YOU TYRANT!
Explosions went off in my head as two forces had an all out mental war in my head.
I sighed.
These two never learn to get along...
I was walking down a busy toad towards my dorm while glancing at the moon.
Honestly, Jokes aside, I had no idea what I wanted to do with Kali...
Do I want her? Or do we stay as friends?
In a constant state of contemplation, I took a shortcut to the dorms by taking a black alleyway.
Do I like her?
Sighing at the overload of questions in my head. I glanced at the night sky again. The inky blackness invites a calm silence.
The sky held a few stars and had an absent moon.
Wait.
No moon?
I searched for a moon in the sky but I couldn't find it.
Somethings wrong. The moon was right there.
Then I realized another thing.
Why is it absolutely silent?
I was just in an overpopulated road, there is no way taking a turn would completely block out sound.
I realized with a jolt.
This is an illusion.
"Shit."
I immediately cast the rank 1 shadow spell stealth to disappear into the shadows.
Hiding, I tried to break out of the illusion but failed.
Shit shit shit.
I gently reached in for my throwing daggers and pulled out five.
And then I waited.
I lied in wait for the cause of this illusion to appear.
I slowed my breath to the minimum and stood as still as I could.
Suddenly, I heard the rustle of clothes to my left.
Immediately I threw five daggers, earning a grunt. I turned to see a humanoid figure fall to the floor.
I was about to approach the man to unveil his identity when my left eye twitched and I quickly drew another dagger and held it in front of my chest.
I heard a screech of steel and felt cold sweat appear on my neck.
S-strong.
I felt my dagger being overpowered by the sheer strength of a sword hacking down.
I stood in a deadlock with the hidden assassin. I thought to myself.
If I keep this up, I'm screwed.
I silently drew another dagger with my left hand and kept it hidden behind my back.
I then slanted my dagger to force the sword slide off of the blade causing the assassin to lose balance. I stabbed him in the back with the hidden dagger. He also collapsed.
Is it over?
(EA) You are going to jinx it.
Sure enough, a dagger came flying towards my head.
I barely blocked it, however the strike caused my dagger to fly out of my hands.
I clicked my tongue in annoyance.
One mass produced dagger and one trash sword left. This is looking great.
I held my sword in my right hand and my dagger in the left and faced the third assassin.
I could innately feel that this assassin was on a whole different level compared to the other two.
Just great.
We stood there glaring at each other waiting for the other to move.
Suddenly, the assassin lunged forward towards my heart and I took a step back to avoid it. My eye started to twitch.
Trusting my sense of danger, I kicked off of the wall and rolled to the left.
A ball of fire flew to the place where I was at.
Fuck. He has a fire ability.
I immediately knew that I was inevitably going to lose as time went on.
So why not finish this quickly.
I darted forward, my sword slicing towards his torso.
The assassin dodged to the left and threw another rank 2 fireball.
This fireball is a pain in the ass.
Due to its explosive property, it had a decent blast radius and had explosive power. No pun intended.
(EA) STOP SAYING STUPID THINGS WHEN WE ARE ABOUT TO DIE!
Sorry.
I leaned to the right, feeling the fireball pass me by an inch.
I leaped backwards and disappeared into the shadows.

A hooded man stood alone in a dark alleyway, standing alert as if waiting for something.
He stood there ever so slightly shifting his position to cover his blindspot. He held his blade in his hands as he waited for what was to come.
Suddenly, to the assassins left, a emerged from the darkness and slashed at its unprotected back.
However, the assassin quickly turned around and parried it.
Ark clicked his tongue.
God dammit. So close.
Ark was about to cast stealth when the assassin casted another fireball.
Ark immediately dodged to his left and threw his dagger at the assassin.
The assassin parried it easily and chased after Ark.
With a panicked look, Ark ran away. But in the end, he was no match for the assassin and was almost caught by the assassin.
Suddenly, Ark smirked and swirled around swinging his sword.
The assassin stopped and jump back, dodging the blade. However, now the assassin was suspended in mid air.
Gotcha. Should have noticed I collected all five daggers.
Ark drew five daggers and threw them at the assassin while he had no space to dodge.
Five solid thunks echoed throughout the alley and Ark smirked.
Quest completed.
However, Ark's smile went away immediately.
His left eye started to twitch.
He turned around and saw the assassin with his dying breath casting a spell. A rank 3 one.
Shit.
Ark reached in to grab a knife to intercept the spell, however he realized he had no more.
Why did I throw five, why not four.
Too late to dodge, Ark could only try to withstand the blow.
