20 Trash

First ten minutes

"Hey Ark, you think this looks great?"

"Yeah it does, it looks amazing."

"Nah, I think that one is way better."

"..."

Thirty minutes later.

"Hey Ark, do you think my friend will like this?"

Which friend?

"Yeah, I think she will love it."

"Nah, it's too pink, she said she likes purple."

"..."

One hour later.

"Hey Ark, don't those shoes look amazing. Do you think it suits me?"

I took a good look at the shoes.

"I think it will make you look like a model."

"Oh you player Ark, don't exaggerate. It doesn't fit me."

"..."

ARGHGGGGGGGGGGG.

3 hours later.

I blankly stared at the heavens.

"Hey Ark, I think this will fit you."

"Uh-huh."

"Nah, black suits you better."

"Uh-huh."

"But I do want to see you in white..."

"..."

—————————————————————

Two people were walking down a hallway in an outlet mall. They could be called a couple, if not for the major differences.

One was a girl with brown hair and a beautiful face that could topple cities. She had an aura of warmth and friendliness that people couldn't help liking. Although she was still immature, one could tell she would be a beauty when she grew up.

The other one was a boy with black hair long enough to cover a majority of his face. He wore a black bandana on his left eye and simple black clothes. Although he couldn't be called decent, he was appealing to the eye. Plain and simple.

The boy let out an aura of a very intellectual person yet his right eye resembled on of a dead fish.

A girl with her mother pointed at them.

"Mommy look, it's a lovey dovey couple."

The mom flushed and cast an apologetic look at the two.

The girl, who had heard this blushed and started coughing to hide her embarrassment.

The boy, however, lit up and warmly smiled. His aura instantly turned into a friendly one as he took out a silver coin and handed it to the little girl.

The mom started to stutter.

"You don't have to do this."

The boy faced the mother and let out a smile that could warm up the world.

"No problem ma'am. The girl just complemented me and my friend. It's my honor."

The boy then knelt down and ruffled the little girls hair.

"Thanks for the complement but she and I aren't dating."

The little girl tilted her head.

"Really?"

The boy nodded.

"Yes."

The little girl leaned close and whispered in his ear.

"Don't lose her big brother."

The boy smiled and said,

"Ok, I won't."

HELL YEAH!!!

I ESCAPED FROM THAT HELL!

I glanced at the blushing Kali next to me, to flustered to think about shopping.

One point to innocent kids. May god bless them.

I was so glad that this kid stopped Kali's shopping spree that I gave her one of my few silver coins.

I waved at the little girl with the warmest smile and went on shopping but this time with me in control.

I smirked at Kali.

"Are you embarrassed that the girl thought we were a couple?"

Kali flushed even more.

"N-no, who would wanna date you!"

I laughed.

"Okay, I need to go get more blades, you mind going to the weapons store?"

Still in a daze, Kali absentmindedly nodded.

I internally pumped my fist.

HELL YEAH!

(EA) THANK YOU CHILD! I THOUGHT I WAS DYING!

Yes we all did. Is Dawn still down?

(Dawn)...

Yep. May the odds be in your favor Dawn.

I walked into the weapons store with Kali, and greeted the boss.

"Hiya old man, hows business?"

The old man was a short man that reeked of oil and sweat.

He snorted.

"Same as usual, did you break your blades again?"

I smiled.

"Nope, I got better at handling more blades than three so I'm here to get extras."

"Humph, the blades you want are in the back."

Tossing the man a copper coin, I walked towards the back leaving Kali in her own dream land.

I walked to the back of the room analyzing the shelf's for a good weapon.

(EA) That sword is good. That dagger looks nice. Whoa that bow is exquisite.

I finally found the type of dagger I used and took five off the rack. Right when I was about to leave, a pitch black sword caught my eye.

Curious, I took it off the rack and tested its sharpness.

I frowned.

It's dull...

I rushed towards the front.

"Hey old man."

The blacksmith glanced up.

"What do you want now."

I handed him the blade.

"Why is this blade in the shop?"

The man glanced at the sword with a sympathetic face.

"It's a failed creation."

"How?"

"Well, it's technically a success that ended in a failure."

I tilted my head.

The blacksmith seeing this sighed.

"It was a blade that was designed to grow stronger as it consumed rare metals."

I opened my eyes shocked.

"How does it do that."

The old man took out a block of steel and stabbed it with the sword. The steel warped as it was sucked into the blade.

"How is that a failure?"

The blacksmith turned around and continued to do his work.

"You see, while the blade had its intended purpose, it was to costly. You saw how I fed it steel?"

"Yes"

"Well it takes about a hundred times that amount for it to grow as strong as that block of steel."

The blacksmith stopped working and turned around and faced me.

"Say that steel is cheap and it's ok. However, what if you want it to consume rare metals, in order to make the sword as strong, you will need the materials of a hundred swords that will come out as strong as the sword you are upgrading. So what's better, a hundred swords or one sword that are equal in strength?"

I glanced at the sword feeling sympathy.

"I want these five daggers and this sword."

The blacksmith sighed.

"You can take the blade for free. It will be a fifty copper. Ten for each knife."

"Why is the blade free?"

The blacksmith glanced towards the sky with a complicated gaze.

"Because it is trash that no one wanted to buy, except for you."
