19 A Sad story begins part 2 Ethon’s story

Ethon looked at the tomb with disbelief in all his face.

Edas bowed his head with respect and sadness.

Ethon was stunned. He couldn't understand why the tomb was inside the forest.

"What!...But...Why... Teacher! Why is his tomb here?! He promised me that he would be okay and have a good life before I died!" Ethon remember everything about his past life, and the sight of the tomb was something he couldn't accept.

"We don't know either. After we arrived to the forest we found the tomb in the same place we are now" Edas' voice was full of indifference. He didn't know the reason during more than a hundred years, so he gave up. He only came to visit Tirrel Vold's tomb every month twice.

Ethon kneeled with tears in his eyes.

Maybe he was a cold person but right now his emotions were confused and he couldn't control them. It was the same when he and Kent met again in the forest. Ethon was trying his anger with all his might.

Ethon's memories were flowing like a river but right now he was just a kid that needed soneone to hug and cry. However there was no one.

Edas looked at him for a while, waiting for Ethon to stand up and calm himself.

Ethon knew that his teacher was watching him, but he didn't care what Edas thought about him. He just care that it was a long time ago when he cried like this.

After some hours passed, Ethon finally calmed himself and stood up. His eyes were red, buy his gaze was determinate.

"Master Edas, help me to become stronger and to control my magic, so I can use it with full power" Ethon face was expressionless and his voice was cold.

Edas knew that voice. He heard it a long time ago when he was a cub.

"You have my word, my Lord" Edas bowed his head respectfully. "Follow me".

Ethon gave one last look at the tomb and left behind Elder Edas.

*******************

A long long time ago.

"What a beautiful day, the birds are singing and the small animals are running everywhere" a beautiful woman sighed peacefully with her beutiful smile.

She and her husband were happily living with their little sole son in a quiet and peaceful village with amicable people. You could call it a perfect life.

However, everything end that day with a terrible accident.

The little boy was playing with his mom while his dad was hunting with other men in the forest. Everyone in the village thought that that day was going to be the same as always, but this time an army came to the village with a notification of one of the nearest kingdoms.

The villagers were surprised because their village wasn´t in the territtory of any kingdom.

The soldiers who had arrived in the village observed attentively to all the inhabitants, and the inhabitants observed them also. Many seemed to understand what was happening and others had hoped that they had only stopped in the village to rest. However, the one who appeared to be the captain of the troop pulled a parchment out of his purse and extended it. The following words were recorded in the minds of the villagers.

"The Great King Sadec orders all the villages near the Kingdom of Zarse guarantees them to join the battle that will soon be held against the Kingdom of Sevech. All men over the age of twenty and under fifty shall be obliged to join the ranks of the army of the kingdom. Whoever is found in breaking the king's order will be killed at the moment. I declare from this moment that all the villages near the kingdom in a radius of four hundred miles... " The soldier was reading the king's verdict when an old man interrupted him.

"My Dear young man, I regret to inform your king, but our villa is almost eight hundred miles away from any kingdom, therefore, the order of your king does not apply to us, so I invite you to retire kindly and to stop wasting your valuable time reading something that we will not obey. I would also like to remind your king that we, the clan of the Light and the clan of the Darkness, have no King and we guide ourselves in our own laws" the old man explained with a quiet voice with authority.

The Soldier was silent. He didn't expect that response from the head of the town.

"What Nonsense are you saying? You Will Die for Your audacity" The soldier who was behind the one who had The King's decree began to shout against the villagers.

"Gerard! Shut up!"The Soldier with the King's decree looked at him with anger.

The villagers watched how the scene developed in complete silence. They understood perfectly what it meant to ignore the orders of that King in particular, but they could not abide them as they previously had the other kingdoms requested their forces and like now, they completely denied the decree.

The soldiers didn't know what to do either. They had only been ordered to take the King's decree to the nearby towns and make sure that they fulfilled. However, they did not want to fight against the clans of Light and Darkness, as they were well known for their strength and their ability to easily tame the Spirits of all the elements. They also had a reputation for being good strategists. Many kingdoms could fall into their hands without any trouble, but these two clans had been declared neutral and accepted any refugee from the wars.

"I understand, I will retire with my men and mention to the King your decision" he left with his soldiers.

A week passed without the people being bothered.

The mother and her husband watched as their son ran through the pastures leading into the forest. It was very quiet that day and no one could remember a day as beautiful and silent as that.

By the time the inhabitants noticed that something was not right, it was too late.

The Kingdoms had succeeded in reaching a truce between them to be able to get rid of the clans of Light and Darkness once and for all.

The fire in the houses began to expand throughout the town, one could hear cries. The soldiers of all the kingdoms killed without battling women, children and the elderly. It was chaos and there was no place to flee, the only place where they could flee was in the direction were the forest was.

The inhabitants took the children and began to send them to the forest and to run without looking back, some even called their tame spirit-beasts to take care of them in the forest. They realized that they would have to fight the soldiers in order to at least protect their children and that they could flee safely into the forest. By the time they regained order, the clans got to work and began to counterattack.

In that battle many died, and several others were missing. The wounded were few unlike the dead. The clans of Light and Darkness were exterminated that very day, and the surviving children began to be persecuted in order to prevent such powerful clans from resurfacing. The kingdoms were weakened and thanks to the truce, they stayed in peace for several years. This battle was known as "The Infernal Battle" as not only humans fought, but even demons came into battle which were familiars of several inhabitants who belonged to the clan of Darkness, and there was even angels who fought at their side being familiars of some of the clan of Light.

Three years after that terrible battle, The Crown prince of the kingdom which recovered quickly went for a walk near the frontiers of the forest where several children of the clans had fled. As he walked near the edge, he heard something like a groan of grief and went into the forest. His guard tried to stop him, but they knew how foolish the prince was when he got an idea in his head. After entering about eighteen yards in the woods, he found a child close to his age with a jet-black hair and a skin as white as snow, but out of the fact that it breathed strongly and with difficulty, the prince would have thought he was dead.

Then he ordered his guards to pick him up and returned to the castle.

First, he talked to his mother the Queen to help him convince his father. At first the king refused, but later he agreed that No Had Children of your child's age. The black-haired boy was named The Prince's friend.

"Hello, my name is Tirrel Vold, and yours is?" the Prince presented himself showing a friendly smile.

The black-haired boy watched the ultramarine blue eyes of the Prince and saw in them that sincerity he saw in his mother's purple eyes. He knew he could trust him.

"My name is Ethon, Ethon Kyles" the boy presented himself with a kind smile.

They never imagined that they triggered the clock of fate.
