5 Field Trip

'She tilted her head nonchalantly towards the sky. After a few minutes of silence l, she fixed her gaze on me and asked, "if you could choose one thing to stay permanently in this world, what would it be?"'

I groaned, not knowing when I fell asleep. I looked around and saw Mother sleeping next to me. I carefully got up and repeated my daily routine like nothing was wrong. When I checked my face I wasn't shocked to see all the bruises gone, but I noticed that I was covered in sweat.

I slapped myself into reality, the pain told me I wasn't dreaming anymore, and quickly got ready and was about to leave when remembered something. I grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around Mother.

"I'll be leaving," I whispered in her ear and picked up the slip.

Before leaving I looked at Mother one more time and saw that she had a peaceful face. Smiling, I left the house, and proceeded to walk to school.

Oi, alternative self. Are you awake?

(Evil Ark) ...

Hey, I know you are awake.

(Evil Ark) Shut the hell up. I need sleep to recover from yesterday's beating.

I smirked.

Imma be the evil alarm clock today.

(Evil Ark) No way in hell you are. I'm going to put you on silence mode.

You can't put me on silence. I'm not a phone. I don't even have a phone.

(Evil Ark) …

Hello?

As I tried to get a response from my other self, I saw my school up ahead. Different from usual, today it was surrounded by old busses. The busses were mostly white with a bit of moldy yellow. They looked like today was going to be its last adventure.

I saw a bunch of teachers screaming for some kids attention, among them were coach and my math teacher.

"Everybody who didn't bring a signed slip come over here."

"Class 8A with me."

"Class 8D"

"Hey Ark, get over here, your class is with me." coach yelled over the crowd. Smiling I went to his group. Was today my golden day or something.

"Oh yeah, give me your slip."

I was wondering which class I was in got chosen to be with him, when I looked at the group and saw my best friends. I might just win the lottery today.

(Evil Ark) Nope. With your luck, we might be buried underneath the cave.

I thought you were on silent?

(Evil Ark) …

After the chaos ended the teachers gathered their groups and gave instructions. We loaded the bus to the caverns, and I took a seat in the very back. The seat next to me held the lovebir-my friends. They were talking together in a friendly and flirtatious way. It was entertaining to look at James's face flush and see him waving around his snickers bar.

(Evil Ark) I wanna puke.

When the bus started to move everyone sat down and started chattering. I, who liked being left alone, was in peace until someone sprayed me with water. I looked up. One row in front of me were two faces I didn't want to see. Anthony and Jessica, with An addition to Percy sitting next to them on the opposite end.

"Hey scum, isn't it hot today? I'll help you cool off," Anthony said while splashing water on me.

"You should take a shower, you smell like trash," Jessica taunted.

(Evil Ark) Hello, please guide yourself to the trash can where all the other broken plastic dolls are discarded.

Woah. Calm down.

I ignored their taunts and just kept cool. Seeing how I ignored them Anthony took his bottle cap off and poured its entire contents onto me. Finally, James and Kali noticed what was happening.

James had a stiff face and was raising his snickers bar as if it was a sword, Kali looked like as if she was about kill someone. I could see a demonic aura rising from her. I looked at my friends and smiled showing them it was alright and to calm down.

I then sighed. My dripping wet hair, clothes, and bandana were starting to irritate my skin. Gladly I wasn't sitting near the AC. I took off my bandana and wrung all the water out of it. I pulled my hair back, revealing my usually hidden face, then put my bandana over my eye.

The trio's faces were shocked. Probably because had never seen me reveal my face. In fifth grade the spent two semesters trying to get me to show them what was underneath my hair. I smiled when seeing their shocked and curious faces and looked to my friends. They also have never seen my face.

For some reason, they couldn't take their eyes off me. Especially the girls. Kali looked amazed and Jessica seemed shocked. They especially liked to stare directly into my face.

I could hear James muttering.

"You should get a haircut."

Why? To show my eye? I'm pretty sure that although my eye is sexy, if I do say so myself, it's not that amazing.

(Evil Ark) I want to puke again, for a different reason.

Before I could ask my friends what was wrong, coach yelled out loud.

"Hey we're here. Wait until the bus stops before you stand up. Get in a single file line outside."

The bus went to a sudden stop and everyone rushed to get out. While I waited for the mob to get out, I let my hair down again. When the crowd thinned out I got up and exited the bus with my friend. I did a couple of stretches outside then joined the group.

Today was going to be a fantastic day
